Master Luo Yu

Chapter 92 - 92 Outside of Portland

Chu Feng, heading for the conference room door, merely waved his hand to the crowd without looking back.

"Goodbye, everyone!"

Just as Chu Feng's hand was on the doorknob and he began to turn it gently, Terry finally abandoned any thought of bargaining further.

"Mr. Chu Feng, please name your price!"

A smirk playing on his lips, Chu Feng slowly closed the door he had opened and turned to look at Terry, who had slumped into his chair. He chuckled lightly.

"Three hundred million. One hundred million US dollars for each Gate of Breaking Boundary."

The exorbitant price Chu Feng declared stunned everyone present.

"Alright! On behalf of the federal government, I accept this offer..."

What surprised the others even more was that Terry actually agreed to this price!

"Good, then it's a pleasure doing business with you!"

"The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Chu Feng. It seems I underestimated the confidence of a top Exorcist!"

Terry shook his head, stood up, shook Chu Feng's hand, and spoke with a hint of amazement.

In Portland, Oregon, within a building shaped like a gigantic music player. Due to a power outage, the entire building was shrouded in darkness.

The once-bustling building was now a scene of utter disarray.

In the mayor's office, located in the farthest corner of the third floor, Mayor Ted was being assisted by his blonde secretary in slowly removing his clothes.

Beneath his clothes, he gazed at his sagging, wrinkled skin covered with age spots. His deep blue eyes were filled with intense disgust.

Finally, I can get rid of this ugly human shell!

The blonde secretary, her hands busy, did not respond to the man's muttering.

After she had removed all his clothes, she picked up the sharp scissors already prepared on the table.

SNIP. SNIP.

The continuous sound of metal scraping echoed.

In no time, a complete human skin was neatly spread out on the office desk.

"Keep this safe for me. Put it in my collection room once we're back."

"Yes, Priest Sirio."

After shedding its disguise, a blood-red figure gently stretched.

Its crimson skin slowly rippled like flowing water.

Moments later, a young man with short brown hair and deep, piercing blue eyes appeared in its place.

An extremely well-fitted indigo suit highlighted his figure, making him look even more dashing and imposing.

Even the blonde secretary, who had been waiting by his side, had a flash of infatuation in her eyes.

Priest Sirio, having reverted to his true self, looked in surprise at the secretary, who had yet to make a move.

"What's the matter? You can't bear to shed your current skin?"

"The followers below quite like my current appearance. I plan to keep it for a while."

Tracing her slender white fingers over her peaks and valleys, the blonde secretary spoke seductively, her expression full of allure.

"Hmm, it does feel quite nice. After our plan succeeds, remember to reward the outstanding followers well."

Pulling his hand back from her, Priest Sirio nodded affirmatively.

"No problem, they will certainly be satisfied!" The blonde secretary, who had an impressive figure, pushed out her chest, a captivating smile on her face.

When Chu Feng arrived by helicopter at the temporary camp on the outskirts of Portland, it was already early the next morning.

After getting off the helicopter and circling the area, Chu Feng wondered, Could everyone have died in the city?

Chu Feng scouted the perimeter of the temporary camp but found no citizens who had escaped the city.

The camp only contained Exorcists, all busy at work, dressed in specialized grey-black clothing and wearing pitch-black masks.

Indeed, under Chu Feng's powerful Spiritual Perception, everyone in the camp was clearly an Exorcist, each emitting fluctuations of Spiritual Power.

Seeing the uniformly dressed Exorcists around him, all with very similar demeanors, Chu Feng suddenly wondered, Could this be the Exorcism Force trained by the American government? There are quite a few of them, but how strong are they?

Everyone in the camp seemed to know Chu Feng's identity, giving him a once-over as they passed.

Chu Feng frowned at the strange glances from those around him.

He didn't quite understand why these people were milling about him as if he were a tourist attraction.

Just as Chu Feng was growing impatient from the crowd's scrutiny, SCREECH! A piercing screech of brakes cut the air.

"Mr. Chu Feng, welcome!" a hearty voice boomed from a large off-road vehicle.

No sooner had the voice faded than the vehicle's door opened, and a burly, bear-like figure leaped nimbly out.

Strong, not bad, was Chu Feng's first impression of the man.

Judging by the Spiritual Power emanating from him, if this man had an Attributes panel, his Spiritual Energy Value would be at least around fifty.

Such strength meant that in actual combat, he could likely handle Evil Spirit Level Bizarre events on his own. In Chu Feng's office, he would definitely qualify as a Fifth Level Exorcist.

"Moody, Captain of the Lionheart Exorcism Squad." The man stated, extending a massive, bear-paw-like hand toward Chu Feng.

"Colonel Moody, hello." Chu Feng said, glancing at the man's military rank as he returned the handshake, his expression composed.

Under the robust colonel's guidance, the two soon took their seats in a military tent.

"Mr. Chu Feng, the situation is urgent, so I'll get straight to the point and outline what we know."

Seeing Moody get straight to the point, Chu Feng didn't dawdle either. "Okay. The sooner I understand, the sooner I can start the mission."

"The entire city of Portland is currently teeming with Bizarre events due to numerous human deaths, compounded by the incitements of a Cult. However, we'll be responsible for clearing those Bizarre events. You just need to be cautious on your way to the Gate of Breaking Boundary. I believe that with your strength, they shouldn't pose much of a problem."

"As for the Gates of Breaking Boundary..." Colonel Moody promptly pulled a few photos from his pocket and handed them over. "These are their latest photos. According to information from The Holy See, they're about to open!"

Taking the photos, Chu Feng looked at the giant serpentine pupils, now almost fully open, and nodded lightly. "Indeed, these three Gates of Breaking Boundary are about to open. If things progress quickly, some visitors from Hell might pop out at any moment."

"Then we can't afford to delay any longer..." As he spoke, Moody passed over another file. "This is the information we've gathered on the behind-the-scenes force responsible for this incident, the Holy Advent Society."

The words "Holy Advent Society" instantly captured Chu Feng's attention, and he hurriedly took the file.
