"Oh, you mean this!" Chu Feng looked utterly unconcerned, casually twirling the long knife in his hand. "It's just a rather sharp toy!"
"Heh~ Hehe... toy…" Melulan laughed stiffly a few times, but then she dared not let Chu Feng in. She slowly inched towards the open doorway, one hand secretly reaching for the doorframe.
"Alright, I'm not here for you this time!"
Seeing through her subtle movements, Chu Feng shook his head and stepped directly into the villa's yard.
"Hey~ Mr. Chu Feng! You shouldn't..."
Melulan tried to grab the hem of Chu Feng's coat. Though she felt the texture of his windbreaker, her hand grasped at nothing.
By the time she recovered, Chu Feng was already at the villa's entrance. Because Melulan had rushed out, the villa's front door wasn't properly closed. Through the gap, one could still vaguely see the luxurious decorations inside.
Fifth Level... Oh, now it's Sixth Level. It seems the financial situation of a Sixth Level Exorcist from the Agency is quite good!
With a slight nod, an exquisitely crafted Array Plate suddenly appeared in his palm.
This thing's concealment ability is too strong. It's best not to let it escape.
As Chu Feng lightly tossed it, a transparent barrier instantly enveloped the entire villa.
After doing this, Chu Feng pulled open the door, his Spiritual Perception fully activated.
But seeing only two other auras of light besides himself, his eyes narrowed.
It can actually evade my Spiritual Perception? I've never encountered such a hiding ability before.
Following the markers in his mind, Chu Feng leaped, landing directly on the second floor of the villa.
Melulan, who had just rushed into the villa, saw Chu Feng leap to the second floor, and her expression immediately turned anxious.
"Mr. Chu Feng... Mr. Chu Feng, please calm down! If Samor..."
As Chu Feng's figure vanished, Melulan had no time to persuade him further. She hurriedly leaped up, landing unsteadily on the second floor.
When she hastily burst into Samor's room, she found that things were somewhat different from what she had imagined.
"Mr. Chu Feng, are you saying... a Bizarre?" Samor asked hesitantly.
Hearing Chu Feng say that the Bizarre which hunted Exorcists was right here, disbelief appeared on both their faces. Their gazes swept over the various Warning Crystals, Exorcism Formations, and priest-blessed crosses, the suspicion on their faces deepening.
"Mr. Chu Feng..."
"Stop! I know what you want to say," Chu Feng cut in impatiently.
If this weren't their villa, and if they weren't Exorcists from the Agency, I would've left long ago. Why waste my breath!
Chu Feng raised the long, slender Demon Hunting Blade. Its bright, cold gleam reflected on the faces of the Samor siblings, and the oppressive power emanating from it instantly made their expressions change.
"You vile thing! You've been listening for so long and still refuse to come out?"
Guided by the marker in his mind, the long knife, pulsing with blade light, descended like lightning.
Samor, having witnessed the might of Chu Feng's long knife, pulled Melulan into his arms. He fully expected that after this strike, he and his sister would be looking for a new place to live today.
Just as Samor's eyes widened and he circulated all his Spiritual Power to brace for the villa's collapse, the unexpected happened.
The icy glint of the blade, carrying an incredibly dense force, struck a corner of the bedroom. However, the anticipated scene of walls crumbling and the house collapsing didn't occur. From the corner of the wall, a hunched figure suddenly appeared, astonishingly taking the full force of Chu Feng's strike.
However, the price it paid was not small.
Its withered right arm fell heavily to the floor with a dull THUD.
The hunched figure then crashed through the wall behind it, landing in the villa's ground-floor lobby.
Chu Feng, long knife in hand, immediately followed it down.
"It's really a Bizarre!" the siblings exclaimed, left staring blankly at the large hole in their bedroom wall.
"If that Bizarre is really hunting Exorcists, then for it to appear here today..." Samor mused. Melulan and he exchanged a glance, the relief of a narrow escape dawning on their faces.
The Warning Crystals and crosses, in which they had placed so much faith, finally reacted after the Bizarre appeared. The Warning Crystals turned pitch black, and the priest-blessed crosses began their usual inversion. As for the Exorcism Formation, one of its corners was unfortunately shattered when the Bizarre crashed through, rendering it useless.
On the villa's ground floor, Chu Feng coldly observed the Bizarre, which had just struggled to its feet.
Standing straight, it was nearly three meters tall. Its body was withered, its fur a sickly yellow. On its slender head, two huge eyes stared intently at Chu Feng. No lips could be seen on its parched face. Its emaciated limbs were attached to an enormous belly, large enough to hold a grown man.
From its neck downwards, a pinkish fissure ran down its upper body to its lower abdomen.
The Bizarre looked at Chu Feng's tall frame and the potent Spiritual Power swirling around him, its two gigantic eyes filled with greed.
"Huuungry..." a voice rasped.
As the sound emerged, the fissure on the Bizarre's body began to open slightly.
Peering into the slightly parted gap, Chu Feng frowned.
Two rows of fine, sharp teeth lined the sides of the fissure in the Bizarre's chest, resembling a neat zipper. Deep within the fissure, in the recesses of the Bizarre's body, countless fanged tentacles writhed in a transparent slime.
As the enormous maw flexed, a few drops of slime dripped from the bottom of the fissure onto the floor, instantly transforming to look like clear water.
So that's where the "clear water" came from at the sites where the other Exorcists went missing, Chu Feng realized.
"So hungry~ Please, let me eat you!" the Bizarre pleaded. Its voice, though faint, was clearly audible to the three Exorcists in the villa.
The bewitching power in its voice was instantly torn to shreds by Chu Feng's formidable spiritual power.
However, Samor and Melulan clearly lacked the ability to resist such a bewitching force. Melulan struggled for only a second before her expression softened with a strange tenderness. She then leaped down from the second floor. Samor followed close behind, clutching his head and writhing in agony.
"My poor thing, you must be starving!" Melulan murmured, striding towards the Bizarre's slowly opening maw. "It's my fault. I'm coming to feed you right now!"
She was clearly intending to satiate the Bizarre's hunger with her own body.
Watching the Bizarre slowly open its maw, Chu Feng thought to himself, This Bizarre doesn't seem very bright.
