Chapter 123: The Underground Dark Arena

Chapter 123: Chapter 123: The Underground Dark Arena

In the dim light of the changing room, a shadow swept across quickly.

When Wen Shu turned around, she only had time to catch Bai Qiao’s terrified eyes, and behind the swaying curtain, the tall figure draped in a black robe who had seized her and leaped out the window.

"Someone help! Bai Qiao has been taken away!"

Wen Shu shouted, trying to draw the attention of others in the clothing shop, but strangely, no one responded.

Watching those two silhouettes getting further away, she put aside her confusion and transformed her tall figure into a blur, quickly chasing after them!

The Central District was lined with stone fortresses, and the dark alleys were winding and hidden. The male familiar with the terrain zigzagged swiftly.

Wen Shu dared not stop for even a moment, just able to catch sight of his figure from afar.

In the original plot, Bai Qiao was never kidnapped before the banquet, and except for the original owner, no one would target her!

The identity of the other party is unknown, and if there are any dangers, she dares not imagine the consequences...

Wind whistled past her ears as Wen Shu gasped for breath in pursuit, until finally, that silhouette stopped.

She ran a few steps, prepared to snatch Bai Qiao directly, but seeing the scene before her, she hid herself behind the alley.

"Entrance Totem."

Under the high-rise shadows lay a slightly raised domed building, lined with luxurious nobles.

To maintain order, several fierce-looking males stood on either side, collecting the totems with intimidating presence.

The shadow carrying Bai Qiao cut in line, trying to enter but was stopped by their raised hands.

Unpleasantly pulling down his hood, revealing a gaunt scarred face, he spoke coldly, "Ordered to deliver the new female."

Having said that, he stepped into the building, and as the door opened, dim red light spilled out, accompanied by muffled cheers.

"This is the underground arena..."

Who did Bai Qiao offend to be brought here?

Wen Shu furrowed her brow, the situation seemed tricky.

This sinister arena is filled with bloodshed and violence, not only secretly trading Forbidden Slaves, illegally operating fighting pits, but even illegally selling females to satisfy the private desires of nobles!

No one knows who built this place, but with numerous nobles backing it, no one dares to shut it down.

Even the City Lord’s female offspring, if captured inside, would likely meet a grim fate.

Within the original storyline, Bai Qiao mistakenly intruded into the place, and in just a few Chapters, was drugged and fought over, nearly losing her life.

Wen Shu leaned against the cold wall, contemplating strategies with a heavy heart, when a few figures slowly approached.

A shrill mocking voice rang above her head, "The females from the arena now come outside to welcome guests?"

A light wheat-colored hand pinched her face, scrutinizing it for a few seconds before laughing to a companion behind, "A newcomer..."

With his words, several greasy gazes cast towards her, brazenly appraising her.

Wen Shu’s expression turned icy, as she scanned the wobbly-footed males before her, her lips curling coldly.

Moments later, amidst the severely injured unconscious males, a slender figure in a black robe was gripping a totem and exiting the alley.

"Entrance Totem."

Wen Shu naturally handed it over, walking straight into the arena.

Descending the stairs, the deafening shouts grew increasingly clear in the gradually brightening environment.

"Kill him! Kill him!"

"Chop his head off fast! What a useless trash!"

The huge circular arena was set in the center of the dim space, currently filled with the most primal violent "performance" amidst flying blood and flesh.

"Splat—"

Amidst the nobles’ cheers, under the dazzling glazed lamp light, a vibrant life tragically perished.

The air was thick with the smell of blood, and Wen Shu moved her gaze away from the headless, bloody corpse, straining to catch Bai Qiao’s scent.

"Leader, do you need to eat something?"

She quickly moved along the wall, and as she passed the audience seating, a familiar voice suddenly sounded ahead.

"No need, we’ll be leaving shortly."

The male voice, lazy and indifferent, floated into her ear.

How could it be him!

Wen Shu stiffened, wanting to bypass him, but several newcomers crowded in from behind.

She cursed silently, pulled her hood lower to cover her face completely, and quickened her pace resolutely.

In the swaying view, the long crossed legs drew nearer.

She deliberately slowed her breathing, keeping her gaze away from the exit, but a tall shadow covered her overhead.

Her heart clenched tightly, abruptly halting, yet still too slow, as she crashed into the male’s hard and broad chest.

"What’s wrong with you!"

Wen Shu’s heart thudded wildly as she stumbled a few steps backward, the male’s subordinate glaring warningly, ready to push her away.

However, that hand hadn’t touched her yet, and was blocked by a broad hand with bulging veins, "Hold on."

In the chaotic atmosphere, an aggressive gaze fell lightly upon her.

Wen Shu clenched her sleeve tightly, seeing those shiny black boots approaching, glancing at the gap beside the male.

"How can a male be so soft-bodied?"

A deliberately elongated, ambiguous tone sounded above, detailed beneath was a hint of gritted teeth.

"Victory! Hei Li won!"

The arena behind erupted in cheers once again.

"Sorry, urgent matters!"

Wen Shu deepened her voice, suddenly ramming into the person blocking her path, and as he tried to stop her, she ducked beneath to slip past.

"Stop—"

A voice laced with male anger came from behind, but Wen Shu didn’t halt, charging headlong into the depths of the arena.

As she passed the dimly lit slave auction, she followed Bai Qiao’s scent, stopping outside a row of hidden rooms.

She crouched in a dark corner, her eyes flickering with green light.

There were several guards before the rooms, all tall, with restrained yet dangerous auras.

Wen Shu furrowed her brow tightly, pondering how long it would be before the males stumbled upon could catch up.

The ranks of these Beastmen were not low; she might not succeed, but the longer she waited, the more perilous Bai Qiao’s situation became.

"Ah—"

While she hesitated, a painful scream suddenly echoed from inside.

Wen Shu’s pupils quivered, quickly extending her claws, but before she could attack, a pair of powerful arms wrapped around her from behind.

Scorching hands pressed against her abdomen, firmly pulling her into the male’s hard embrace.

"Running away?"

The familiar warm breath brushed past her ear, the low, hoarse voice making Wen Shu’s ears tingle.

She tilted her head slightly, but a coarse hand pinched her cheek, rendering her immobile.

Rough strands grazed her face as the male buried his in her neck, deeply inhaling with a lazy yet sinister voice, "Wen Shu, you know... how long I’ve been searching for you?"

The hand at her waist abruptly tightened, causing Wen Shu to grunt in pain, instinctively aiming a jab at his shoulder, but before she could succeed.

Her cheek was gently turned, revealing Luo Fei’s exceedingly pale yet handsome face in the dimness.

His distracted gaze meticulously traced her brows, those dark red eyes filled with possessive obsession.

"I’ve missed you..."
