Chapter 117: Chapter 117: I Can Help You "Heal

Wen Shu’s tone suddenly changed, and the males naturally sensed something was off.

But before they could inquire further, the sky, thick with dark clouds, was slashed by a fierce bolt of lightning, followed by a torrential downpour.

In the midst of the pattering rain, the Beastmen were in chaos, as the City Lords from each city braved the storm to direct an overnight migration, forcing the groups to quicken their pace.

It wasn’t until daylight that this sudden storm finally ceased.

As sunlight poured down, a towering white wall rose from the horizon, no less majestic than the walls of Su’en City.

"We’ve arrived in Yasen City!"

Someone shouted excitedly, waking Wen Shu from her slumber.

She slowly opened her eyes and saw a city wall crafted from snow-white stones, standing amidst lush greenery, with surfaces adorned in Divine Tree Golden Patterns, dazzling and sacred under the sun.

At the broad city gate, rows of solemn guards stood firm beside the massive entrance, with two intricately patterned red-gold gates towering dozens of meters high behind them.

Countless caravans and playful Beastmen were bustling into the city.

The lively atmosphere was in stark contrast to the silence of the Affiliated City.

While Wen Shu was watching intently, Mious’s deep voice sounded beside her, "We have a house in the western part of the city. Would you like to stay there?"

The rain-shielding animal skin was lifted, and the warm sunlight caressed her cheeks, making Wen Shu squint comfortably, feeling relaxed all over.

She stretched her stiff limbs, looked back at Mious, and a hint of a smile appeared on her lips, "Let’s stay with mother and the others; it’ll be lively with more people around."

After all, as a Villainess, there was still much for her to do...

As she pondered, a flash of white light swept overhead, and Wen Shu looked up to see a row of crystals embedded above the gate.

She was surprised and, when she looked toward the city again, her eyes widened slightly in awe.

On the broad main road of Yasen City, Beastmen of various tribes in their beast forms were heading towards a circular plaza with a Divine Tree statue, dispersing to different districts.

At a glance, Wen Shu had the illusion of stepping into an animal kingdom.

In her astonishment, a majestic lion walked past her, its deep voice full of enthusiasm, "Beautiful female, is this your first time in Yasen City? Do you need a guide?"

His gaze was intense, almost writing "mating" on his face.

Wen Shu was momentarily stunned, yet before she could respond, a flash passed, leaving that lion far behind.

As the Black Panther slowly came to a halt, a gentle teasing voice rung beside her, "Ashu is quite popular in the Beast City as well."

She turned her head to see Bai Rong sitting on the back of a Black Bear, smiling kindly at her, "Where do you plan to stay? If you can’t find a place, you’re welcome to stay at home."

Her proactive offer saved Wen Shu a lot of words.

"All right, thank you, Mother."

Wen Shu’s gaze swept over her brothers, giving a slight smile to Bai Yan, who was full of anticipation.

Then looking at Bai Qiao, who seemed displeased, she deliberately raised an eyebrow and said with a smile, "I’m looking forward to living with the family."

As her words fell, Bai Qiao glared at her angrily.

Wen Shu responded with a smile, continuing to appreciate the bustling surroundings, but she suddenly felt a burning gaze on her face.

Her spine tensed as she looked sharply in the direction of the gaze.

She just saw a familiar figure standing amidst the crowd, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Noticing her stiffness, Mious wrapped an arm around her shoulders, asking softly, "What’s wrong?"

Wen Shu steadied herself, thoughtfully retracting her gaze, "Nothing."

At a time like this, how could he possibly be in Yasen City? It must be her imagination...

Bai Rong’s small estate was located in the northern district, a residence specifically prepared for visiting nobles.

When they finally arrived, Wen Shu jumped down from the Black Panther’s back, barely stabilizing herself when she heard a wretched cry.

"Craig!"

She looked towards the estate and saw a tall male rushing towards them in a few steps, enveloping Bai Qiao in his arms completely.

With a solemn expression, he carefully examined Bai Qiao, wiping the tears from her eyes, "Why are you crying?"

When he asked, Bai Qiao choked back a sob and covertly glanced toward Bai Rong, seeing she wasn’t paying attention, she signaled the male to look outside the iron gate.

Craig followed her gaze, and upon seeing the tall figure clearly, he froze as if struck by lightning.

Why is she here?

Looking at the familiar face of the female, Craig’s heart skipped a beat. His heart, still not fully healed, throbbed in pain once more.

He panted for a few seconds, realizing his loss of composure, and angrily tightened his lips.

"Qiaoqiao, stay away from that female, she’s dangerous."

He warned Bai Qiao, his cold eyes fixed on the female’s face, yet unwilling to look away.

Noticing his gaze, Wen Shu’s face also turned cold.

Her indifferent gaze swept over Craig, noting his much rosier complexion, and provocatively curled her lips.

Quickly walking a few steps, she hooked her arm around Bai Rong’s.

As they passed the fragrant, lush garden and entered the beautiful castle, she affectionately asked, "Mother, which room are we staying in?"

Her sudden closeness surprised Bai Rong.

But after all, she was her own offspring. She patted the female’s hand and kindly said, "The rooms upstairs have just been cleaned. Go pick one."

Wen Shu thanked her with a smile, preparing to return to the room with the males, but noticed the male and female leads who had followed them in were still secretly eyeing her.

Bai Qiao’s eyes were red, while Craig was softly comforting her, his severe and icy gaze stabbing at Wen Shu like knives.

Wen Shu looked up at the males, "You all go back to your rooms first. Nan still needs to rest, and Bai Qiao is upset. I’ll go comfort her for a bit."

Thinking of what was to come, her feelings were complex as she pursed her lips tightly and added, "You’re not allowed to follow me."

Her attitude was firm, and the eager Wu Xuan could only droop his head and leave with Mious first.

Seeing them disappear at the top of the stairs, Wen Shu rubbed her stiff face, a smile playing at her lips, and then stood in front of Bai Qiao, beginning her performance.

"Sister, why are you crying?"

Blinking, she feigned surprise, "It can’t be because Mother let me choose a room first, right? Don’t be so petty, in the future..."

Halfway through her sentence, Bai Qiao could no longer hold back.

Her eyes flushed with anger, she grabbed Craig’s arm and gritted her teeth, "Wen Shu, don’t go too far!"

Her soft voice had changed tone due to her anger.

Yet Wen Shu remained unfazed, as if she hadn’t heard the warning, slowly adding, "That’s just the beginning, there will be many more incidents like this."

She stared into Bai Qiao’s eyes, enunciating each word, "I will take back everything that belongs to me."

When she finished, the corners of her eyes lifted slightly, her gaze shifting to Craig’s face, asking with concern, "By the way, Craig, has your chest wound healed?"

This soft question left both people stunned.

Bai Qiao’s bewildered gaze swept over Wen Shu, then turned to Craig, her voice trembling, "How does she know where you got injured?"

Craig’s heart trembled, suddenly being questioned like that left him a bit incoherent, "She..."

Seeing his distressed expression, Wen Shu pretended to be surprised and interrupted, "Craig, didn’t you tell Bai Qiao that you were injured saving me?"

As her words fell, the busy surroundings instantly quieted down.

Bai Qiao’s breath hitched, staring at Craig in disbelief, "You, you saved her?"

She breathed rapidly, her gaze shifting between Wen Shu and Craig, her pale face written full of anger at being deceived.

Yet Wen Shu didn’t find the situation bad enough, slowly approaching Craig, "Shall I help you with the healing?"

Craig wanted to avoid her in disgust, but when he saw her shy and timid eyebrows, his legs seemed welded to the spot, unable to move an inch.

"You can come to my room at night."

The female’s beautiful face drew closer, more and more ambiguous.

Watching her trembling long lashes, Craig’s heart pounded, his palm covered in hot sweat. Reason told him to stay away, yet he seemed bewitched, unable to move even his gaze.

"Craig,"

The warm breath brushed past his ear, his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly, looking at the female’s soft hair, a feeling of unspeakable anticipation rose in his heart.

However, what the female said next was like a bucket of ice water poured over his head, extinguishing his burning thoughts harshly.

"If you’re not afraid to die, then come."
