Chapter 22 I Will Make Myself Into the Version You Like

Liu Buli was very fast.

Before Lu Wuming could even finish thinking, he had returned with several more books.

As he pushed the door open and entered the room, Liu Buli's face was flushed, it was unclear whether it was from running on the way, or from the few pages he had previewed from the books.

Lu Wuming glanced at him, his gaze fixed on Liu Buli's face and he couldn't look away. Liu Buli looked up, their eyes met, and he instinctively flashed a bright smile, saying to Lu Wuming, "Have you been waiting long, Wuming? Master bought some new ones, see if any of these resonate with you."

As Liu Buli spoke, he dumped the books he was holding onto the table.

Lu Wuming picked up one and flipped through a couple of pages, his face turning red uncontrollably.

This book depicted two men, engaged in the same activities as in the previous book. However, the slender waist and flat chest of the person below were enough for him to fantasize and project himself into the scene.

The artist had not drawn faces; the features of both individuals were blank.

But this was good, it facilitated his imagination and made it easier for him to see the drawing as a reflection of his Master.

Lu Wuming swallowed.

The excitement in his heart was almost beyond control.

His fingers, gripping the pages, turned slightly pale. He was trying his best to suppress his feelings, but he couldn't hide them completely.

Seeing him like this, Liu Buli didn't need any further pointless questions to understand what it meant.

Sighing with a hint of helplessness, Liu Buli shook his head and murmured to himself, "I was hoping Wuming would like women, like ordinary people."

"Why would I like women?" Lu Wuming's gaze shifted from the book to Liu Buli's face. He asked curiously, "Didn't Master say that liking someone is a normal thing, and something you can't control? If that's the case, why must it be a balance of yin and yang?"

"That..." Liu Buli scratched his head and said, "Because most people like the opposite sex. If you don't join the majority, in their eyes, you'll become an anomaly. An anomaly means a monster. Master doesn't want anyone to think you're a monster, so I hope you'll be like most people. Once you blend in with the crowd, no one will say anything about you anymore."

Liu Buli spoke very earnestly.

Lu Wuming, however, felt incredibly at ease listening to him.

After waiting for a moment and confirming Liu Buli had finished speaking, he asked, "Master, is that all there is to it?"

Liu Buli gave a wry smile, "Isn't that enough?"

Lu Wuming shook his head.

He didn't care at all what others might think. Other people, in his eyes, were just insignificant ants. So why should he care what ants thought or how they saw him?

However, while he could disregard others, he couldn't disregard his Master.

So, after a moment of contemplation, Lu Wuming asked, "If I like men, would Master think I'm a monster?"

"Of course not," Liu Buli shook his head without hesitation and said, "I like men too, we are the same. I've never thought of myself as a monster, so how could I think of you as one?"

That was enough.

Lu Wuming's heart felt incredibly sweet. He pointed to the drawings in the book before him and asked Liu Buli, "Master, what kind of men do you like?"

Liu Buli immediately blushed.

He would never refuse any of Lu Wuming's questions, and this time was no different. However, being asked so directly was somewhat embarrassing.

He steadied himself and Liu Buli thought seriously.

He had discovered he liked boys since he started school, but none of the people around him were his type.

Then he started reading novels and eventually became infatuated with the characters in them.

Although he had no romantic experience, he felt his preferred type was likely accurate.

Licking his lips, Liu Buli shyly and directly told Lu Wuming, "I like men who are muscular, tall, and can pick me up entirely. Preferably possessive, who like to hold me, like to kiss, like to hold hands, and like to be inseparable from me all the time. Of course, they must be devoted, only liking me. If they could also be handsome and have a pleasant voice, that would be absolutely perfect."

Liu Buli was describing the image of Lu Wuming he had fantasized about and that was written in fanfiction.

After speaking, he realized that the person in question was right in front of him.

Not only that, but he bore no resemblance to his fantasy at all.

This was incredibly awkward.

Waving his hand, Liu Buli's face turned crimson. He laughed self-deprecatingly and said, "Never mind, just take it as a joke. There's no such person in the world, so even if I fantasize, I don't expect it to come true. Don't take it seriously."

Lu Wuming nodded.

His expression remained unchanged, as if he truly considered Liu Buli's words to be a not-so-amusing joke.

Seeing his reaction, Liu Buli felt even more awkward.

He opened his mouth, wanting to change the subject and say something, but Lu Wuming suddenly stood up, closed the book, and said to him, "Master, shall we go eat?"

Liu Buli was taken aback, "You're hungry already?"

Lu Wuming nodded.

Master liked tall and muscular men.

So, starting today, he would eat well and become the kind of person Master liked.

When that time came, would Master be willing to embrace him, hold his hand, and be with him all the time?

No.

Lu Wuming suddenly thought of something and turned back to ask Liu Buli, "Master, what did you mean by kissing just now?"
