It was much as Liu Buli had expected; the Sect Master of the Sword Sect was, as anticipated, an utterly selfish individual.
Without any need for threats, he had personally sent messages to all the elders and hall masters involved, ordering them to gather at the Sect Master's courtyard with all haste.
"Only these people are involved; the ordinary disciples know nothing," the Sect Master explained. "After all, this is a method to rapidly improve one's cultivation. We didn't want to tell others, only a few trusted confidantes, so we could privately enjoy it."
Liu Buli nodded. This was understandable.
The Sword Sect Master tugged at the corner of his mouth, unable to resist a desperate plea, "I... I've been beaten like this, can you spare my life?"
Liu Buli smiled and remained silent.
Lu Wuming glanced at him with an expressionless face and said, "After everyone you've summoned arrives, I'll consider your situation."
The Sect Master hurriedly nodded.
Lu Wuming narrowed his eyes and continued, "Everyone is within the sect, so they can come quickly?"
The Sect Master nodded again, "Yes, they..."
Before he could finish, the wooden door of the courtyard was knocked upon from the outside.
Clearly, these individuals' cultivation was not particularly high. They hadn't even detected Shen Muzhi's barrier, and each was happily chatting, fantasizing that the Sect Master might have found a new ghost clan, allowing their own cultivation to advance another level.
Liu Buli found it utterly disgusting.
He gestured to Shen Muzhi beside him. The latter, understanding, dispelled the barrier on the door.
The elders and hall masters filed in. The moment they entered, Shen Muzhi resealed the barrier behind them.
Upon seeing the situation in the courtyard, several of them were startled.
They had no intention of fighting and immediately turned to flee.
Unfortunately, the barrier sealed the door and their cries. Those outside had no idea what was happening inside. Unable to escape, they could only turn back to face Lu Wuming and the others.
The elder at the forefront, an old man, took a deep breath and said gravely, "Everyone, do not panic. The opponents are only four people! We have eight! Eight against four, our chances of victory are very high!"
"But, but look at the Sect Master..."
"Nonsense! Even the strongest fists can't fend off many hands. The Sect Master couldn't withstand a four-on-one! Since we can't get out now, we..."
"Hold on, you've got one thing wrong," Lu Wuming interrupted. A red glow appeared in his eyes, and he licked his lips. His anticipation grew more intense. He said, "Your opponent is only me. Eight against one, your chances of victory are extremely high."
As he spoke the last sentence, Lu Wuming couldn't help but laugh.
Liu Buli assessed the situation and instructed him, "Wuming, if you feel you can't handle them, just say the word, and your master will help. If you can, then have fun. We won't take your share."
Lu Wuming's eyes immediately curved into a smile, and he obediently replied, "Okay."
Then, Liu Buli directly led Shen Muzhi and You Siqi into a nearby room. As the door closed, the sounds of fighting and screams began to erupt from outside.
Shen Muzhi finally released the hand that had been covering You Siqi's eyes and sighed, shaking his head. "Siqi, you shouldn't have come up the mountain."
You Siqi nodded vigorously.
If he had known the situation on the mountain was like this, he would never have come!
Liu Buli stood by the door, listening to the sounds outside.
Confirming that none of the screams were coming from Lu Wuming, he turned to Shen Muzhi and asked, "Now that things have unfolded this way, do you have any other plans?"
Shen Muzhi shook his head and said, "There's no way to resolve this with words, so resolving it with force is only natural. I took a quick look just now, and almost all of the Sword Sect's high-ranking members are here. If I kill them, my wanted order will essentially become void."
Liu Buli smiled, "Then what about the Medicine Master Valley..."
"It's probably the same situation," Shen Muzhi replied. "However, this is my own business. I don't think killing these villains is wrong. So, next time, let me handle it; there's no need for Wuming."
Liu Buli smiled and said nothing.
From his perspective, he truly didn't want Lu Wuming to be the one to act. After all, those people were so vile, and it pained him to see their Wuming's hands stained with blood.
However, he also knew that Lu Wuming harbored too much madness and resentment within him. If he didn't find an outlet for it, he would surely feel stifled.
The three of them remained quietly in the room. Only when the sounds from outside completely ceased did Liu Buli push open the door and look out.
Amidst the blood, Lu Wuming stood alone.
Hearing the sound, he looked up in Liu Buli's direction.
The madness and fervor in his eyes made Liu Buli's heart tremble.
Neither of them spoke.
Lu Wuming lowered his head, wiped the blood splattered on his face, and then walked step by step towards Liu Buli. Before the latter could react, Lu Wuming leaned down and bit Liu Buli's lips.
He used a bit more force this time, and Liu Buli flinched in pain.
Lu Wuming, however, reached out and cupped his head, pulling him forcefully towards himself and deepening the passionate kiss.
When the kiss ended, Liu Buli could barely catch his breath.
Lu Wuming pulled him into his embrace, tightened his arms, and then slowly sighed, "Master, using this method still doesn't calm me down... Wuming is even more excited. What should I do?"
