Chapter 146 Did I Harm You?

Liu Buli himself didn't know if what he was seeing now was real or illusory. What he did know was that whether it was real or fake, this body was his, and he would never let anyone take it back.

Not even the original owner of this body.

Yet, as if by design, Liu Buli found that he couldn't use any of his cultivation techniques within this illusion.

He could only keep fleeing, while his opponent seemed to have some kind of cheat, with every attack landing precisely where it was intended.

Liu Buli exerted all his strength just to dodge the opponent's attacks. But he knew that even so, he couldn't show any hint of fear on his face.

That would only give the other party an advantage and put him in a more disadvantageous position.

After dodging the man's attack once more, Liu Buli curled the corner of his lips. A mocking smile appeared on his face, and he said, "Is this all you've got? You talk a good game, but with just this, you think you can take back the body? You're dreaming."

The man didn't show any displeasure at his taunt. Instead, he gently curved his lips and said, "Kid, you seem to have misunderstood something. Who told you that taking back a body requires taking your life?"

Liu Buli frowned slightly.

For a moment, he was truly led astray by the other party's words.

But as he was contemplating, the other party had already launched another attack. If Liu Buli hadn't dodged quickly, he might have been scattered into dust.

With a scoff, Liu Buli stopped thinking about the man's reply.

Or rather, he had no time to think about it, because any lapse in concentration would create an opportunity for the other party to kill him. By then, it would be too late to even dodge, and he would truly be beyond salvation.

However, even so, constantly evading was not a solution either.

After another incense stick's worth of time, Liu Buli clearly felt sweat drenching his entire body. If the opponent's offensive continued unabated, he might not be able to dodge for much longer.

He tried to summon his spiritual energy again, only to find that he still couldn't.

What should he do?

Liu Buli began to panic.

Although he still wore that nonchalant smile, in reality, he was already contemplating how he could preserve his soul and avoid a complete annihilation.

And at his most anxious moment, his palm suddenly felt a familiar warmth. Along with that warmth, a more familiar spiritual energy flowed from his palm into his body, then circulated through his limbs.

Liu Buli didn't have time to ponder what had happened. He simply moved his other hand and was pleasantly surprised to find that he could now channel spiritual energy. His smile didn't change, but he glared fiercely at the man and then, without hesitation, gathered all his power into his palm and struck out at the opponent!

The attack was too sudden, and the man had no time to dodge. His figure, like a wisp of cloud, dispersed and vanished into the surrounding haze.

As Liu Buli relaxed, he felt the strain from his previous attack. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, his body swayed, and he fell into a warm embrace.

Lu Wuming was startled. He held Liu Buli and asked in a low voice, "Master, did Wuming's attempt to transfer energy to you cause you to..."

"No," Liu Buli smiled and shook his head. He let out a long sigh and said, "If it weren't for you, I'm afraid the one standing here now wouldn't be me."
