Chapter 492 I Am Willing to Listen to You

"I am yours."

Lu Wuming said those words with such determination and sincerity.

Liu Buli didn't doubt his feelings at all. After all, having been touched by him like that, he saw no hint of dissatisfaction or displeasure in the other's eyes.

It was as if, just as he said, their interactions were meant to be this way.

The other person was already accustomed to his touch, which was why Lu Wuming could remain so calm when he was touched. In fact, Liu Buli couldn't tell if it was his imagination, but he felt that Lu Wuming seemed to be actively seeking his touch.

This was something that could bring joy to both of them.

The only thing that wasn't pleasant was that he still couldn't recall the other person's existence.

As this thought crossed his mind, his already somewhat cheerful mood plummeted again. Liu Buli coughed lightly and said, "Alright, hurry up and change your clothes. There's nothing to eat at home. Come with me to buy some ingredients, and we can start preparing lunch."

Since he had given Lu Wuming some of the easiest clothes to put on, the latter quickly dressed himself as Liu Buli had requested.

Liu Buli was already quite tall, but Lu Wuming was noticeably taller and more robust. The clothes he had taken out, which felt loose on him, seemed a bit tight and not quite fitting on Lu Wuming.

It seemed he would have to buy some new clothes for this big dog.

This thought flashed through Liu Buli's mind, only to be immediately dismissed by himself.

What was he thinking?

Was he seriously considering living with this man of unknown origin long-term?

He cursed his own foolishness once more in his heart, took a deep breath, and forced himself not to dwell on such thoughts. Then, he took Lu Wuming to the supermarket near their home.

One had to admit, Lu Wuming's personality was incredibly docile.

As they walked side-by-side, Liu Buli could sense Lu Wuming's wariness towards everything around him. Perhaps, as he had said, the world he came from was completely different from this one. Everything he saw now was unfamiliar, so unfamiliar that he should have felt fear.

Yet, despite this, he hadn't said a single word that made Liu Buli uncomfortable. He tried his best to hide his emotions, following Liu Buli like a little shadow, obediently staying by his side. He did whatever Liu Buli asked him to do, and when Liu Buli was silent, he simply followed along, quiet and well-behaved. Apart from his waist-length hair, there was nothing else that would draw attention.

This situation pleased Liu Buli greatly.

The shopping process was so normal it felt almost unbelievable, but that was a good thing. At least he didn't have to worry about anything extra.

Comforting himself with this thought, Liu Buli brought Lu Wuming back home and smiled at him, saying, "It seems your adaptability is quite strong. I thought bringing you out directly like this might cause a lot of trouble."

He was just joking.

But upon hearing Liu Buli's words, Lu Wuming earnestly shook his head. He took a deep breath and explained, "Master, you might not remember, but in our world, we always lived like this. Because I'm a bit slow, even if you taught me something, I wouldn't grasp it easily. So, most of the time, I would just quietly stay by your side. You would tell me when you needed me, and when you didn't, I would just follow."

Just as he said, he was Liu Buli's big dog. He would be as obedient and well-behaved as a large dog. All he needed was for his master not to abandon him and to allow him to stay by his side.

Listening to Lu Wuming's reply, Liu Buli didn't know why, but his nose suddenly felt a little sore.

As they reached the kitchen door, before Liu Buli could enter, Lu Wuming took the initiative to carry the ingredients inside.

Glancing back at Liu Buli, Lu Wuming smiled and said, "Master, I know what you like to eat, and your preferred flavors. So, Master, you just tell me how to use the tools here, and then wait. I promise lunch will satisfy you, I won't lie."

Lu Wuming said this, and then offered Liu Buli a particularly bright smile.

Perhaps it was because the smile was so radiant, or perhaps it was because the tone of his voice was so sincere. In any case, Liu Buli hesitated for just a moment before obediently handing over the kitchen to him. He briefly explained how to use the necessary tools. Then, to prevent any destructive actions from improper handling, Liu Buli hesitated for a moment before stopping at the kitchen doorway, leaning against the doorframe, and quietly observing Lu Wuming's actions.

Watching Lu Wuming chop vegetables, Liu Buli was convinced that what the other had said might not have been a lie.

The smoothness and perfection with which he chopped vegetables could only be attributed to experience accumulated over time and countless repetitions; he couldn't think of any other reason.

The rest of the cooking process went as smoothly as imagined. Lu Wuming indeed delivered on his promise. Whether it was the appearance, aroma, or the combination of ingredients, everything was to Liu Buli's liking, leaving him with no room for complaint.

Good food always lifts one's spirits, and this meal was indeed very satisfying. After eating their fill, Lu Wuming, under Liu Buli's instruction, also took the initiative to wash the dishes.

When he returned to the living room and sat down, Liu Buli looked at him and finally managed a faint smile. He then gestured towards Lu Wuming with his chin and said, "Alright, now that we've eaten and are full, and everything that needed to be arranged has been arranged. Let's talk again about what you said earlier. Tell me properly, in your stories, why am I here? And about the things I've forgotten, I'm in a good mood now, and I'm willing to listen."
