Chapter 47 Ambush

"We're trapped, there's no escape!" everyone cried in terror. This building was designed as a typical residential block, with no other exit except the central corridor. Now, the corridor was completely blocked by a monstrously large creature, leaving them with nowhere to run!

Old Liu's face was also tense, but he remained calmer than the others. He surveyed the surroundings and said, "First, hide in the rooms. This creature is huge, so it will be safer inside the rooms."

Upon hearing this, everyone rushed to open the doors around them. However, every door in this place was locked tight and required time to open. The person responsible for unlocking them was trembling so badly that he couldn't even hold his tools steady!

Old Liu's heart sank as he saw this. He turned to look at the giant monster charging at them, his mind made up.

"Hurry and open the doors and hide inside, I'll stall it!"

With that, he pulled out his copper coin sword from his embrace, bit his finger, and drew blood across the blade. He chanted an incantation, and only then did the sword emit a faint golden light. Old Liu was inwardly pleased; this secret technique, which failed him nine times out of ten, had actually succeeded on the first try!

"Monster, take this!"

The giant monster sensed something that made it feel nauseous. Its gaze immediately fell upon the copper coin sword in Old Liu's hand. It was this object that made it feel sick to its stomach. Instinctively, it directed its rage towards Old Liu and charged forward.

Old Liu had some martial arts background. Seeing the monster charge, he gripped the copper coin sword in his hand, leaped up, and used the wall to quickly change his position, closing in on the monster.

"Boom!" The giant monster missed its attack and slammed hard into the wall. Old Liu, using the wall for leverage, increased his jump height, soared onto the monster's face, and slashed with his sword.

A large amount of green liquid gushed out from the wound. The hard carapace was as fragile as tofu under the copper coin sword, easily sliced open!

"Roar~" The monster thrashed in pain. This single blow, like salt and chili water poured into a wound, was more painful than any attack it had ever endured!

Infinitely more painful than being poked in the backside by Number One!

"Damn you! I'll kill you!" The monster's face contorted as it opened its massive maw to swallow Old Liu. Old Liu, sensing danger, quickly leaped away, creating distance between himself and the monster.

The giant monster missed its bite and swiped at Old Liu with its colossal claws. Fortunately, Old Liu's skills were decent, and the monster's movements were rather clumsy. In a short period, the monster couldn't get a hold of him.

Seeing that Old Liu had successfully engaged the monster, his subordinates were overjoyed. The person unlocking doors stopped trembling, quickly opened a door with a few swift movements, and beckoned everyone to get inside.

"Quick, get in, quick!"

The group scrambled into a room and then retreated further into bedrooms and bathrooms.

"Sixth Master, the door is open, come in quickly!"

Old Liu glanced back at the open door, calculating the distance between himself and the giant monster. His heart sank. He couldn't retreat safely now; he could only fight and look for an opportunity to fall back, then find a chance to hide inside.

"You all get inside and hide well, I'll be right there!"

Old Liu replied to his subordinate and then focused on fending off the monster's attacks. This monster's attacks were truly terrifying; a moment's carelessness and he would become its appetizer.

Meanwhile, on another floor, Fang Ming sensed a powerful surge of malevolent energy on the sixth floor, its strength almost comparable to a semi-Sha. Facing such an opponent, Fang Ming hesitated for a long time, wondering if he should risk going to investigate.

"That guy is probably blocking those people now. It shouldn't be too much of a problem if I go and take a peek," Fang Ming mused, crouching in a corner.

The potent malevolent energy was too tempting. The thought of his tentacles undergoing a new qualitative change if he could defeat this semi-Sha made him unable to control his curiosity.

No sooner said than done, Fang Ming stealthily approached the giant monster and finally saw the monster's... backside?

"Is that this guy's butt?" Fang Ming was stunned, seeing a mass of flesh blocking the hallway. Judging by its shape and a certain opening, it was undoubtedly a posterior.

Just how large was this monster to occupy the entire hallway?

Fang Ming stared at the backside, and a bold idea suddenly struck him – if he attacked it now, could it turn around and attack him?

"Heh heh." Fang Ming grinned lewdly and extended his tentacles, quietly approaching the constantly swaying backside.

At that moment, the giant monster, which was swatting at Old Liu like a fly, suddenly felt a tightening in its rear and a premonition that something was about to happen.

"Splish." The entire tentacle pierced deep into the monster's backside.

The monster's rear muscles contracted violently, followed by a scream that echoed through the sixth floor.

"Roar—" Its backside was attacked again! And this time, with unprecedented depth!

"Good opportunity!" Old Liu's heart leaped as he saw the monster distracted. With a few leaps, he closed in on the monster and fiercely thrust his copper coin sword into it.

The giant monster's head was attacked again, and by the copper coin sword it detested the most! It thrashed violently left and right in pain. Old Liu used the momentum to retreat, rolling on the ground to dissipate the force, and then ran towards the room without looking back, not even bothering to retrieve the copper coin sword stuck in the monster's forehead.

Behind the monster, Fang Ming, seeing his attack take effect and the monster unable to retaliate, had a lewd grin stretching to his ears.

"In this terrain, this guy's rear is a complete blind spot," Fang Ming chuckled, suddenly retracting his tentacle. The scales on its tip opened, and he fiercely plunged it back into the wound, then proceeded to thrash about, tearing the flesh in the area into a bloody mess.

The monster roared in fury. It had never imagined that despite its immense power, it was now trapped by the surrounding terrain. Previously, it had used such terrain to protect its vulnerable areas, facing enemies only with its most powerful head. Now, it had been ambushed from behind!

Escape! As long as it could return to the main hall and turn around, the fellow behind it would surely die!

The giant monster, enduring the intense pain in its head and rear, frantically fled forward. The surrounding walls, battered by its strength, were covered in dust, yet they remained remarkably intact and did not collapse. It seemed these walls had undergone some reinforcement; otherwise, with its power, it could have demolished this eighteen-story building.

"Trying to escape?" Fang Ming sneered. It was too late now.

Fang Ming increased his strength, jumped onto the monster's backside, and began to cause utter devastation. Starting from the existing wound, he continuously tore at its body. Foul-smelling green blood continuously poured out, and the entire sixth floor began to fill with a putrid odor.

"Rumble..." The giant monster continued to flee. It had never felt this corridor so long, as if time had stood still. It had an illusion that no matter how hard it tried, it couldn't move.

Meanwhile, behind Fang Ming, an unknown Sha species watched Fang Ming's actions with bewilderment. Was this foreign Sha so ferocious? To dare chase and attack a King-level being like this! Usually, it wouldn't dare to attack a King-level being without good reason, or it would be useless even if the professors came.

The unknown Sha species muttered as it watched the scene unfold, "Why didn't I think of using the terrain to beat up a King-level being? Are outer Sha so smart? Are they even more rational than me?"

"But it's not too late now, heh heh." With that, it quietly followed the giant monster, approaching Fang Ming and finding a weak spot to stab into it. A blood hole the size of a fist immediately appeared, though it was insignificant compared to Fang Ming's damage.

Fang Ming sensed the unknown Sha species approaching and was thinking about how to attack it when he unexpectedly saw it stop nearby and also attack the monster. Its methods seemed like it had a grudge against the monster!

The giant monster also felt another presence attacking its rear. This familiar attack instantly made it realize who it was.

"Number One, you dare to take advantage and attack me too!" the giant monster roared. Weren't they on the same side?

The unknown Sha species chuckled, "Who's on your side? I'm the most dashing guy in this entire building, and if I can devour you and Li Gong, I might be able to escape this place."

Fang Ming watched from the side with an expression of a spectator. Good heavens, these Sha species were starting to have infighting? He hadn't expected this weak, invisible Sha species to have such lofty ambitions. Indeed, if it could evolve into a fierce Sha, it would be able to enter and exit various places freely without any restrictions.

"Aren't you afraid the Professor will kill you?" the giant monster roared.

The unknown Sha species casually waved its hand, "Why should I fear that old geezer? Although his strength is formidable, he doesn't descend here even once in eight hundred years. He's too engrossed in his research to have time to manage me or your lives. By the time he finds out, I'll be long gone."

"Damn it!" The giant monster roared in impotent rage. It no longer paid attention to the two "assailants" in its rear. All it wanted now was to return to the main hall, turn around, and kill the two beings on its backside!

Fang Ming's gaze was strange as he looked at this defiant Sha species. This guy absolutely couldn't be left alive, or he would surely become a great threat in the future. From the current perspective, this guy was clearly a villainous boss in the making, albeit a bit of an idiot.

"Hey, outsider, we are allies now. You can't make a move on me." the unknown Sha species said to Fang Ming.

"Who said we're allies?" Fang Ming scoffed. "Who would dare consider you an ally? Aren't you afraid of being stabbed in the back?"

"You know nothing," the unknown Sha species sneered. "I only attack weak-minded allies. This big guy, apart from its excess fat, is useless. How can it be my ally? At best, it's a large-sized cannon fodder."

The giant monster trembled as it heard the unknown Sha species' assessment of it. This guy, this guy was truly asking for death!

The main hall was finally close!

A minute later, the unknown Sha species suddenly leaped away, escaping along the ceiling. Before Fang Ming could react, he was brought into a large hall by the giant monster.

The hall was pitch black, devoid of even the faint glow of moonlight. As Fang Ming entered, he suddenly felt the space around him become vast, realizing that the giant monster had brought him to another location.

"Die!" the giant monster roared.

With ample space, it could maneuver to attack from head to tail. Fang Ming felt a dangerous aura and quickly leaped away, causing the giant monster to miss. However, this was completely the monster's home ground. A barrage of attacks rained down on Fang Ming, each capable of severely injuring or even killing him! Fang Ming was in danger!

"This treacherous fellow, calling itself an ally, didn't even tell me there was a main hall!" Fang Ming, while frantically evading, cursed the unknown Sha species.
