Chapter 41 Qin Gang Is Beaten

It was already past midnight, and the lively snack street had become quiet. Many vendors were packing up their belongings to go home.

After leaving the video arcade, Li Ya walked alone at the front, her steps quick.

“Sis, slow down!”

Qin Chuan called out from behind. He didn’t expect that him speaking would only make Li Ya walk faster, almost jogging.

This scene almost made Qin Chuan burst out laughing. He understood Li Ya’s feelings at the moment, wanting to dig a hole with her toes. She was incredibly embarrassed.

But who could she blame?

He had repeatedly asked to leave, but she insisted on continuing to watch the video.

Finally, he caught up with her as Li Ya was getting into the car.

“Oh, look at your blushing face. It’s just a darn adult film, what’s the big deal!”

“Besides, we’re both adults, it’s fine to watch one…”

Qin Chuan plopped into the car, his teasing undisguised.

“You’re still talking about it!”

Li Ya glared at him, her pretty face flushed red in the dim light, a mixture of shame and anger.

The scene in the video arcade was the most embarrassing moment of her life, leaving her with nowhere to hide.

“Qin Chuan, honestly tell me, did you know what was in that… film beforehand?”

Qin Chuan nodded truthfully, “Yes, I asked you to leave, but you refused. I thought you liked that kind of film?!”

“Bastard!”

“You like it! Your whole family likes it!”

Li Ya was completely enraged, her beautiful eyes seeming to water from shame.

Growing up, she had only heard rumors about such films, or read some explicit descriptions in idle books. She had never actually watched one.

She never expected to make such a fool of herself, especially in such a public place.

“Get out, I’m not taking you anymore!”

“No, Sis!”

“You can’t just eat your fill and leave, I… Huh?”

As Qin Chuan was chatting and laughing with Li Ya, a dark shadow suddenly darted past the car window. He thought the figure looked familiar, very much like his second brother, Qin Gang.

“Sis, do you think that’s my second brother?”

“Your second brother, where?”

Li Ya’s attention was diverted, and she looked in the direction Qin Chuan pointed, murmuring, “It really looks like him. But why is your second brother running around so late…”

Just as Qin Chuan was about to shake his head, he suddenly heard the sound of hurried footsteps coming from behind the car. He immediately turned around and saw five or six people chasing from behind, some of them carrying clubs.

Within seconds, the group also passed the parked car and chased in the direction Qin Gang had run.

“It looks like your second brother is being chased?”

Li Ya exclaimed.

Qin Chuan’s face had already turned grim. He said decisively, “Sis, let me drive!”

Li Ya knew the situation was serious and didn’t delay. They quickly switched seats.

Soon, the Santana let out a low roar, like a beast released from its cage, and sped off.

On a deserted street in the old city, Qin Gang was sprinting for his life, pursued by a group of people.

“Qin Gang, you can’t escape!”

“Tonight, if I don’t break your legs, I’m not a man!”

Among the pursuers, a fierce-looking youth with a scar on his face roared.

“Li Houping, you son of a bitch, have the guts to fight me one-on-one! What kind of man ambushes me with a group!”

Qin Gang cursed as he ran. Despite being alone, he refused to be intimidated.

Just then, someone in the chasing group spotted a bicycle parked by the roadside, which wasn’t locked.

“Brother Hou, this bicycle isn’t locked, let’s ride it to chase that bastard!”

Li Houping’s eyes lit up, and he quickly ran towards the bicycle. A few seconds later, Li Houping was on the back seat of the bicycle, rapidly closing in on Qin Gang ahead.

Soon, Qin Gang was caught up. Li Houping jumped off the bicycle, pulled out a wrench he had tucked into his waist, and with a ferocious expression, swung it down hard towards Qin Gang’s head.

The movement was fluid, and the attack was ruthless and merciless, indicating he was someone accustomed to brawls.

Qin Gang, in his panic, couldn’t dodge. He instinctively raised his arms to block, otherwise, the iron wrench would have split his head open.

*Bang!!*

The wrench landed on his arm with a dull thud.

Accompanying the sound was Qin Gang’s cry of pain. His facial muscles twitched. He felt like his left arm was no longer his own, and his bone seemed to be broken.

Taking advantage of this moment, the others caught up, surrounding Qin Gang in an instant.

“Run! You little brat, keep running!”

“Weren’t you proud of your long legs and fast running? Not so smug now!”

“Beat him!”

“Beat him to death!”

The group surrounded Qin Gang, preparing to unleash a flurry of punches and kicks.

But at that moment, a blinding light appeared from around the corner, accompanied by the roar of an engine. A Santana sedan was speeding directly towards them, at an extremely fast pace.

“Holy crap!”

The sudden turn of events startled everyone who was about to attack Qin Gang, causing them to scatter and curse.

*Screech!!*

The Santana stopped less than half a meter from Qin Gang, who had collapsed on the ground. The car door was quickly pushed open, and a young man stepped out.

On the road, Qin Gang, who had been covering his head and bracing for the beating, quietly lifted his head. When he clearly saw who it was, his eyes widened, and he gasped, “Third Brother!!!”

Under their watchful eyes, Qin Chuan, without a word, helped Qin Gang up from the ground.

However, as soon as his hand touched Qin Gang’s arm, Qin Gang gasped in pain.

Qin Chuan’s gaze grew even colder!

“Oh my, who do we have here? It’s Qin Chuan!”

At that moment, a discordant voice sounded. Li Houping emerged from the crowd, looking Qin Chuan up and down, as well as the Santana.

“It’s been a while, Qin Chuan. You’re doing well, driving a Santana!”

His words dripped with jealousy and envy.

Qin Chuan’s gaze was fixed on the scarred young man in front of him, and he finally asked hesitantly, “You are… Li Houping?”

It wasn’t that Qin Chuan didn’t recognize him, but the person before him was too far removed from his memory, and he hadn’t seen him since his rebirth.

Li Houping was from Nanyang Village, the same village as Qin Chuan and Qin Gang.

What was even more interesting was that Li Houping’s father was none other than Li Yuan San.

Qin Chuan recalled everything he knew about Li Houping and found his memories to be very sparse. He only remembered that the guy was involved in gang activities and lacked any honest skills.

“Motherfucker, Qin Chuan! What the hell do you mean by that?”

“Got a bit of money and you don’t even recognize me anymore?”

While Qin Chuan was hesitating, Li Houping was provoked and started cursing, feeling his pride wounded.

Who didn’t know the great name of Li Houping, especially in the village? What did this youngest son of the Qin family mean?
