The banquet concluded well past midnight.
A group of drunken individuals stumbled out of the entrance of the Yan Yang Tian Song and Dance Hall, their faces flushed, clearly having overindulged.
“Brother Zhang! Safe travels!”
“Goodbye, Boss Ge!”
“Oh no, Chief Editor Qi, why are you sitting on the ground, haha!”
Qin Chuan, also quite intoxicated, was being supported by Qin Yang. He burst into laughter upon seeing the others in such a disheveled state.
Once everyone had departed, Qin Chuan finally rushed to the roadside and vomited violently, his stomach churning with acid, tears and snot streaming down his face.
“I told you to drink less, but you never listen. Look at you now!”
Seeing his younger brother in such a state, Qin Yang walked over with concern, patting his back to make him more comfortable.
As for their second brother, he was also thoroughly drunk, standing to the side with a foolish grin.
Among the three brothers, Qin Yang had the highest tolerance for alcohol, while Qin Chuan and the second brother were fairly evenly matched.
“Brother, I had no choice. Those guys were heavy drinkers, each one more so than the last. If I hadn’t drunk with them tonight, future business might have been difficult!”
After expelling the contents of his stomach, Qin Chuan regained a sliver of clarity. He wiped his tears with his sleeve and said helplessly,
“But, I believe, after tonight, our business will be much smoother!”
Qin Yang listened, shaking his head. He didn’t understand business, but if every deal required such an ordeal, it was truly worrying!
He would earn money, but his health would deteriorate…
The night passed silently. By noon the next day, Qin Chuan woke up in the hotel.
The hangover lingered, his head throbbing as if being pricked by needles. Qin Chuan splashed cold water on his face, which provided some relief.
Qin Yang and Qin Gang had left at some point, leaving him alone in the hotel room.
Qin Chuan walked out of the hotel and found a small eatery. He ordered a bowl of noodle soup. While waiting, he overheard some customers in the restaurant discussing a newspaper.
He casually joined them and was immediately amused. They were discussing the peculiar advertisement on the front page of the Yongnan Headline.
In bold red letters, it clearly stated that there were only 13 days left until the grand opening!!!
“What kind of shop do you think this is, to advertise like this?”
“I’m curious too. Judging by this, it seems the advertisement will continue for the next 13 days!”
“It’s in the newspapers and on television, they’re clearly not small players!”
Several men and women chattered excitedly.
“Excuse me, sirs and madams!”
Qin Chuan couldn't resist but join in, pointing at the newspaper content: “If this shop does open, will you all go?”
“Of course, we will!”
A woman in her thirties responded without a moment’s hesitation.
“In our small county of Yongnan, not much happens throughout the year. How could we miss such an exciting event?”
“Right, we absolutely have to go!”
“No matter what this shop sells, buying is a separate matter, but we must go to join the fun!”
Another woman replied.
Qin Chuan was pleased with these answers. Clearly, his desired effect had been achieved, piquing everyone’s curiosity.
On the final day, he would unleash the ultimate move, which would surely draw the entire county’s population out onto the streets.
After finishing a large bowl of hot noodle soup, feeling thoroughly refreshed, Qin Chuan left the eatery and drove to the flagship store.
In a few days, the electrical wiring on both floors of the entire shop had been completed, and the walls were all painted white, making it look much brighter.
The ceiling work was currently underway, and the workers were busy. Qin Chuan’s arrival was met with warm greetings from all the workers.
“Third brother, how are you feeling? Better?”
Seeing Qin Chuan, Qin Yang asked with concern, truly embodying the role of an elder brother, his care ingrained.
“Don’t worry, big brother. I slept well and then had a bowl of noodle soup. I’m completely fine now!”
Qin Chuan replied with a smile. “Where is second brother? Is he on the second floor?”
“Where else would I be if not on the second floor!”
Speak of the devil, Qin Gang descended the stairs from the second floor.
The three brothers gathered, and after a brief discussion about work matters, Qin Chuan brought up the main topic.
“Big brother, second brother, it’s like this. We’ve almost finalized our material suppliers in the county. Wood, red bricks, and sand are all sorted out. We only need other building materials!”
“I’ve inquired, and the nearest cement factory is in the neighboring county. There’s also a pipe factory there. You two should head to the neighboring county tomorrow and be responsible for negotiating those two items!”
As Qin Chuan spoke, Qin Yang’s nervousness became apparent, and even Qin Gang showed hesitation.
Neither of them had ever handled such large business deals before, and being assigned such crucial tasks suddenly made them feel the pressure.
“Little Chuan, this… this doesn’t seem right. Neither second brother nor I have any experience. What if we mess it up?”
Qin Yang asked nervously.
“Big brother, it’s alright. Big businesses and small businesses are all the same, it all comes down to the price. As long as the price is right, it doesn’t matter who negotiates!”
Qin Chuan comforted him.
“Then what about you, third brother?”
Qin Gang suddenly asked.
“Me? I’ll probably have to make another trip to Jin Province. Since there are no steel mills in the nearby counties, the rebar, wire, and electrical materials we need for construction must all be secured this time!”
Qin Chuan explained.
“Alright then, we’ll handle the cement and pipe factories. You focus on your trip to Jin Province!”
Second Brother Qin decisively agreed.
Having followed his younger brother for some time, Qin Gang felt he had progressed rapidly and learned a great deal. Although he was nervous, he saw it as a valuable opportunity for growth that he couldn't miss.
“Excellent, that’s the confidence I want to see!”
Qin Chuan was very pleased. In the future, as his business expanded, he would need his elder brother and second brother to be his most reliable right-hand men, so honing their skills needed to start now.
“Later, I’ll go to the bank and transfer fifty thousand yuan into each of your cards. I’ll also help you find a professional lawyer to accompany you, to prevent any manufacturers from playing tricks in the contracts!”
The next morning, early.
The three brothers set off separately. Qin Chuan headed for Jin Province, while Qin Yang and Qin Gang went to the neighboring county.
By noon, Qin Chuan had once again set foot on the soil of Jin Province.
However, unlike his previous aimless journey, his first stop was naturally Chen Jinyu’s shop in the decoration market.
Upon receiving Qin Chuan’s call, Chen Jinyu rushed back. They were both very happy to see each other and playfully punched each other in the chest.
