Lu Tianxing arrived at the Xinglin Caotang with the blueprints. Long Xiao was teaching Xiao Ming and Luo Tianshui 'Tyrannosaurus Fist'.
Xiao Ming was a very fast learner, picking up the moves almost instantly and practicing with vigor, looking quite skillful. Luo Tianshui, however, felt something was missing no matter how he practiced.
"Brother Long, why am I not learning as fast as Xiao Ming?" Luo Tianshui asked, puzzled.
Xiao Ming grinned and said, "Brother Luo, don't be jealous. I'm a genius among geniuses."
Luo Tianshui looked at Xiao Ming with a dejected expression, finding it hard to believe this guy, who looked like a con artist, was a genius.
As Luo Tianshui was teasing Xiao Ming, Lu Tianxing walked over.
"Director Lu, please be our judge. I say I'm a genius among geniuses, but Brother Luo just won't believe me."
Lu Tianxing glanced at Xiao Ming and said, "I don't believe you either."
"Then why can I learn 'Tyrannosaurus Fist' instantly, but Brother Luo still hasn't mastered it?" Xiao Ming asked.
Luo Tianshui looked at Lu Tianxing, dejected, and said, "Director Lu, Xiao Ming is telling the truth."
Lu Tianxing burst into laughter and said, "It seems our Xiao Ming is truly a genius."
After a bit of lighthearted banter, Lu Tianxing finally said, "Long Xiao, I've got the blueprints. Do you have a projector? We need to study them carefully."
Long Xiao asked Xiao Ming to find a projector, while he, Luo Tianshui, and Lu Tianxing went to the dining room.
Soon, Xiao Ming returned with a projector. He drew the curtains and projected the images directly onto the white wall.
One blueprint after another appeared, some were floor plans, others were 3D renderings.
They located the 'Jun Dao Lou' (Sabre Building) and spread out from there, examining each building one by one. After an entire afternoon of study, they couldn't find any building related to the 'Jun Dao Lou'.
The buildings were arranged in a Bagua formation. If they could find just one, the others would be easy to locate.
After dinner, the four of them pondered for a while longer but came up with nothing. Lu Tianxing left the blueprints with Long Xiao and departed alone.
After studying the blueprints for a while longer, Xiao Ming became impatient and said, "Grandpa Lin understands feng shui, doesn't he? Let's take it home and have him take a look."
Long Xiao thought Xiao Ming's suggestion made sense and said, "Pack up, let's go home."
Luo Tianshui returned to his room to rest. Long Xiao and Xiao Ming, carrying the projector, went back to Mangshan No. 1.
As they entered the living room, they saw Lin Xuan and Lin Wei talking.
Seeing Long Xiao return, Lin Xuan said, "Long Xiao, I was just about to look for you."
"What's up?" Long Xiao asked, sitting down beside Lin Xuan.
Lin Xuan nodded and said, "The electric cars we produced have been launched and are doing extremely well. All ten thousand units sold out in a week."
"Sold so many at once?" Long Xiao asked, surprised.
Lin Xuan nodded. "That's with our production capacity. If we could produce more, we'd sell even more."
"Can we expand our production scale?" Long Xiao asked.
"That's why I was looking for you. Building a new factory is too slow. I want to buy an existing production line."
"Which one are you interested in? I'll help you figure it out."
Lin Xuan told Long Xiao that there was an electric car factory in the west city that was not doing well and was on the verge of bankruptcy. She wanted Long Xiao to go with her to see if they could buy it.
Long Xiao agreed to visit the electric car factory with Lin Xuan the next day. After Lin Xuan returned to her room, Long Xiao took out the blueprints and sought advice from Lin Wei.
When the projector displayed the 'Jun Dao Lou', Lin Wei was surprised. He hadn't expected Long Xiao to be studying the 'Jun Dao Lou' as well.
"Long Xiao, you've also realized this is a feng shui formation?" Lin Wei asked.
Long Xiao nodded. "This is an Yin-Yang Bagua feng shui formation. There should be sixteen buildings surrounding the 'Jun Dao Lou', in a complementary Yin-Yang relationship."
"Sixteen buildings, an Yin-Yang Bagua feng shui formation. Aren't there only buildings in the eight directions?" Lin Wei asked.
Long Xiao shook his head. "On the surface, there's only one building in each of the eight directions. However, beneath each of these buildings, there must be a corresponding underground structure. Otherwise, it couldn't absorb terrestrial energy so quickly."
Long Xiao explained the principles of feng shui layout to Lin Wei for a while. The more Lin Wei listened, the more shocked he became. He knew a lot about feng shui arrangements and had met many feng shui masters, but none of them understood the principles of energy flow, only how to arrange things.
After listening to Long Xiao's explanation, Lin Wei nodded and said, "It seems we've been mistaken."
"Grandpa, mistaken about what?" Long Xiao asked.
Lin Wei smiled and shook his head. "Nothing. I always thought the Eight Trigrams formation near the 'Jun Dao Lou' consisted only of the surface buildings."
Following Long Xiao's principle, they searched for the surrounding eight buildings but couldn't find them. Lin Wei reminded him, "Long Xiao, try considering this 'Haolilai Restaurant' as the 'Dui' trigram."
Looking at the restaurant Lin Wei pointed to, Long Xiao was taken aback. Then, his gaze followed the buildings around the restaurant, and he soon discovered several buildings that fit the description.
"Why didn't I think of starting with this restaurant? That's right, this should be the 'Dui' trigram," Long Xiao nodded happily.
Long Xiao didn't think much of it. Lin Wei watched Long Xiao ponder for a few seconds and then said, "Long Xiao, searching from this point, three buildings haven't been built yet."
Long Xiao switched to another diagram. "Grandpa, look at this. These three locations should have three buildings."
Having identified the locations, Long Xiao opened the blueprints and quickly found the plans for three buildings in the designated spots.
A swimming pool was planned for the Kan position, and a botanical garden for the Zhen position.
"Long Xiao, what building is in the Xun position?" Lin Wei asked, pointing to an empty plot of land in the southeast corner.
Long Xiao looked and shook his head. "I can't tell. The building in this location should be under construction right now. I'll go take a look when I have time."
"I'll go with you too. I've been there before and I'm familiar with the way."
After leaving Lin Wei's room, Long Xiao felt that Lin Wei was a bit strange, as if he was very familiar with the situation around the 'Jun Dao Lou'.
In Long Xiao's eyes, Lin Wei was a respectable elder. Although he felt something was off, he didn't dwell on it.
Early the next morning, Lin Xuan knocked on Long Xiao's door, ready to head to the electric car factory immediately.
"Wifey, hug." Long Xiao, with toothpaste foam still around his mouth after brushing his teeth, opened his arms and said.
Lin Xuan glanced at Long Xiao and said, "You're so indecent."
Long Xiao wiped his mouth. "What's wrong with me hugging my own wife? It's not a crime."
Lin Xuan looked at Long Xiao without a word. Long Xiao seized the opportunity and hugged her.
As she melted into his embrace, Long Xiao felt a wave of peace. He had been dealing with too much lately and felt a sense of exhaustion.
The electric car factory was located in an urban village in the west city. It wasn't very large, and the factory grounds were dilapidated, with only the newly built factory buildings appearing clean and tidy.
The two of them prepared to enter the factory building, but were stopped at the entrance by a security guard.
"Who are you? Unauthorized personnel are not allowed in," the guard said.
Lin Xuan smiled and stepped forward. "Hello, I'm Lin Xuan, the president of Xuan Xiao Group."
Xuan Xiao Company had been heavily publicized recently, and even the grandmothers in the small alleys of Donghai knew about it.
"Xuan Xiao Group, a big company. However, we have regulations. Outsiders must be accompanied by a factory employee to enter our facility," the guard said.
Long Xiao stepped forward and said, "You're an employee of this factory, right?"
The guard nodded. Long Xiao continued, "Five hundred. Accompany us on a tour."
The guard's daily wage was just over a hundred. Long Xiao's offer of five hundred immediately made the guard nod in agreement.
