Chapter 381 Successfully Robbed

Lin Xuan eagerly questioned the old shaman, who claimed to have met her mother, pressing for details about the circumstances and the location of the islanders' laboratory.

The old shaman, though unaware of the exact location of the islanders' laboratory, did know which islanders were involved in organ splicing experiments.

"What is organ splicing?" Lin Xuan asked curiously.

"It's using organs to create monsters," the old shaman replied. "I've seen monkeys spliced by the islanders. They were incredibly fast and possessed human-like intelligence, but their lifespans were short."

"Are you saying they splice human organs onto animals?"

The old shaman nodded. "Yes, some are human-animal hybrids, while others are a combination of various human organs, forming a monster."

The more Lin Xuan heard from the old shaman, the colder her spine felt. If her mother's organs had been harvested for splicing, it was as good as her being dead.

Long Xiao stepped forward and asked, "Which direction did those islanders come from?"

The old shaman pointed west. "There's a small path to the west of our tribe. They came from that path."

Kre, being more familiar with the Witch Forest, might know the location of the islanders' laboratory.

When Long Xiao found Kre, Kre was already waiting for him.

"Why didn't you escape?" Long Xiao asked, surprised.

Kre smiled, looking somewhat sheepish. "You are too powerful. I didn't dare to run."

Long Xiao laughed heartily. "You're honest, well done. We need to go to the islanders' laboratory. If you can lead us there quickly, I'll give you a million."

A million yuan was not a large sum for Long Xiao, but for Kre, it was an astronomical figure.

"I'll just guide you, and you'll really give me a million?" Kre sounded disbelieving.

Long Xiao nodded. "Of course. Is a million a lot?"

Kre nodded too. "It is indeed. I can hardly believe you have a million."

Long Xiao patted Kre's shoulder. "Let's go. You'll believe it when you see the money."

For ease of movement, Long Xiao didn't immediately take the recently rescued Chinese people with him. He found the tribal leader and had Kre explain that they had to take good care of these people.

If any of them were injured again, Long Xiao threatened to burn down the entire tribe.

The tribal leader seemed skeptical. Long Xiao glanced back; Lin Xuan and the others were over a hundred meters away. He then reached up and patted his shoulder, saying, "Little one, come out and fly around."

"Crimson Fireworm" poked its head out from Long Xiao's collar and rubbed affectionately against his neck before fully emerging and perching on his shoulder.

Lately, the Crimson Fireworm had not been sleeping. It remained still and quiet each day, as if practicing some kind of cultivation technique.

The Crimson Fireworm hopped a few times on Long Xiao's shoulder, then flapped its wings and took flight.

On Long Xiao's shoulder, the Crimson Fireworm appeared as just a winged, strange insect, with nothing particularly remarkable about it. But as soon as it left Long Xiao's shoulder, the tribal leader and Kre felt a wave of heat wash over them.

With every flap of the Crimson Fireworm's wings, a wave of heat spread outwards, setting the grass on fire.

The Crimson Fireworm flew towards a thatched house, and a streak of fire appeared on the ground, quickly igniting the house.

As the fire raged, people from the tribe rushed to put it out. Long Xiao waved, and the Crimson Fireworm returned, landing on his shoulder.

As soon as the Crimson Fireworm neared Long Xiao, all the heat vanished, and it reverted to being an ordinary winged insect.

Witnessing the Crimson Fireworm start the fire, the tribal leader and Kre were stunned into silence. This was beyond their comprehension; no shamanic art could produce such a creature.

"Are you a god or a human?" the tribal leader stammered.

Long Xiao smiled. "Of course I'm human. I am Master Long."

The tribal leader respectfully addressed him as Master Long and assured him that he could safely leave the Chinese people, promising to take good care of them.

When interacting with strangers, intimidation was the simplest method of communication. Only when the other party was completely terrified would they obey without question.

After arranging a place for the Chinese people, Long Xiao met up with Kre, Lin Xuan, and the others, and they all left the Divine Witch Tribe in their vehicles.

Although Kre didn't know the exact location of the islanders' research facility, he knew the general direction. By following the road that led that way, they would eventually arrive.

The three cars moved slowly through the dense forest. It was close to dusk when they faintly saw a few white buildings ahead.

"There's a laboratory up ahead. I'm not sure if it belongs to the islanders," Kre said, pointing to the white buildings.

The three cars drove forward a few more dozen meters. Long Xiao noticed three off-road vehicles in the laboratory's yard and said, "Let's drive closer and check out the situation directly."

The white building was a three-story structure. Next to it was a generator room, and beside that were over a dozen solar panels.

Long Xiao's car stopped in front of the building, and immediately four armed guards emerged from inside.

These four guards were tall white men, armed with assault rifles, wearing camouflage uniforms, and sporting Chinese-made puncture-proof combat boots.

Seeing a few Chinese people emerge from the car, one of the guards, speaking in broken Chinese, asked, "Who are you? Outsiders are not allowed here. Did you take a wrong turn?"

A white man's laboratory was certainly not an islander's laboratory, but Long Xiao had his eye on the three off-road vehicles parked in front.

"What is your laboratory for?" Long Xiao inquired.

"Who are you? This is an American laboratory. It's not under your jurisdiction, is it?" one of the guards retorted unhappily.

Xiao Ming, brandishing a cleaver, ambled over and declared, "Robbery."

Seeing Xiao Ming with a cleaver shouting "Robbery," the four men seemed to understand something and hastily raised their guns, preparing to fire.

Before they could even disengage the safety on their assault rifles, Xiao Ming's cleaver struck their hands. Screams erupted, and four assault rifles clattered to the ground.

The four guards turned and fled, with Xiao Ming and Luo Tianshui in pursuit, charging into the laboratory.

It didn't take long before the dozen or so armed guards inside the laboratory were incapacitated by the two.

Long Xiao, along with Lin Xuan and Night Owl, stormed into the laboratory and found some documents, learning that it was a biological laboratory specializing in the research of biochemical weapons.

Long Xiao worried that destroying the laboratory might release something terrifying. Therefore, after reading the documents, he called for everyone to quickly leave the facility.

Having successfully "acquired" three off-road vehicles, Long Xiao's convoy became even longer.
