The bizarre murder method shocked everyone present. This bar was the territory of the Da Long Gang, frequented by youngsters with little to no strength.
"Hurry and call Brother Kui, we're no match for this kid," someone whispered.
Xiao Ming was happy for them to go call for help. As the person left, he pretended not to notice.
The deafening music continued to blare, and everyone stood frozen, not daring to move. Even Zhou Xia stared blankly at the corpse on the ground, unsure why this had happened.
Zhou Xia wasn't unfamiliar with masters, nor with young masters, but she had never encountered one as young and powerful as Xiao Ming.
Soon, ten minutes passed. The deafening music suddenly stopped, and the entire bar fell into complete silence.
A steady, unhurried sound of footsteps broke the brief stillness.
Everyone looked towards the sound. A man, two meters tall, wearing a trench coat and combat boots, descended the stairs.
The muscles on the man's arms bulged like knotted roots, threatening to tear through his clothes.
Following behind the man were a woman and an old man.
The woman wore a camouflage uniform and combat boots, a military saber at her waist. Her sharp, angular face seemed chiseled by a knife, and her deep-set eyes were as profound as a pool of autumn water.
The old man was clad in a simple cloth jacket and cloth-soled shoes. His wispy goatee hung beneath his chin, and his ruddy face looked as if it had been smeared with red mud.
"Who dares to cause trouble on my Da Long Gang's turf? Are you tired of living?" As he descended the stairs, the woman, her hand on her saber, stepped forward and looked at Xiao Ming, Zhou Xia, and Ye Mei.
Zhou Xia whispered, "The one in the middle is Da Tou Kui. This woman is Hong Xue, and the old man is Kuang Tu."
Xiao Ming looked at Hong Xue dismissively and said, "You're called Hong Xue, right? I haven't seen your blood yet, I wonder if it's red."
Hong Xue drew her saber, flicked her wrist, and a flash of light lunged towards Xiao Ming.
Xiao Ming sidestepped, evading Hong Xue's strike. He smiled at her and said, "One million, and I'll let you live."
"Are you out of your mind, thinking of robbing us? Does the police station not pay you?" Hong Xue lunged again, saying.
Xiao Ming dodged once more and replied, "I'm giving you a chance. If you don't want it, fine. I'm not a kind person; I don't give away chances to live casually."
In reality, Xiao Ming had no intention of letting Hong Xue go. His words were for others to hear. He had recently bought a car, and his expenses were high, so he wanted to seize this opportunity to make some money.
When Hong Xue lunged for the third time, Xiao Ming didn't dodge. The cleaver in his hand swung horizontally.
After the strike, Xiao Ming grabbed Zhou Xia and quickly retreated.
Zhou Xia, still confused about what was happening, saw Hong Xue drop her saber and desperately cover her stomach with both hands.
Blood seeped through Hong Xue's fingers. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop the contents of her belly from flowing out along the sides of her hands.
The strength of Hong Xue was known to all the Da Long Gang members present. A dozen burly men couldn't get close to her. She was at the early stage of the Xuan Realm, and in front of her, they would be defeated in a few rounds.
Da Tou Kui's face showed panic. He hadn't expected this kid's strength to far surpass the three of them. Even if the three of them fought together, they wouldn't be his match.
Hong Xue collapsed to the ground, her eyes wide as she looked at Xiao Ming, filled with unwillingness. She had survived countless bullets and storms on the battlefield and had wreaked havoc in Gangcheng, with police officers avoiding her and not daring to arrest her.
Yet, here she was, cut by a teenager, and she hadn't even seen how he had wielded his blade.
"Hey, Da Tou Kui, are you just going to watch your subordinate die without intervening?" Xiao Ming asked.
Da Tou Kui glared at Xiao Ming fiercely and said, "You cut her and then stand there talking sarcastically."
"I'm not talking sarcastically. I'm doing it for her own good. For one million, I can arrange for her to be sent to the hospital."
Hearing Xiao Ming's words, Hong Xue, lying on the ground, cried out, "Big brother, save me."
Da Tou Kui nodded helplessly and said, "Alright, I promise. The three of us will each pay one million, and you let us go."
Xiao Ming shook his head and said, "I'm a police officer now, and I won't let anyone go. Your two subordinates are one million each, and you'll pay ten million. This money is for your lives, to ensure you can walk into court alive."
"You mean I pay ten million, and the police will still arrest me?"
Xiao Ming nodded and said, "Yes, you pay ten million, and the others pay one million. If you want to save your lives, pay up quickly. There's no more room later."
"You think we're idiots? I'll kill you!" Da Tou Kui threw off his trench coat and punched towards Xiao Ming's head.
Xiao Ming quickly dodged Da Tou Kui's fist and said, "Ten million, not a penny less, or I'll start killing immediately."
Da Tou Kui's punches were fast and fierce, the whistling wind from his fists ruffling Xiao Ming's hair.
As Xiao Ming dodged, he shouted, "Ten million, although it's not a lot, it's still money! It's better than one million, right?"
After dodging more than ten punches, Xiao Ming grew annoyed and yelled, "Don't push your luck. If you don't pay, I'll act."
"Dream on! I'll smash you to death with one punch!" Da Tou Kui said, throwing another punch.
Xiao Ming dodged again and swung his cleaver towards Da Tou Kui's right hand.
Da Tou Kui flinched in fear, and the cleaver in Xiao Ming's hand grazed his fist. Da Tou Kui clearly felt the coldness of the profound iron cleaver.
Xiao Ming had only used thirty percent of his strength. He still wanted to negotiate; ten million was quite tempting to him.
Da Tou Kui retreated a couple of steps and said, "Let's go at him together. Kill him."
Everyone present drew their weapons, preparing to attack.
Ye Mei pulled Zhou Xia back. She had no intention of making a move yet, preferring to watch from the sidelines.
Seeing that so many people were unwilling to pay, Xiao Ming chose to act. Although disappointed, he still swung his cleaver and charged forward.
The profound iron cleaver sliced through flesh and blood like cutting vegetables, instantly sending limbs flying. Some of the severed hands still clutched pistols and sabers.
After more than ten minutes, Xiao Ming retreated. His loose-fitting police uniform was completely soaked in blood.
Xiao Ming took off his police uniform and threw it on the ground, saying, "Sister Zhou, let your people handle the scene."
When the police officers arrived to process the scene, they were stunned by what they saw. None of them had expected the usually arrogant Da Long Gang to be so easily defeated.
The members of the Da Long Gang were carried away one by one. Since Xiao Ming hadn't deliberately aimed to kill, most of them had only lost limbs, so not many died.
Xiao Ming looked at Zhou Xia, who was staring blankly at the scene, and said, "Sister Zhou, let's go to the next place."
The three of them walked out of the bar and got into the car. Long Xiao, who was chatting with the Huo father and daughter, looked at Xiao Ming and said, "All dealt with. How much did you make?"
Xiao Ming sighed and said, "Bad luck. No one wanted to pay, so I had to cripple them all."
Long Xiao smiled and said, "Don't be discouraged. Perhaps you'll find someone with money at the next location."
