Zhan Mohan looked at the contract before him, feeling a headache coming on.
Originally, to minimize losses, he had chosen not to engage in company collaborations and instead sought to replace an artist. However, things were proving to be not so smooth.
He had already selected three seemingly decent models, but to his surprise, all three withdrew from the project.
This left Zhan's Group with two options: either abandon the idea of replacing their brand ambassador or completely terminate the contract with the entire talent agency.
However, such a termination would be Zhan's Group's responsibility, incurring a considerable breach of contract fee.
Wei Yumeng happened to pass by the study and noticed the light was still on, with Zhan Mohan still working inside.
She poured a cup of hot water and cut some fruit, bringing it to Zhan Mohan.
"Mohan, is it another work matter that's proving difficult?"
Zhan Mohan turned to her, "Yes, it is quite troublesome. But it's not entirely without solutions."
Wei Yumeng glanced at the contract on the desk, the one signed with Chen Yutong's agency.
"Is it the endorsement deal that's causing problems?" Wei Yumeng pondered, "Actually, this issue might not necessarily require this approach. Perhaps we can keep personal and professional matters separate. I believe I'm okay with that."
Zhan Mohan shook his head helplessly, "You don't need to consider me in every situation. Making that decision was my own choice, and anything is worth it to prevent you from suffering that kind of harm again."
"Mohan, how about this, let's give her another chance." Wei Yumeng said after some thought, "Since we've learned from past mistakes, I naturally won't let the same thing happen again. Of course, I also believe you wouldn't have anything with Chen Yutong. But if that kind of situation occurs again, it won't be too late to terminate the contract then."
Wei Yumeng was also the acting president of Feng's Company, so she had her own insights into the balance between work and personal life.
She knew that sometimes choosing between the two was inherently difficult.
On one side were one's own family, and on the other, the company, and the interests of all its employees.
Making the wrong choice could lead to being perceived as selfish, or perhaps as heartless.
In such cases, sometimes letting go appropriately and giving oneself a chance might not be a bad thing.
Zhan Mohan finally sighed, "I did all this for you. Do you truly think this is alright?"
Wei Yumeng nodded, "Yes, don't worry, I'm really fine."
As she spoke, she leaned down and gently kissed Zhan Mohan's forehead. "I understand your difficulties, so sometimes you just need to handle it professionally."
Zhan Mohan's lips curved slightly upwards. Perhaps being so understanding from Wei Yumeng was also a form of happiness.
Zhan Yangyi came to the company specifically to pick up Chen Yutong from work but found her in a good mood.
"What's making you so happy?"
Chen Yutong's face was filled with excitement, "Yangyi, I'm so happy, my project has been saved."
This, in turn, surprised Zhan Yangyi. The reason he had found the situation somewhat acceptable before was because he believed that without the project, Chen Yutong's contact with Zhan Mohan would decrease.

"How am I supposed to face this optimistically? Why don't you teach me?" Zhan Yangyi's voice turned cold. "Teach me how to accept this outcome when I know there might be something between you and another man?"
"You're being unreasonable! I have absolutely nothing with Zhan Mohan, why can't you trust me?"
Chen Yutong's face was filled with sadness. "Why don't you believe me even now? Doubting me time and time again?"
As Chen Yutong spoke, she also made up her mind. Now that the project issue was resolved, and Zhan's Group would not terminate her contract, Zhan Yangyi's role as a stepping stone had been fulfilled. Perhaps she could indeed let go of Zhan Yangyi appropriately.
After all, the status of Zhan Yangyi's girlfriend did tie her hands in many ways.
"Fine... fine... Since you don't trust me, then I think a relationship without trust is no longer necessary."
After saying this, Chen Yutong ran off crying without looking back.
It was only then that Zhan Yangyi realized what he had done.

"Yutong broke up with me."

Zhan Mohan didn't believe that believing everything Chen Yutong said was the right approach, especially since he was now wary of her. However, he couldn't confirm whether Zhan Yangyi was merely a stepping stone for Chen Yutong.
"I really love her, and because I love her, I worry she'll leave me..." As Zhan Yangyi spoke, he simply ordered another drink and downed it.
Zhan Mohan took a deep breath, "Brother, there's actually a way to resolve this. If you truly love her, why not marry her? Then there will naturally be no other concerns."
Zhan Yangyi was slightly taken aback. How could he have missed such a simple solution?
