Chapter 964: Get This Woman Out of Here

### Chapter 964: Get This Woman Out of Here

Although Wei Yumeng knew there was nothing between her and Zhan Mohan, she had to act as if she had been abandoned by him and confront Katherine, the so-called "other woman."

"Or perhaps you wouldn’t mind if I told Uncle Feng about this. Do you think your position would still be secure?" Wei Yumeng said with a slight smirk.

"Wei Yumeng, you wouldn’t dare!"

"Why wouldn’t I? Besides, even if I don’t tell them, the truth about you and Mohan will come out eventually, won’t it?"

Katherine was momentarily speechless. If she and Zhan Mohan were actually in that kind of relationship, it would indeed reach the ears of their families someday. She could already imagine Song Lijun and Feng Zhenhua’s fury when they found out. Feng Zhenhua might even hand the company over to Wei Yumeng rather than let her keep it.

While Katherine’s attention was focused on Wei Yumeng, a waiter with a bushy beard and sunglasses approached them. As he passed by Katherine, he deftly swiped her phone from her bag.

"Wei Yumeng, don’t push it! This matter wasn’t my responsibility to begin with, and you have no right to demand money from me," Katherine argued, oblivious to the subtle theft.

"If not you, then who? Weren’t you the one who deliberately seduced Mohan? How is this not your fault?" Wei Yumeng pressed aggressively, hoping to force Katherine to reveal the truth and save everyone some trouble.

"I…" Katherine faltered. How was she supposed to get out of this? Wei Yumeng clearly came prepared. If she couldn’t produce the money, Wei Yumeng wouldn’t let her off easily. But where was she supposed to get eight million? She was starting to regret choosing this approach to deal with Wei Yumeng.

Wei Yumeng leaned closer. "Katherine, if you don’t give me a satisfactory resolution today, I won’t let you off."

"Wei Yumeng, don’t go too far! If this gets out, it won’t do you any good either."

"Things have already come to this point—what do I have to lose? At worst, we both go down together." Wei Yumeng gave her no room to maneuver.

"You crazy woman! I won’t let you succeed!" Katherine stood up, their conversation completely breaking down. She saw no point in continuing to argue with Wei Yumeng.

Wei Yumeng watched her coldly. "Didn’t you bring this on yourself?"

Katherine grabbed her bag. "You lunatic, go ask your husband for compensation. I’m done with you."

She turned to leave but, in her haste, collided with a waiter. Unbeknownst to her, the waiter slipped her phone back into her bag.

Only when Katherine was completely out of sight did Wei Yumeng breathe a sigh of relief. She turned to the bearded waiter. "Did it work?"

The waiter removed his fake beard and sunglasses, revealing himself as Fang Xun. "Thanks to your acting skills, everything went smoothly."

"I’ve installed a tracker on her phone, linked to my phone and computer," Fang Xun said, showing Wei Yumeng his phone screen. A red dot was moving on a map. As long as they kept an eye on it, they could track Katherine’s movements and locate Mu Linjing.

The more Katherine thought about it as she left the café, the angrier she got. She couldn’t understand why Wei Yumeng was acting so crazy, demanding compensation. But the thought of Wei Yumeng’s humiliation brought a twisted sense of satisfaction. Still, her threats lingered in Katherine’s mind. If Wei Yumeng really told Song Lijun and Feng Zhenhua, what would she do? She and Zhan Mohan weren’t actually involved—how would she explain herself?

With these thoughts, she headed toward the place where Mu Linjing was being held. Since Wei Yumeng had provoked her, she would take out her frustration on her so-called friend.

Mu Linjing glared at Katherine coldly, refusing to engage.

Katherine, however, taunted her smugly. "I’m here to share some good news. Thought you’d want to celebrate with me."

"Good news? What, are the police issuing a nationwide warrant for you?" Mu Linjing shot back.

Katherine slapped her. "Watch your mouth. You’re in my hands now—I can do whatever I want to you."

"Tch." Mu Linjing rolled her eyes.

"I’ll have you know, Wei Yumeng came to me earlier. She said she’s willing to divorce Zhan Mohan. Isn’t that great news?"

"What?" Mu Linjing’s disbelief was palpable. "Yumeng would never do that. You think I’d believe you?"

Katherine sneered. "Why would I lie? It’s not like it benefits me to trick you."

Seeing Katherine’s confidence, Mu Linjing began to panic. Could it be true? Was Wei Yumeng really going to divorce Zhan Mohan? But wasn’t Zhan Mohan only pretending to be close to Katherine? How had things spiraled like this?

"It’s because of you!" Mu Linjing accused. "You must have done something to cause this!"

Katherine didn’t deny it, her expression smug. "You’re right. I messed up their lives. What are you going to do about it?"

The angrier Mu Linjing got, the happier Katherine felt. This woman had always opposed her, and now it was time for her to taste despair.

Meanwhile, Wei Yumeng, Zhan Mohan, and Fang Xun had pinpointed Katherine’s location. She had been lingering at one spot for a while—an old warehouse, according to their investigation, which had no apparent connection to her. This strongly suggested it was where Mu Linjing was being held.

With a clear target, they didn’t hesitate and rushed toward the location.

Mu Linjing glared at Katherine, her hatred growing. Leaning against the wall, she struggled to stand and, seizing a moment when Katherine wasn’t paying attention, lunged at her.

Caught off guard, Katherine was knocked to the ground.

"Katherine, if you’re not going to let me go, fine. You can stay here with me!" Mu Linjing pinned her down, making it impossible for her to move.

"Help! Someone, get this woman off me!" Katherine shouted toward the door.
