Chapter 832 Mo Han, Save Me

Most mental patients feel a vague fear when they see a syringe, and struggling is not unusual.

However, Wei Yumeng's reaction was extremely intense, as if the syringe itself was the source of her psychological trauma.

"No, I'm not sick, I'm really not sick, you all want to harm me, I really heard it."

Wei Yumeng's face showed only despair. She knew that her prolonged sleep was because of the injections, and after every injection, she would sleep for a long time.

Because of this, her waking hours were becoming fewer and fewer. Even if she only had a sliver of self-awareness left, she understood that things could not continue like this.

It was precisely because of this understanding that she developed a profound fear of the syringe. In her eyes, those drugs were no different from deadly weapons that could kill her directly.

It would be better to be killed directly than to endure this feeling of being worse than dead. She truly didn't want to continue like this.

The two orderlies used all their strength to restrain Wei Yumeng, but her frail body erupted with such immense power. She seemed to be struggling with all her might, regardless of the consequences.

Even if she accidentally injured herself during the struggle, she paid no mind. She only wanted to escape, to leave this place.

"Mo Han, save me."

Wei Yumeng looked towards the window, knowing that Zhan Mohan was watching her from there. She craved salvation, a way out of this hell, and only Zhan Mohan could save her.

Seeing Wei Yumeng in this state, Zhan Mohan's heart ached even more, and he clenched his fists.

Wei Yumeng looked into his eyes, filled with hope.

How could he stand by and do nothing when Wei Yumeng was like this? Her current state was a pain that pierced his very soul.

Mu Linjing was also terrified by the scene. She had only seen doctors calming mental patients on television before. Now, she truly felt that such violent methods were unbearable for an ordinary person.

She desperately wanted to rush in and stop the orderlies, but she also knew that the hospital was acting in Wei Yumeng's best interest. Was she helping or hindering by intervening?

Wei Yumeng's cries of anguish continuously echoed from the ward, drawing the curious glances of passersby in the hallway.

At that moment, the ward door was violently flung open, and Zhan Mohan, his face a mask of anger, glared at the doctors.

"All of you, get out!"

He could no longer bear it. He couldn't watch Wei Yumeng injure herself through her struggles, nor could he continue to listen to her cries.

"Mr. Zhan, Mrs. Zhan is currently..." the doctor attempted to speak, but was intimidated into silence by Zhan Mohan's icy gaze.

He sighed and signaled for the orderlies and doctors to leave the ward.

Wei Yumeng's voice was hoarse from the struggle and crying.

Zhan Mohan held her tightly in his arms. "It's okay, Yumeng. Don't be afraid. I'm here now, and no one will harm you."

Wei Yumeng didn't calm down immediately. Instead, she embraced Zhan Mohan tightly, burying her face in his chest and sobbing.

Zhan Mohan noticed that Wei Yumeng's legs, from her struggles, had hit the bedside, leaving a distinct bruise. Her palms, from the immense force she exerted, had her fingernails digging into her flesh, drawing blood.

Her hospital gown was even torn in several places from the struggle.

He couldn't imagine the extent of pain Wei Yumeng must have endured for her to resist with such desperation.

Wei Yumeng clutched Zhan Mohan's clothes. The metallic taste of blood in her mouth reminded her that the violent events were not a dream. How had things escalated to this point? When had it all begun?

She was completely lost.

Zhan Mohan held her tightly, not letting go. He wanted Wei Yumeng to feel safe with him. He had never given up on her and only wished for her recovery.

Wei Yumeng cried for a long time, and Zhan Mohan held her, unmoving, until she was exhausted from crying and finally drifted into a deep sleep in his arms.

Mu Linjing had been waiting outside the ward, afraid to disturb them and potentially worsen things. However, she was also worried about Wei Yumeng developing other symptoms. Only when she saw her asleep did she finally relax.

"Leave Yumeng to me," Mu Linjing said as she entered the ward to Zhan Mohan.

The man then noticed that Wei Yumeng had also bitten her lip, leaving traces of blood.

Mu Linjing tended to Wei Yumeng's wounds and changed her into a clean gown before settling her down.

Zhan Mohan sat aside, watching with a stern expression, lost in thought.

Mu Linjing glanced at Zhan Mohan and could only sigh softly. She had been shocked by the scene; it was unimaginable for Zhan Mohan, whose love for Wei Yumeng was now mirrored by his heartache.

Although he knew Wei Yumeng was experiencing a relapse during treatment, witnessing her struggle made it seem like she was being subjected to violence.

"You should go back. I can stay here. I'll spend more time here, monitoring her condition."

However, Zhan Mohan didn't respond. He furrowed his brow and asked, "Is it truly right to keep Yumeng here?"

Initially, they had kept Wei Yumeng in the hospital to ensure she received better treatment and recovered quickly. But seeing her in such pain made them doubt their decision.

Mu Linjing knew Zhan Mohan was letting his concern cloud his judgment. Objectively speaking, the doctors were acting this way because Wei Yumeng was highly uncooperative, and their intention was not to harm their patient.

Finally, Mu Linjing gave Zhan Mohan a firm answer. "You did the right thing. Yumeng's condition is very serious right now, and we can only provide her with the best possible treatment. I know this process might be painful for her, but it's all for her eventual recovery."

Upon hearing Mu Linjing's words, Zhan Mohan silently looked at Wei Yumeng's sleeping face.

He could no longer distinguish whether this was torment for Wei Yumeng or for himself.

Seeing Wei Yumeng suffer, how could he not suffer as well?

Mu Linjing could only shake her head helplessly at the scene. She envied the bond between them, yet she felt powerless in the face of their current predicament. No one would have wished for things to reach this point.

Zhan Mohan reached out and gently caressed Wei Yumeng's cheek. She seemed to be having a nightmare, her brow furrowed. Suddenly, she reached out and grabbed Zhan Mohan's hand.

Zhan Mohan clasped her hand back. "Don't worry, I'll find better doctors to treat you. You will get better."
