Another flash of lightning suddenly ripped open the sky, momentarily illuminating Wei Anguo's ferocious face, making him appear even more terrifying. Fury raged within him, and Wei Anguo panted heavily.
Smashing a water cup was not his usual demeanor. Wei Anguo's heart was still pounding violently.
As soon as she spoke, Wei Yumeng calmly wiped away the word "water." She had originally intended to call someone in to stop this meaningless argument.
But in the next second, Wei Anguo's words left her stunned.

"What do you mean?"
After a brief moment of thought, Wei Yumeng asked coldly. She did not betray her emotions at all, her words merely becoming indifferent.
"If you didn't know, why would you try to destroy our Wei family? What's worse, you won't even call me father!"
Wei Anguo couldn't fathom Wei Yumeng's thoughts, but the die was cast. What was said could not be unsaid, so he decided to lay everything out in the open!
Wei Yumeng watched Wei Anguo stomp around in his agitation, finding him utterly ridiculous, a clown putting on a pathetic display.
In his anger, he could utter such words, a testament to her brainless father.
"That's it?"
Wei Yumeng's expression was one of disdain. The reason Wei Anguo gave was far too absurd and comical. The sliver of astonishment that had coiled in her heart vanished with it.
Wei Anguo clearly saw Wei Yumeng's mocking expression. He was both angry and anxious, his shame turning to rage as he yelled at Wei Yumeng.
"Don't pretend anymore! Your deceased mother must have told you long ago that you and your mother were simply trying to get revenge on our Wei family!"
This statement touched a nerve with Wei Yumeng. Her eyes, cold and clear, narrowed as her fair fingers clenched tightly.
"Wei Yumeng, you are not my daughter at all, Wei Anguo's daughter! You were born to Gu Shuyi and her lover! You're just a bastard, and I, Wei Anguo, have raised an ungrateful wretch!"
Wei Anguo continued to incessantly condemn Gu Shuyi, his mouth spewing saliva. His gaze towards Wei Yumeng now held a trace of hatred.
"Shut up, you don't deserve to mention my mother's name!"
Wei Yumeng's eyes widened in fury. She slammed her hand heavily on the table, creating a tremendous sound that echoed intensely throughout the room.
Had Wei Anguo gone mad? How dare he question her mother! Her mother was not only a loving mother but also a virtuous wife, and she had met her end under unclear circumstances at the hands of Wei Anguo and Yin Fang. And Wei Anguo had the audacity to slander her!
"Wei Yumeng, you're losing your temper! Perhaps you're not even worthy of being called a bastard..." Wei Anguo felt a surge of satisfaction seeing Wei Yumeng's anger. He knew Wei Yumeng was fiercely loyal to Gu Shuyi and could not tolerate anyone speaking ill of her.

Wei Anguo's eyes were about to burst. If time were not of the essence and he didn't need to save Wei Jin first, he would have continued his investigation into who the lover was.

Wei Anguo continued to spew slanderous words about Gu Shuyi, his eyes turning bloodshot. These words not only pricked Wei Yumeng but also gnawed at Wei Anguo's own nerves.
