The wind and all the scenery whistled past Su Ziyu’s ears.
Ignoring the thorns and the ground littered with碎石 (suì shí - broken stones), she sprinted forward with all her might, like a mother leopard determined to reclaim her cubs, her gaze locked onto the figure sprinting just as frantically tens of meters ahead.
Su Ziyu didn’t realize she had already crossed Duck Peak and was hurtling down into the valley.
Suddenly—
The figure she had been relentlessly chasing vanished from her sight.
Su Ziyu was greatly alarmed.
Even more terrified!
Because the person she was chasing was directly linked to Li Qianfan’s safety.
If she lost track of them and they went into the complex, tree-dense environment, where would she find her little husband?
Fear spurred Su Ziyu to unleash the last of her latent potential.
Her sprinting speed abruptly increased!
She reached the spot where the figure had disappeared, instinctively stopping and looking up. As she searched for the person, she noticed a cave entrance on the left hillside, concealed by thick undergrowth.
In the desolate wilderness, how could an artificial cave entrance suddenly appear?
What was it for?
What was inside? Su Ziyu had no time to ponder such questions.
She simply felt that the person she was chasing had definitely hidden in this cave after vanishing.
Her little husband might have been bound and brought here by the villains.
If she rushed in rashly, she might face an ambush by several villains.
Yet, Su Ziyu showed no hesitation—
Even if it meant death, she had to find Li Qianfan and die with her little husband.
She dashed into the air-raid shelter, her hoarse voice shouting, “Qianfan, are you in there!?”
Her shout was a purely instinctive reaction.
But before her voice could echo back from the cave walls, she heard Li Qianfan’s voice from tens of meters away, “Wife, I’m here! Hurry and save me, save me!”
Qianfan was indeed here!!
Su Ziyu was overjoyed, and an inexhaustible surge of strength erupted from her limbs.
“Qianfan, don’t be afraid! I’m coming!”
She shouted and charged in.
Under the illumination of two battery-powered lamps on the shelter walls, Su Ziyu immediately saw four bald men cornering Li Qianfan.
A fierce glint, unknown to herself, flared in her eyes that had just been filled with elation.
Meanwhile, Wu Neng and the others.
None of them had expected Su Ziyu to find them.
After all, this air-raid shelter was incredibly well-hidden.
They were all startled when they heard Su Ziyu’s voice.
But it was only a moment of surprise!
They recognized Su Ziyu’s voice, definitely that of a beauty, as the woman who had lured them away.
“I see, this young couple is playing a role-reversal game.”
“The one lured into the valley below was the woman.”
“We captured the man.”
“I never thought she’d be able to find us here.”
“Good, really good.”
“This is truly a case of walking into hell when heaven’s gate is open.”
“Haha—”
Wu Neng and the others exchanged glances and burst into laughter.
The four of them were all ruthless individuals.
Any one of them could take on more than three ordinary young men.
What about a beautiful woman disguised as a man?
“I’ll go first!”
Amidst the laughter, Wu Shan stepped forward to meet the charging Su Ziyu. “Female benefactor, come with this monk to the Pure Land.”
Did he intend to guide the female benefactor to the Pure Land?
Before Wu Shan could utter another word, Su Ziyu was already upon him.
“Die!”
With a sharp cry, Su Ziyu’s slender right leg whipped through the air, delivering a fierce kick towards his left temple.
A whip kick.
For Wu Shan, who could handle three to five ordinary young men, this was nothing.
He simply needed to raise his left arm in time to block Su Ziyu’s kick with his elbow, and then follow up with a right fist aimed at her left ribs. That would essentially seal the deal.
Wu Shan was ninety-nine percent certain he could block Su Ziyu’s kick with his left elbow.
But he forgot that in this world, there was such a thing as “the one percent chance”!
Bang.
*Peng*—
The first *bang* was the muffled sound when Su Ziyu’s right foot fiercely struck Wu Shan’s left elbow.
And the second *bang*?
It was the loud noise made when Wu Shan, who was ninety-nine percent sure he could block the kick, was struck by an irresistible blow. As he was kicked sideways, his bald head slammed heavily against the air-raid shelter wall.
Wu Neng’s head might be hard, but it was certainly not harder than the concrete wall.
With a resounding *bang*, Wu Shan was instantly knocked unconscious.
“She took down Wu Shan with one kick?”
Wu Neng and the others, having witnessed this scene, had their eyes widen abruptly and their pupils contract.
“We’ve encountered a master.”
As Wu Neng and the others, who knew very well how formidable Wu Shan’s combat prowess was, all had the same thought flash through their minds, Su Ziyu, who had just knocked out Wu Shan with a single kick, let out another fierce cry and leaped into the air.
Her right foot lashed out fiercely towards Wu Neng’s chest.
Wu Neng instinctively raised his hands in a “cross” to block Su Ziyu’s kick.
Unfortunately, his strength was only one-fifth of his usual capacity (or one-fifth of an ordinary person’s, to be precise. After all, his strength had been capped after being ambushed by the烈焰截脉 (liè yàn jié mài - blazing flame meridian blockage)).
What could one-fifth of an ordinary person’s strength do against a full-powered kick from Su Ziyu, who was currently fueled by a desperate desire to save her husband?
A cross block?
Block your mother—
*Bang*!
With a dull thud, Wu Neng was sent flying backward and landed heavily.
His head hit the ground first, and after the “strong collision,” it even bounced a couple of times on the ground.
Knocked out!
After swiftly incapacitating two bald men with consecutive kicks, Su Ziyu’s fighting spirit became even more ignited.
Without a moment’s pause, she let out a sharp cry and charged towards Sha Wang, exuding a killing intent that could sweep away fallen leaves.
Sha Wang sneered—
He was not a good-for-nothing like Wu Neng or Wu Shan, who were knocked out by a woman’s two consecutive kicks.
He was a true hardened fighter who had engaged in underground boxing.
Su Ziyu’s fancy footwork?
Heh—
Before his chuckle could finish, Sha Wang felt as if his head had been hammered with a massive iron mallet.
He had no control, and his head was forced to smash against the stone wall of the air-raid shelter.
Then.
Knocked out!!
Three of the four formidable men were subdued by Su Ziyu in the blink of an eye.
Wa Deng became the sole remaining survivor.
Escape.
He had to escape.
This woman was an absolute master.
“Our mission this time has gone disastrously wrong.”
Wa Deng, whose combat prowess was comparable to Sha Wang’s, was quite intelligent.
He immediately let out a strange cry and feigned an attack on Su Ziyu, intending to force her to retreat instinctively and then seize the opportunity to flee the air-raid shelter.
“Yaa—”
Amidst Wa Deng’s strange cry, a pair of hands suddenly appeared behind him and tightly clasped his “waist.”
Then he heard Li Qianfan shouting behind him, “Wife, kick his head!”
The husband and wife, working together, were invincible!
*Bang*.
Su Ziyu delivered a fierce kick to Wa Deng’s head.
And then.
There was no then.
As soon as Li Qianfan released Wa Deng, who had been directly kicked unconscious, Su Ziyu rushed over and scooped him into her arms.
Before he could even react.
Su Ziyu’s lips, pale from fear, pressed fiercely, fiercely onto his.
