"Hurry up and ask clearly, where are these bad dinosaurs trying to trick us into going!"
Jiang Fan was no fool; he had a vague premonition of something ominous. These dinosaurs were not only strong but also intelligent, no less so than humans. If he went to a place even dinosaurs feared to tread, he would surely not fare well.
Dai Xiaomei continued to act as the translator, chattering away with the dinosaurs. At first, things seemed smooth, and Dai Xiaomei was even laughing and joking. However, as the conversation progressed, Dai Xiaomei's communication with the three dinosaurs seemed to encounter some issues.
Dai Xiaomei let out a few "aow aow aow" sounds and started scratching her scalp incessantly. She appeared very confused, not understanding what the dinosaurs were trying to convey.
"Aow aow aow, lu lu lu, air air (They seem to be saying they want to go to a triangular place)."
Dai Xiaomei gestured with her hands, drawing numerous triangles, making Jiang Fan's eyes spin. The dinosaurs then grunted and hissed at Dai Xiaomei for a while, after which Dai Xiaomei turned to Jiang Fan and started drawing circles.
"Hiss hiss hiss, aow aow lu, aow aow lu (They say there is a circle inside the triangle!)"
Jiang Fan was speechless. He squatted down and drew a triangle with a circle inside it. No matter how he looked at it, it resembled a zongzi, specifically a zongzi with a salted egg yolk filling.
"Are the dinosaurs craving zongzi with salted egg yolk filling and asking us to fetch it from Qu Yuan's tomb?"
Jiang Fan pondered this, finding it too outlandish to be possible.
"Keep asking clearly, I can't make out what this is at all!" Jiang Fan instructed Dai Xiaomei.
The dinosaurs and Dai Xiaomei continued to communicate, and Dai Xiaomei's translations appeared to be very difficult. It was important to remember that even if languages were the same, the conveyed meaning might not be the intended meaning. Even among humans, communication wasn't always easy, let alone between dinosaurs and humans. Human languages had numerous dialects, and translating dialects into standard Mandarin could lead to discrepancies in meaning. Translating foreign languages into Chinese could also result in significant deviations.
Jiang Fan had figured out that these dinosaurs' languages seemed quite varied. Some liked to say "aow," some hissed like lizards, and others liked to say "gu gu." This indicated that different species of dinosaurs also had their own dialects. Dai Xiaomei seemed to have automatically mastered all dinosaur languages, which amazed the dinosaurs, making them willing to communicate with her. The problem was that with Dai Xiaomei's simple mind, she might misinterpret the various strange languages. Then, when she relayed the information a second time, Jiang Fan would have to guess, and the meaning could be miles apart.
At this moment, Zhou Niannian spoke up. Seeing Jiang Fan drawing on the ground, Zhou Niannian's eyes lit up.
"That's right, Dai Xiaomei, you can write on the ground!"
Jiang Fan's eyes also lit up, and he gave Zhou Niannian a thumbs-up, wondering why he hadn't thought of this himself. Yes, even if they couldn't speak, they could write on the ground.
Dai Xiaomei, upon hearing this, quickly began to write on the ground. After writing with great effort for a long time, Jiang Fan and Zhou Niannian eagerly leaned in to see. As a result, both Jiang Fan and Zhou Niannian were stunned. After writing for so long, Dai Xiaomei had produced many dinosaur paw prints. Jiang Fan and Zhou Niannian nearly fainted; even their concept of writing had transformed into that of dinosaurs.
"It's over, you've completely turned into a human-shaped wild dinosaur!"
"You might never be able to change back!" Zhou Niannian said to Dai Xiaomei.
Dai Xiaomei pouted, clearly displeased. However, the dinosaurs were very happy; they each came forward and made a few paw prints, communicating with Jiang Fan. Jiang Fan looked utterly bewildered; he wasn't an expert codebreaker, who could understand such gibberish?
After a period of arduous communication, Dai Xiaomei finally bent down and drew a pyramid. This pyramid was very rudimentary, just a triangle, but Dai Xiaomei had opened a door in the middle of the triangle. Jiang Fan vaguely understood it was a pyramid, as zongzi didn't require doors. Then, Dai Xiaomei drew a circle inside the pyramid and added rays of light to the circle, making it look like a sun.
"The dinosaurs want us to find a sun inside the pyramid?" Zhou Niannian asked Dai Xiaomei.
Dai Xiaomei shook her head and used her hands to form a circle, then cradled it in her arms. Jiang Fan sighed, roughly understanding the dinosaurs' intention.
"I guess the dinosaurs want us to find a luminous sphere inside the pyramid!"
Dai Xiaomei nodded repeatedly upon hearing this and gave Jiang Fan a thumbs-up.
"Is this sphere made of stone, metal, or is it an energy orb?" Jiang Fan inquired. Dai Xiaomei shook her head like a rattle drum, then pointed at the dinosaurs, and shook her head like a rattle drum again. Everyone understood the implication: the dinosaurs themselves probably didn't know the specific material of the object.
Jiang Fan summarized.
"The dinosaurs need us to find an unknown material sphere inside the pyramid and bring it back, right!"
Dai Xiaomei nodded repeatedly upon hearing this. The dinosaurs on the other side also seemed to understand Jiang Fan's meaning and nodded vigorously. The plesiosaur's neck was quite long, and its head nodded so much it almost broke. Jiang Fan listened without saying a word, making no decision, only twitching his lips and looking at Yao. Yao also looked at Jiang Fan with an expression of extreme alertness. After a long pause, Yao slowly said, "Extremely! Dangerous!"
"Since that's the case, let's go help them retrieve the sphere!" Zhou Niannian, being quite carefree, didn't seem to mind and beckoned Jiang Fan and Yao to set off.
Jiang Fan and Yao didn't move, staring at Zhou Niannian as if she were an idiot.
"Do you know that's a pyramid..." Jiang Fan said slowly.
Zhou Niannian rubbed her head. "When I went to Egypt, I visited the Great Pyramid of Giza, and it wasn't that remarkable! The space inside is large, but we walked through it with ease."
"Idiot, can the pyramid in this secret realm be compared to the tourist sites you visited? It might be cursed!" Jiang Fan couldn't help but flick Zhou Niannian's forehead. Not just Jiang Fan, but many viewers in the live stream knew the horrors of pyramids. In Egypt, only a small portion of the pyramids were developed as tourist attractions. Those were built with human lives, and only pyramids that allowed people to enter safely were opened to tourists. Most pyramids were sealed forbidden zones, completely inaccessible.
"Damn it, the pyramid the dinosaurs want to go to is definitely not a good place!"
"I heard that in some pyramids, archaeologists who entered all died of illness or committed suicide, even guides committed suicide, and then they were sealed off."
"You know how terrifying these things are from watching The Mummy series!"
"Nonsense, if they could go in easily, wouldn't the dinosaurs go in themselves? They have small dinosaurs too!"
"Perhaps some dinosaurs have already gone in and died, which is why they are asking others to risk their lives!"
