Chapter 426 The Mighty Giant Squid

Just as Jiang Fan was observing, he suddenly noticed a rolling bubble on the surface of the lake.

"Does that look like a giant squid's hiding place to you?"

He expected Yao to ponder for a moment, but instead, Yao directly picked up a stone and tossed it towards the spot.

"What are you asking me for? Do you want to die? If we get counter-attacked, we're finished! Do you really know what we're doing right now?"

Jiang Fan was incredulous. He hadn't expected Yao to be so reckless and do such a thing. He knew how dangerous it was. Jiang Fan was very… As soon as he heard the sound, he immediately retreated.

Because he noticed the bubble was gradually expanding, as if something was surfacing. In the next second, a giant pit suddenly appeared beneath Jiang Fan's feet.

From this pit, a giant tentacle shot out and lunged towards Jiang Fan and Yao. Jiang Fan instinctively dodged to the side, but his calf was grazed. Suddenly, after being hit by the giant squid, his entire calf went numb.

"What the hell is this thing? Its power is so immense, is it really a giant squid?"

Jiang Fan said, then began to run with heavy steps. At this moment, the giant squid continued its assault.

"Damn it, Jiang Fan, we can't take this! Its strength is too great."

Yao was not someone who would say such things lightly. Only after witnessing the squid's ferocity did he utter these words. The giant squid's power was indeed formidable. Jiang Fan initially had no solution, and Yao stood by, also at a loss. It seemed that a single mistake would lead to their demise at the hands of this creature.

"This won't do. We need to find a way, or perhaps get all the villagers from the entrance to come in. That might help us hold off this giant squid for a bit."

However, the villagers at the entrance did not follow Jiang Fan's suggestion to help; they remained at their post.

"Getting out of here is a problem in itself. If we could get out, we wouldn't have to worry about being killed by this squid. It's precisely because we can't get out that we're in such a predicament."

Just then, Yao saw a squid tentacle swing towards them, narrowly missing Jiang Fan. Without hesitation, Yao rushed forward, pushed Jiang Fan aside, and then raised his weapon to block. But how could this possibly suffice?

Yao's body was sent flying as if struck by a projectile, slamming into the wall and sticking there.

Seeing this, Jiang Fan was utterly astonished. He quickly moved two steps forward and jumped in front of Yao, then pulled him down.

"Are you alright?"

Yao appeared to be seriously injured, with a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth. Hearing Jiang Fan's question, he frowned, utterly exasperated.

"Do you need me to spit out my internal organs before you realize I'm injured? You're still asking if I'm okay? Of course I'm not okay! Hurry and get me out of here, or I'm done for."

Hearing this, Jiang Fan had no time for jokes. He immediately slung Yao onto his back and was about to find a place to escape when, unexpectedly, a group of savages suddenly charged in.

Jiang Fan had intended to seize this opportunity to get Yao away, but Yao unexpectedly leaped off his back.

"What are you doing? Weren't you seriously injured? Why are you getting off my back? Aren't you afraid of dying? You idiot!"

Upon hearing this, Yao winked at the savages, and Jiang Fan immediately understood.

"I get it. Good brother, wait a moment. Once I've dealt with these people, I'll get you out of here. Don't worry, you'll be fine."

Yao nodded his head vigorously.

Seeing so many people, Jiang Fan's spirits soared. He walked to the very front of the group. The savages were astonished to see Jiang Fan wielding a fire axe, as they had no such weapons, only axes made of stone. Jiang Fan's axe was a devastating advantage, filling them with confidence.

With a roar from Jiang Fan, everyone charged forward with him. Jiang Fan unhesitatingly launched an attack on the enormous giant squid.

The giant squid was quickly struck by Jiang Fan's fire axe. Moreover, Jiang Fan's slender physique allowed for rapid movement, so he immediately dodged to another side. For the giant squid, hitting Jiang Fan was simply a pipe dream.

It was a pity for the savages. Due to their sheer numbers, when they tried to escape, they found the squid's tentacles to be incredibly large.

They couldn't escape. With a sweep of the tentacles, they were sent flying. Only Jiang Fan remained, showcasing his skills.

Yao knew that Jiang Fan would soon be unable to cope alone and immediately went to help. Despite running and spitting blood, he did not hesitate.

"Jiang Fan, attack its ink sac!"

Hearing this, Jiang Fan watched as Yao blocked the giant squid's attack. He then leaped onto its head and struck its vital spot.

Although the squid was immense, its skin was no different from that of an ordinary squid. When Jiang Fan's blade sliced through, an endless torrent of ink erupted.

This ink was a superior medicinal ingredient. Jiang Fan immediately took out a small bottle and began collecting it. Although he was splattered, he was fortunate to have killed the giant squid.

As he collected, he let out a sigh of relief.

"Damn, finally killed this thing! It was too powerful; I almost lost my life here."

The savages, possessing good physical resilience, although beaten, did not appear to be seriously injured. Seeing that Jiang Fan and Yao had killed the giant squid, they were utterly amazed.
