Chapter 392: Chapter 392: I Know You’re in a Hurry, But Hold On
Madara smiled as he looked at Naruto. "You really are a surprising kid."
Tobirama nodded. "That’s my great-grandson."
Madara: "..."
Not smiling anymore.
Madara’s face turned cold. He glared at Tobirama with killing intent. "Looks like before I begin Infinite Tsukuyomi, I need to rip off that annoying mouth of yours."
Tobirama stared back without a hint of fear. "Too bad. My mission isn’t to fight you. Otherwise, Uchiha Izuna would be thrilled to know his brother died by my hand too."
Madara’s fists clenched.
There were only two people in the world who could really get under Madara’s skin—one was Hashirama, and the other was Izuna. Tobirama was Hashirama’s brother, which was already irritating enough. But he also killed Izuna. That made him a full-on trigger.
So Tobirama became the one person in the world Madara absolutely couldn’t stand.
"Alright, enough talk." Kurama clapped. "The pre-battle speeches are done. If anyone still wants to throw out some threats or say something deep and meaningful, say it now. Once the fight starts, try to talk less—don’t want to be the one interrupting fights with dialogue."
Madara held his staff and looked Kurama up and down. "I never really paid attention before, but Nine Tails... is your personality a little different from before?"
Very few people could leave Madara feeling confused—actually, none ever had. This was a first.
"You finally noticed, huh?" Kurama grinned. "To take my revenge on you, I crawled back from hell. And after being there so long, it’s only natural I changed."
"I know better than anyone what hell feels like now~"
Kurama stuck out his tongue and licked his lips.
The move, combined with his creepy smile, was supposed to be scary. But... he’s a fox. A canine.
That kind of made it hard to take seriously.
"Quit trying to act cute." Sasuke was the first to call him out.
Kurama froze in place.
"Not bad." Madara gave a cold chuckle. "As expected, tailed beasts are best as pets."
Kurama flipped the table: "Screw you!"
"Six Paths Sage Art: Tailed Beast Spiral Strike!"
The battle started just like that. As Kurama launched his attack, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi moved in sync, each forming hand signs and unleashing their jutsu without hesitation.
Naruto raised his Rasengan high. "Six Paths Sage Art: Giant Rasengan!"
Sasuke charged with his black lightning, and his Susano’o raised its bow. "Six Paths Sage Art: Arrow of Amaterasu!"
Sakura clenched her right fist and threw a punch at the air. "Six Paths Sage Art: Monster Strength!"
Kakashi: "..."
A black spiral strike, a blue Rasengan, a black flaming arrow, and a pink giant fist flew toward Madara—plus a red fireball mixed in. Wait... something weird got thrown in there?
Madara’s Truth-Seeking Ball turned into a sphere to block the attacks. As he rose into the air, he formed hand signs. "Six Paths: Yin Style – Thunder Burst!"
Grayish-white lightning shot from his hands like cracks spreading through space, triggering the attacks to explode before reaching him. But the shockwaves still rushed at him—until the ball-shaped Truth-Seeking Orb moved in front and blocked them all perfectly.
While closing in fast, Kurama yelled at Kakashi, "How many times have I told you?! Fireballs don’t kill people!"
Kakashi looked helpless. "I don’t have Six Paths powers, and hey—Fireball Jutsu is still a C-rank move! Of course it can kill someone..."
Getting tossed in among a bunch of ’Six Paths Techniques’ really made that fireball feel out of place.
Honestly, Kakashi had planned to rush in with a kunai. But after seeing his teammates’ jutsu, he figured getting hit by friendly fire was more likely than dying to Madara. So...
"My chakra can’t handle those huge jutsu anyway." Kakashi sighed, glancing enviously at Naruto flinging Rasengans like candy.
Still, envy aside, he couldn’t drag the team down.
With that in mind, Kakashi opened his eyes. His Mangekyou Sharingan spun slowly—and in the next moment, his body vanished into a black spiral.
"Six Paths Sage Art: Tailed Beast Spiral Strike!" Naruto shouted, charging at Madara with the attack in hand.
Madara’s expression hardened as he formed hand seals again. "Six Paths · Fire Release · Great Fireball Technique!"
This was like the sun.
Even in Six Paths Mode, Naruto could feel the burning heat making him uncomfortable. Without hesitation, he threw the Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken backhanded, smashing it into the great fireball. The violent explosion and roar sent him flying.
Almost at the same time, Naruto shouted at Kurama, "Kurama, you liar! Madara’s fireball almost burned my hair off!"
Kurama: "..."
Kurama gave an awkward cough and chose to ignore him. "Take this—one giant Tailed Beast Bomb!"
A Tailed Beast Bomb even bigger than Kurama himself shot upward, heading straight for Madara’s face.
Madara clicked his tongue. "So becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki means I can’t use phasing anymore."
That was bad news.
But it wasn’t like he was out of tricks.
"Pest, whatever you’ve got in your eyes—let me borrow it for a bit." The Rinnegan turned slightly, and a wave of powerful life force burst from Madara’s eyes.
He clapped his hands together, chakra surging like never before. "Six Paths · Wood Release · True Several Thousand Hands!"
The ground shook. Everyone could feel the overwhelming power that erupted in that instant. They all stopped moving, staring ahead in shock.
The massive Tailed Beast Bomb had just been launched when an even larger humanoid figure caught it. A towering form, nearly a kilometer tall, rose from the earth, its huge body like a seated Buddha statue.
The statue held the Tailed Beast Bomb firmly in its arms, unable to move.
Tobirama’s expression darkened. "That’s my brother’s jutsu!"
Kurama remembered unpleasant memories.
He’d been beaten badly by this thing before—and that was when he was armored in Susano’o, yet still got smashed apart.
Madara stood atop the giant Buddha’s head. At this moment, the once-massive wooden man jutsu looked like nothing more than an ornament worn by the statue.
The Tailed Beast Bomb exploded. In the flash of white light, half of the giant Buddha’s body was blown apart, countless wooden fragments falling to the ground.
"Let’s clean things up a bit." Madara formed hand seals, glancing at the people below. "Too many unrelated folks here."
Tobirama’s face grew tense.
Almost at the same time, Madara’s Rinnegan began to glow, releasing overwhelming ocular power. "Six Paths · Super · Heavenly Obstruction Earth-Shaking Star!"
Countless massive boulders and shattered wood rose into the air under everyone’s horrified gaze. More than ten small black chakra orbs floated in the sky, and in the blink of an eye, those stones and wood wrapped around the orbs, forming enormous, oddly shaped meteors that hovered overhead.
Dozens of meteors, each several hundred meters across—bigger than the Chibaku Tensei Pain had used when sealing Naruto in the original story.
Madara dodged Sasuke’s attack in a flash, blocking Naruto with a Truth-Seeking Ball.
He looked up at the meteors in the sky, nodding in satisfaction before glancing down. "A little big for raindrops, but... it’s fine for clearing the field."
Sasuke and Naruto stayed where they were, their expressions unchanged.
The "raindrops" began to fall. The destructive force of those meteors was terrifying—just one of them could destroy the entire Konohagakure.
"It only looks big and flashy." The shadow beneath Kurama had already swallowed his entire body, but his expression didn’t change at all. "With a bit of effort, I can blow them all away!"
Kurama opened his mouth, gathering massive amounts of chakra.
At the same time, Sasuke pressed his hands together. With the glow of the tomoe-patterned Rinnegan, a chakra sphere no bigger than a fist rose slowly from his hands into the sky.
The chakra’s aura burst forth as Sasuke smiled faintly. "I can do that too."
"Six Paths Sage Art · Super · Chibaku Tensei!"
To keep you from falling and smashing the plants, I’ve decided to turn you into an even bigger meteor, and take Madara with you... Get back into space!
The next second, those huge meteors were pulled in. With the rumbling on the ground, every meteor was drawn uncontrollably toward the chakra sphere. Madara... also couldn’t control his movement and was pulled toward Chibaku Tensei.
"Don’t we have the same level of eye power...?" Even though he couldn’t control his body, Madara’s expression barely changed. "Well, it’s still within my plans."
He couldn’t rush things—there was no point in rushing anyway.
