How should I put it—ever since Naruto, Sasuke, and himself gained the power of the Sage of Six Paths, and each of them had become far stronger in different ways, Kurama no longer saw Kaguya as an unbeatable enemy.
In the original story, Naruto and Sasuke, just with Sage of Six Paths power, plus Kakashi and Sakura’s help, could seal Kaguya away. Now all three of them were far stronger than in the original—there’s no way they could lose to Kaguya.
It’s simple—just get Naruto and Sasuke to touch Kaguya at the same time, and it’s over.
The three she’s facing now—one is basically Otsutsuki Hagoromo, one is basically Otsutsuki Hamura, and the last is basically the Ten-Tails. How do you lose to that? You can’t.
But if the person in front of them wasn’t Kaguya, but Orochimaru with all of Kaguya’s powers... then things get tricky.
Orochimaru’s strength is often criticized—splitting his soul, losing to almost everyone early on, losing to almost everyone later on—but the fact is, he’s been through two great ninja wars and even commanded one. When it comes to schemes and battle awareness, he’s second to none.
Just look at Jiraiya, the bottom of the Legendary Three, and you’ll understand.
That’s why Kurama would rather face Kaguya alone than face an Orochimaru-version Kaguya with Naruto and Sasuke. The difference is huge.
"Let’s just hope this guy doesn’t know Kaguya’s abilities." Kurama’s face turned unusually serious. Even he couldn’t joke in this situation.
Naruto felt something strange. Frowning, he looked at the howling Kaguya with confusion. "Why do I feel a familiar aura from Kaguya?"
"It’s Orochimaru," Sasuke said bluntly. After all, when his curse mark was removed, he had faced Orochimaru’s soul head-on. "I’m sure of it—this Kaguya has become Orochimaru’s reincarnation body."
Naruto still didn’t get it. "With Kaguya’s strength, since she’s immortal, how could Orochimaru take her body?"

Based on how Sasuke in the original story could destroy Orochimaru’s forced reincarnation with just his Three-Tomoe Sharingan, there’s almost no way he could take over Kaguya’s body.
Most likely, he used some kind of trick from outside the normal rules... or maybe Kaguya hasn’t actually revived yet, and what they see now is just a vessel, with Kaguya’s mind still asleep.
But how did Orochimaru pull that off?
Good question.
And no one but Orochimaru could answer it.
So don’t bother asking again next time.
"Though I think it’s unlikely..." Sasuke’s Tomoe Rinnegan glowed faintly as he looked at ’Kaguya’ and asked, "Stop laughing and explain what’s going on."
’Kaguya’ stopped laughing and glared coldly at Sasuke. "And why would you think I’d explain it to you?"
"Knew it." Sasuke wasn’t angry. He just shrugged at Naruto helplessly. "See? She’s not going to answer."
Kurama: Are you kidding me?
Come on, at times like this... usually I’m the one making jokes, right? You stealing my job now?
In the distance, "Kaguya" looked at her pure white, jade-like arm. The veins around her Byakugan slowly swelled, and her lips curved into another smile, eyes full of intoxication. "Subarashii! This beauty, this unmatched power, this life untouched by death... it’s amazing!"
Her dream was about to come true—eternal life, mastering every jutsu in the ninja world, gaining all the knowledge in existence.
"Kaguya" covered half her face with one hand, and a laugh slowly slipped out.
The voice was beautiful, yet it carried an unsettling feeling.
Naruto frowned and clenched his fist. "Hey, Orochimaru, are you a guy or a girl?"
"Does it matter?" "Kaguya" smiled without a care. "Male or female is just a label you humans use. I abandoned that long ago. I am simply me."
"That’s disgusting." Naruto shuddered.
"On that, I agree." Sasuke nodded.
Kurama’s serious expression started to crack. He could barely hold back his urge to comment, and the moment they finished speaking, the words burst out of him uncontrollably. "Snake Auntie is pretty great too..."
Smack—
Kurama slapped himself. "Stop engraving every damn thing into your DNA, you idiot!"
That hurt a little...
Kurama looked at his right paw with a face full of disdain.
"Hmph~" "Kaguya" gave a light snort. "You three... let me get used to this power."
Kurama lowered his paw and tilted his head in puzzlement. "By the way, I’ve been meaning to ask—Madara said you and Black Zetsu activated the Infinite Tsukuyomi inside him, so... where is it?"
The Infinite Tsukuyomi’s light was blinding, covering the entire ninja world the moment it was cast. But from then until now, Kurama hadn’t sensed even a hint of it.
Looking up at the sky, he saw the sun setting in the west. The moon had yet to rise, and while it wasn’t completely dark, it was no longer as bright as daytime. There was absolutely no sign of the Infinite Tsukuyomi being active.
"I have no obligation to answer your questions." "Kaguya" chuckled. "But did I ever say I planned to use the Infinite Tsukuyomi?"
It was true—knowing Orochimaru’s personality, there was no way he’d be like Madara or Obito and cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi just to put the whole world to sleep.
Kurama crossed his arms. "My point is, what happened to the Infinite Tsukuyomi you already activated? Without it, Kaguya couldn’t be revived, and you wouldn’t have her body right now. But I don’t feel any of its light covering the world."
"Kaguya" let out a mocking laugh. Maybe because he was in a good mood, Orochimaru actually answered Kurama’s question. "The Infinite Tsukuyomi exists to give Kaguya enough chakra to revive. So rather than being a must for her revival, it’s more accurate to say that gathering massive chakra is the real key."
"We did activate the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but we didn’t project this ultimate genjutsu onto the ninja world. If we did, Kaguya would fully awaken, and I wouldn’t be able to take her body."
"Kaguya" spread her arms and looked up at the illusory moon on the horizon. "I don’t need Kaguya’s mind to return. And Black Zetsu’s opinion... doesn’t matter."
In short, the Infinite Tsukuyomi had already been activated, but at the last moment, Orochimaru controlled its effect so its light never covered the ninja world. That way, Kaguya couldn’t absorb enough chakra, and her mind remained asleep.
Orochimaru had used Black Zetsu’s unique body, combined with the Ten Tails and Six Paths power, to partially revive Kaguya—creating a body without Kaguya’s mind.
"Tch, easy for you to say." Kurama clicked his tongue in annoyance.
