"I'll go help first, sir. You figure something out yourself." Zhu Ziqian said, then merged with the other zodiacs, intending to join forces to close the异界传送入口 (dimensional portal).
Huang Kou's two dog ears perked up, and he waved a paw print, batting back a group of诡异 (anomalies) that had emerged from the dimensional portal. However, when facing foreign apostles, a group of humans, his power was limited to suppression and control; he could not outright kill them.
The world's laws stipulated that gods could not easily attack ordinary people, lest they face divine retribution. This was why the zodiacs were somewhat constrained.
"Old Zhu, you continue closing the dimensional portal. I'll go switch with Little Dumb Ox to help you." Huang Kou said, leaving Zhu Ziqian behind and rushing to assist Niu Xiaotong.
"Bull Charge~" Little Niu Xiaotong stomped his feet in mid-air, and a massive phantom bull head charged towards the low-level god opposite him.
Despite being the youngest among them, Niu Xiaotong was a top contender in terms of strength and combat.
"Little Yellow Ox." Huang Kou dodged the low-level god Niu Xiaotong had sent flying and said, "Leave this to me. You go help Old Niu close the dimensional portal."
The divine realms of other worlds and the original world were, in essence, different spaces, neither infringing upon nor allowing invasion of the other.
Gods from foreign divine realms, unless they became gods through worldly selection, were not accepted by the world's laws and were not allowed to coexist. These low-level gods who had escaped from other worlds were pseudo-gods born from the anomalies.
From pseudo-gods to low-level gods, it was no longer enough to simply devour anomalies for promotion; they now required human faith.
But pseudo-gods were pseudo-gods after all. How could they possibly be opponents of the zodiacs who held the positions of true gods?
Hei Bao Tu, who was currently suppressing and pummeling a pseudo-god, sensed the foreign apostle attempting a sneak attack. His ruby-red rabbit eyes flashed with dangerous crimson light, but he suddenly heard a familiar voice from behind him, "Bunny, be careful."
The sneak-attacking foreign apostle was kicked away by a man who suddenly appeared. He then held Hei Bao Tu's hand, his expression tense, "Bunny, are you alright?"
Hei Bao Tu was stunned and stammered, "Jing, Jing Qing, how are you here?"
Jing Qing was Hei Bao Tu's lover, the owner of the spicy rabbit head restaurant. His appearance was upright and handsome, and he now said to Hei Bao Tu with deep affection, "You suddenly disappeared, and I was very worried about you, so I followed."
Hei Bao Tu's expression suddenly changed. He immediately turned and covered his eyes, panicking and flustered, "I, I'm not the Bunny you're talking about. You've got the wrong person!"
Hei Bao Tu was currently in his true god form, with bright, blood-gem-like eyes that clearly marked him as no ordinary being.
He feared that Jing Qing would recognize his identity and be afraid of him.
"Bunny, no matter what your identity is, I don't care, really." Jing Qing quickly grabbed Hei Bao Tu's hand. "Really, I swear. And you, as you are now, are truly beautiful."
Hei Bao Tu cautiously looked back, "R, really?"
Jing Qing quickly nodded, the affection in his eyes genuine.
"Hey, hey, hey, if you're going to flirt, find an appropriate time."
"Exactly. We're all busy working hard over here. Can you two lend a hand?"
These two teasing remarks, one from behind and one from the side, came from Jing Qing's two friends, who were also transcendent beings with abilities who had joined the guild.
Looking up, a large number of guild members and superhumans with abilities had arrived on the scene at some point, joining the war that had erupted with the opening of the foreign divine realm.
Planes from the National Special Headquarters and students from the Academy of Non-natural Management had also joined the fight, with Shen Lu's permission.
Jiang Yue, swinging a flaming fist, said, "We can't defeat gods, but we're more than capable of dealing with apostles."
This was not just a battle between gods; it was also a fight for humanity's own survival.
Lu Zhi, however, was confined to a small area and could only observe from the sidelines. Even his brother, Lu Chengxuan, seeing him, had no intention of helping him out, only saying, "How could Shen Qi treat you like this?"
Lu Zhi retorted indignantly, "Exactly, brother. Hurry and think of a way to get me out."
But Lu Chengxuan added, "We should find you a safer place first."
Lu Zhi: ???
Just how fragile do you all think I am?
