Chapter 45 Companionship

"Yes, you actually discovered it," Zhou Mingyu replied. "You have sharp eyes."

Li Zhentao didn't reply. He was watching Wang Muman take on five opponents alone and stood there, stunned. His mouth was agape; thankfully, they weren't playing a face-to-face game.

"I said, Zhentao, why aren't you replying?" Zhou Mingyu was used to it and didn't find it strange.

"So the goddess's skills are this amazing. She's taking on all of them by herself," Li Zhentao felt a surge of admiration.

"Ah, you're talking about that. I was like that at first too. After playing with sis so much, it's not strange anymore," Zhou Mingyu stood by the blue buff, watching it transfer to Yan Cheng. A pang of bitterness hit him. Why did all the good things go to Yan Cheng? He was right there too.

"Mingyu, I also heard that your class is very strong, with three people in the top ten of the grade," Li Zhentao recalled their homeroom teacher praising Class Five's teacher in the office on Friday, feeling extremely envious.

Zhou Mingyu stopped looking at his phone, abandoning the idea of blending in. He had seen the ranking list himself and said, "Unfortunately, two of them are right here."

"You mean these two?" Li Zhentao didn't mention Zhou Mingyu, as he had a rough idea of his friend's academic performance.

"Who else could it be but me?" Zhou Mingyu snorted.

"You actually have self-awareness!" Yan Cheng interjected. "Back then, I told you to listen carefully in class, sit at the back, and don't sleep so often."

Zhou Mingyu retorted, "Back in the day, I was also ranked first in the grade. It's just that I'm not interested in memorizing anymore."

After this match ended, Wang Muman stopped playing. She started writing in her diary, did some of her homework, and went to bed. She didn't sleep soundly, as she felt insecure without anyone at home. Wang Muman dreamt she fell into a vast, deep green sea and slowly sank. Her breathing seemed to stop. She woke up in a cold sweat, her breathing slightly labored. Wang Muman calmed herself, took a sip of water to ease her breathing, and checked her phone. It was already six o'clock. Wang Muman got up to wash. Downstairs, she found breakfast already prepared, and her brother was eating.

"I thought you weren't coming back, brother!" There was no movement last night, so Wang Muman thought her brother would return during the day.

"I came back in the early hours of yesterday. It was too late, so I didn't tell you." Wang Mujin finished his last bite of bread and looked at Wang Muman, "What are you planning to do today?" he asked about her schedule.

"Just the usual, like doing homework," Wang Muman sat down and picked up a piece of bread to eat.

Wang Mujin also thought about the unfinished work he had for today. He nodded. He wouldn't have time to accompany his sister today. "Then I'll go to the study to work. Tell me if there's anything you want to eat or do."

Wang Muman nodded slightly, indicating she understood. Wang Mujin went upstairs to handle his affairs. After finishing her meal, Wang Muman brewed some chrysanthemum tea and brought it to her brother. She placed the cup on the desk and suddenly noticed her brother's phone wallpaper was a picture of a girl, which surprised her greatly.

"Brother, are you dating?" Thinking that her brother was no longer young, she already knew the answer in her heart.

Wang Mujin was taken aback by Wang Muman's question. He looked at the phone she was pointing to, scratched his head, and nodded, looking a little embarrassed. "I'll introduce you next time. I think you'll get along very well."

"Then brother, don't always think about accompanying me. Spend more time with your girlfriend. Aren't you very busy with work?" Wang Muman had wanted to say this for a long time.

"It's different. My sister is my family. I've only known her for a month. Whether she's my girlfriend still needs time."

Wang Muman didn't quite understand. She believed that if two people fell for each other, they wouldn't let go easily. "I won't disturb you. I'm leaving."
