A familiar girl, Zhang Qing, a big fan of Shen Jiaxin, was walking towards the cafeteria entrance. She heard He Lele's words and recognized both of them, so she came over to join the conversation.
"Then I'll wait for you at your classroom door tomorrow. Xin Ge will probably be with you, right?" Zhang Qing's eyes were beautiful, as if they could speak.
He Lele nodded vigorously. Zhang Qing smiled and left.
"Manman, tomorrow you'll just accompany me, your dearest best sister, to watch an exciting and intense basketball game!" He Lele said excitedly.
Wang Muman put her hand to her forehead. "Will you be cheering for our class, or for Li Zhentao?" Wang Muman actually knew the answer to this question.
"Of course, for our class!" He Lele said a little guiltily.
"I'm afraid your heart is with the enemy!" Wang Muman directly voiced He Lele's inner thoughts.
After finishing their meal, the two returned to the classroom for evening study. The spring sunset was also beautiful. He Lele's gaze was always drawn to the window, and she had no mind for homework. The people around her were diligent, not lifting their heads. He Lele smacked her lips, held a pen in her mouth, and daydreamed.
When evening study ended, the first break was always the busiest time. Many people were frantically writing homework at their desks, wanting to secure more rest time for the next evening study session. He Lele patted Wang Muman, asking her to accompany her to the restroom. Wang Muman stood up and saw Yan Cheng at the front lecture desk, head bowed, counting homework notebooks, his bangs hanging down, muttering to himself. Shi Kai stood beside him, looking dazed, unsure of what he was thinking.
He Lele hurriedly pulled Wang Muman away; she could hardly hold it any longer.
Wang Muman was pouring water outside the restroom. There were quite a few people, almost a queue. Zhang Jiayi let her have a spot to pour water. After pouring the water, as she was about to put the lid back on, the person behind her suddenly jostled her, pushing her to the side.
"Careful!" a familiar voice said, and her wrist was grabbed.
Wang Muman steadied herself, and thankfully, her water cup was covered. Wang Muman turned around and, as expected, it was Yan Cheng. He was still holding a stack of test papers, which were precariously balanced.
"Thank you!" Wang Muman still said this.
Yan Cheng released her wrist, shook his head, and tidied his test papers. "From now on, give me your water cup, and I'll pour it for you!" Yan Cheng tilted his head and looked at her.
Wang Muman felt a bit embarrassed and refused by shaking her head.
"Your brother asked me to take good care of you!" Yan Cheng invoked Wang Mujin's name, hoping it would be effective.
"Don't be like my brother; I'm not disabled." Wang Muman saw He Lele coming out, said this, and then went to find her.
Yan Cheng followed closely, wanting to say something more, but Wang Muman had already left with He Lele.
Before the basketball game, Zhang Qing waited for He Lele and the others at the back door of Class Five. He Lele was packing up her things, tidying her desk drawer, took some money, and then walked with Wang Muman and Shen Jiaxin.
"Hello, Xin Ge!" Zhang Qing quickly greeted Shen Jiaxin.
Shen Jiaxin was very familiar with Zhang Qing, who often came to watch her play basketball and had given her a lot of water. She nodded at Zhang Qing.
He Lele was impatient and rushed ahead to the convenience store to buy water. By the time she paid, Wang Muman and the others had just arrived at the basketball court.
He Lele handed three bottles of water to Wang Muman and Zhang Qing. "Here, these are for you two. Give them to the person who deserves them!" He Lele specifically looked at Wang Muman as she said this. She had recently noticed that the people around her seemed a bit different from Yan Cheng. Perhaps she was overthinking it, but it didn't matter; she'd just assume it was the case.
