Chapter 6 The Fiery Villain's Transformation (6)

The young girl bit her lip, her pale skin reflecting the dim light. Her delicate eyebrows, as refined as ink paintings, were timidly lowered, full of pitiable charm.

"Damn it."

The young man scratched his head and finally got into the taxi.

Shen Yue was a little surprised. She had expected the great villain to turn around and leave. After all, his temper seemed so fiery, giving him an untamed aura, like a wolf that couldn't be tamed.

Perhaps... he wasn't as unapproachable as he appeared.

Shen Yue nervously clutched the hem of her clothes, thinking to herself as she unconsciously stole glances at Wei Jingzhou, her bottom inching sideways.

"Try moving closer again," a cold, slightly fierce tone sounded.

Shen Yue instantly sat up straight, daring not to move again.

The man wore a cold expression and shot Shen Yue a warning look.

Shen Yue pretended to be nonchalant and looked out the car window, avoiding his gaze, her heart pounding.

Fortunately, the young man only stared at her for a moment and didn't throw a punch.

She let out a silent sigh of relief and confirmed that the great villain must indeed dislike her. It was strange, though, as she felt this was her first time meeting him. Could he have seen her hidden, dark, "white lotus" side?

System: [Don't be so pessimistic. Think about it from another angle. For example, if you found a steel wire in your food at the cafeteria, what would be your first reaction?]

[Anger, because it's unsanitary.]

The System's voice deepened: [You're still too naive. You can think of it from another perspective and be happy, because the cafeteria finally washed their pots today!]

Shen Yue: [...] Is that something to be happy about?

System: [Look, someone with such a bad temper as the villain still drove you home personally because he was worried about your safety. When you tried to get close, he refused, but he didn't hit you. This means there's still room for things to turn around.]

Shen Yue hesitated: [Is there a possibility that he simply respects women?]

The System chuckled: [The great villain's sense of morality has been weak since childhood. In his world, there are no genders, only people who should be beaten and people who shouldn't be.]

Shen Yue felt that what the System said wasn't entirely accurate. Lost in thought, the taxi suddenly took a sharp turn. Not paying attention, she fell sideways.

She crashed into the man.

The man's warm breath brushed against her ear. Shen Yue suppressed the shame in her heart and leaned into his embrace, not getting up immediately, appearing as if she had been dazed by the impact.

Wei Jingzhou felt a soft body suddenly in his arms, still not quite processing it. He looked down.

He could only see a cute swirl of hair. The soft, fine strands looked as though they would be pleasant to touch.

And the pleasant scent that filled his nostrils when he accidentally embraced her, a scent that was milky and sweet.

He stood there dumbfounded for a couple of seconds before the girl in his arms sat up straight and moved away from his embrace.

Wei Jingzhou retracted his fingers and looked at her calmly. The girl lowered her head, her earlobes flushing crimson. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

The girl's features were as picturesque as a painting, her lips lightly bitten. As she spoke, her cheeks flushed, vibrant like peach blossoms in March.

Wei Jingzhou's eyes narrowed, his dark pupils, like those of a hunter fixated on its prey, remained unblinkingly on her face.

Trying to seduce him again?

Wei Jingzhou ignored her, feeling even more annoyed by his momentary lapse. He silently turned his gaze to the car window.

When they arrived home, Shen Yue hadn't even had a chance to say goodbye before the car drove off, leaving her to choke on dust.

Wei Jingzhou glanced in the rearview mirror, seeing the girl still standing foolishly in the wind.

A subtle curve formed on his thin lips without his conscious effort.

The winter night's wind was always biting. Shen Yue buried half her face in her scarf and ran into the villa.

---

In winter, people tend to become lazy. Shen Yue lay in her warm bed, not wanting to get up at all. But she had a class in the morning. After lingering in bed for a long time, she finally got up.

After washing up, she went downstairs to find that breakfast had already been prepared by the housekeeper.

Seeing that there was still plenty of time, Shen Yue ate slowly and carefully.

She was still thinking about the great villain.

[To tease the great villain, do I have to play with his emotions?]

Shen Yue always felt that the great villain disliked her. They had no emotional connection, so how could she play with him?

The System's electronic voice became unfathomably deep: [If you don't want to play with the great villain's emotions, then what do you want to play with?]

Shen Yue didn't understand at first.

[I didn't expect this! You look quite honest, but you play so wildly.]

Shen Yue suddenly had a bad premonition.

[Of course, if you want to play with the great villain's body, I won't object either. It's just that it might not be good for our reputation, but it's not impossible. After all, you know, I'm always on your side.]

The System specifically emphasized the word "body."

Shen Yue almost spat out her milk. She wasn't sure if it was an illusion, but she thought she detected excitement in the System's tone.

Shen Yue helplessly touched her forehead: [That's not what I meant.]

The System responded with an "I understand" tone: [I get it, I get it.]

Shen Yue: ...No, you don't.

The wind outside was strong. As soon as Shen Yue opened the door, she shivered from the cold. She wrapped her scarf tightly around herself. gusts of wind swept through, chilling to the bone, bending the pine trees east and west.

The car was at the entrance. Shen Yue jogged towards it and exhaled a puff of white mist once inside.

She rummaged through her backpack and found two packs of chocolate, given to her by Bai Bo yesterday.

She ate one pack in small bites. The entrance was slightly firm, and gradually, a rich, non-sticky aroma filled her mouth. It was slightly bitter, and the thick, sweet juice slowly flowed down her throat.

It was delicious. Shen Yue's eyes lit up.

The villa was a bit far from the school, taking about twenty minutes to drive. Shen Yue decided to buy a house near the school to make commuting easier.

Shen Yue arrived at the classroom just in time. Zhuang Wan'er had saved her a seat and waved at her as she entered.

University classes were all tedious, but Shen Yue still took diligent notes. The teacher, seeing Shen Yue's attentiveness, liked to call on her to answer questions, and she always did.

There was only one class in the morning. Shen Yue and Zhuang Wan'er had intended to go to the library, but they bumped into Bai Bo at the entrance.

More accurately, Bai Bo was standing at the entrance, waiting for her to come out.

Zhuang Wan'er linked arms with Shen Yue, her voice filled with displeasure: "Yueyue, is he looking for you again? Why is he so annoying, always pestering you."

System: [You enjoy these words and like the sense of accomplishment from seeing those boys dote on you. So, while you appear troubled on the surface, you are secretly very smug.]

The girl's eyelashes fluttered slightly, her overly long lashes appearing meek, softening her entire appearance to resemble jade. However, in her eyes, unseen by anyone, there was an air of self-satisfaction.
