Chapter 11 The Volatile Villain's Metamorphosis (11)

"My foot is injured, and it won't take up too much of your time. Please help me up."

The young girl's long eyelashes drooped slightly, concealing the annoyance in her eyes, yet she still helped the other girl up.

"Thank you."

The girl was extremely grateful.

Shen Yue patted a large yellowed snow stain on her padded jacket, which she had accidentally picked up while helping the girl. It left a faint mark.

You are angry because this new piece of clothing you bought not long ago was stained. You secretly demean this female classmate.

Seeing Shen Yue silently wiping her padded jacket, the girl observed her slightly lowered head, comparing it to a pure lotus, unsullied by the mud, yet exquisitely beautiful.

Although the young girl said nothing, the girl felt an indescribable sense of disparity.

"I'm so sorry, so sorry. How about you let me take this jacket? I'll wash it clean for you."

"This garment cannot be hand-washed or dry-cleaned," the young girl's voice was faint.

The girl became even more flustered. "Then, consider it as me buying this jacket from you."

Shen Yue raised her eyebrows and said cryptically, "The price is this much, can you afford it?"

She made a gesture indicating a number, which made the girl turn pale with shock.

The girl stammered, remaining silent.

Seeing the girl so embarrassed that she wished she could disappear into the ground, Shen Yue felt it was enough, the standard for humiliation had likely been met.

Unexpectedly, as she turned to leave, she saw a tall figure.

In the middle of winter, sporting a buzz cut, only the great villain would be so bold.

Wei Jingzhou seemed unfazed by the cold, wearing only a black hoodie and holding a cigarette, standing there for an unknown amount of time.

Shen Yue felt uneasy, wondering if the great villain had seen her humiliating the female classmate. If so, wouldn't her impression of her worsen?

Wei Jingzhou averted his gaze as Shen Yue looked over, then turned and walked away.

Shen Yue, of course, wouldn't miss the opportunity and immediately chased after him.

The man's legs were long and his strides were wide, as if deliberately trying to shake her off. He walked even faster, and Shen Yue had to exert considerable effort to catch up to him.

Walking shoulder to shoulder with the man, she smiled, her dimples shallow, her eyes curved like the bright crescent moon in the night sky.

"What a coincidence, you don't have class either? Are you heading back? Let's go back together."

The tall man looked straight ahead without glancing at her. His thin lips parted slightly, "We're not going the same way."

"I haven't even told you where I live yet, how do you know we're not going the same way?"

Shen Yue, with a thick skin, followed behind the great villain, enduring the inexplicable awkwardness.

A few pinecones on the pine tree swayed erratically in the wind. Shen Yue followed closely, not knowing how to converse well, casually making random small talk.

Perhaps he was annoyed by her chatter, so he stopped. His shoulders were broad, and the simple black hoodie looked very stylish on him.

Wei Jingzhou's face was stern. He glanced sideways and said, "Why are you always following me around? Are we close?"

Shen Yue blinked her eyes. She knew this wouldn't work, so she had to take the initiative. Suppressing her shame, she said, "We'll get closer if we interact more."

As she said this, she hardly dared to look into the man's sharp eyes.

She bit her lip and shyly made an invitation, "Wei Jingzhou, have you eaten yet? Let's eat together."

Her eyelids drooped with feigned shyness, her snow-white neck flushed pink, as beautiful as peach blossoms in March.

Wei Jingzhou was stunned for a moment. After reacting, his forehead twitched, and his face flushed from red to pale. He sneered, becoming unfathomable.

"Are you trying to seduce me?"

Shen Yue hadn't expected the man to ask that, and she quickly shook her head, "I didn't..."

"Still saying you didn't."

With an arrogant aura, the exceptionally handsome man stepped closer. Shen Yue suppressed the urge to retreat. She only reached his shoulder, and had to crane her neck to look at him.

"Seeing those men mesmerized by you, do you feel accomplished?"

A cold and malicious statement, spoken without mercy.

He still held the unsmoked cigarette in his hand, his eyelids slightly lowered, looking down at the person before him.

"Since you dare to set your sights on me, you have quite a lot of nerve."

The girl's eyes, as radiant as stars, were clouded with a layer of mist. A hint of grievance appeared in her eyes. She stared at him with red eyes, as if he had done something terribly wrong.

Her expression, as if she would cry any second, was incredibly pitiable, making one want to hold her and comfort her, not letting her suffer any injustice. "What are you talking about..."

But this did not soften Wei Jingzhou. He lowered his head and exhaled a puff of smoke towards Shen Yue's face, "Put away your little schemes."

"I don't care what you want to do, you just need to know one thing: don't provoke me, and preferably don't play too many tricks on me." His tone was indifferent and slightly impatient.

The girl's eyes were red, her lips pale. Tears rolled down with her intermittent sobs. Her long eyelashes were like butterflies against the light, casting a shadow on her face.

"How... how can you say that to me? I didn't do anything wrong."

Her voice was soft, with a pitiful cry.

Wei Jingzhou's personality was indeed unpleasant, and he never pretended otherwise. He revealed his worst temper, being harsh and malicious.

Seeing the girl's pitiful state of crying, Wei Jingzhou became slightly more interested.

"Is there anything I said that was wrong?"

His jawline was exceptionally prominent and sharp. The curve of his thin lips was cold and merciless.

"Don't think I don't know what you're thinking. I'm not Bai Bo, your tricks won't work on me."

The harsh, unpleasant words pierced the girl's heart like poisoned needles. Her slender, dense eyelashes trembled like a broken butterfly. Her pale lips were tightly pressed together, forming an awkward and uncomfortable arc.

A crystal-clear tear slid onto her lip, and with a slight pursing, it spread.

Wei Jingzhou happened to glance at it, and a tingling sensation spread through his chest, like a tiny electric current.

His fingertips trembled. He forced himself to look away, took a deep drag of his cigarette, and suppressed that inexplicable heat.

Looking at the tears, he felt inexplicably annoyed.

"I've barely said a couple of things to you, why are you crying? What else can you do besides playing the victim?"

The man spoke sharp and cruel words, yet his eyes kept straying towards the girl, completely against his will.

He also couldn't help but say some malicious things.

"If you're going to cry, cry louder. And let everyone see how shamelessly you're clinging to me."

Shen Yue had never been scolded so directly. Although what the great villain said wasn't entirely wrong, hearing it in such a cruel tone made her feel very upset.
