Chapter 72 The Temperamental Villain's Transformation (72)

"No, no, Yueyue, I'll definitely go with you. How could I possibly let you go alone? It's just about this child..."

A hint of darkness flashed in the man's eyes, his tone pausing slightly before he continued in a gentle voice.

"I think we're still too young... I haven't quite accepted that we've suddenly got a child..."

The girl was wearing loose loungewear. She lowered her head, her clothes sliding down slightly to reveal a bit of her smooth, fair neck and shoulders. Her long hair, already reaching her waist, cascaded down, soft and captivating.

Wei Jingzhou's expression grew even more amiable, his voice becoming more seductive. "I don't think either of us is ready. Let's talk about the child in a few years."

Shen Yue put down her chopsticks but didn't look up, her voice faint.

"So, you don't want this child."

Wei Jingzhou hastily explained, "It's not that I don't want it, it's just that I think it's too soon..."

With a "bang," the girl forcefully placed her chopsticks on the table, looking up at the man. Her beautiful eyes were filled with disappointment in the person before her.

"You just don't want it! Wei Jingzhou, I never expected you to be such an irresponsible person. I'm definitely having this child. If you don't like it, then I'll leave, so I don't offend your eyes."

After saying this, Shen Yue lost her appetite and got up to go upstairs to the bedroom.

Wei Jingzhou tried to grab the girl's hand, but she violently shook him off.

The dishes on the table were still steaming. The warm and harmonious atmosphere from moments ago had shattered like a pricked bubble.

The man stood frozen, his face ashen, his expression dark and gloomy.

The bedroom light had been off for a while, but the girl was still awake, angered by the man. The words spoken at the dinner table made her chest feel tight, as if she couldn't breathe.

In the darkness, her eyes involuntarily welled up with tears of grievance. She cursed the man silently in her heart.

The bedside dipped, and the girl, lost in her sorrow, only slowly came back to her senses. Before she could even utter a sound to stop him, she was embraced by a pair of strong, firm arms, her back pressed against a burning, hard chest.

She could hear the man's breathing, the warm air misting her neck, ticklish like a feather.

Shen Yue remained silent, trying her best to pry his arms away, not wanting him to hold her at all.

"Yueyue."

The man's sexy baritone voice deliberately deepened, a sincere, low apology.

"I was wrong. I shouldn't have said that. I'll accompany you to the hospital tomorrow, okay?"

Shen Yue let out a cold snort upon hearing this and said sarcastically,

"You don't need to accompany me. I'm afraid I'll offend your eyes."

The man's arms tightened, and then he rolled over, pulling the girl with him. They faced each other, their silhouettes barely discernible in the darkness.

Shen Yue simply closed her eyes, unwilling to even look at him.

The rough pad of his thumb gently caressed the corners of her eyes, and Wei Jingzhou kissed her lips.

"Don't say things you don't mean. I was actually just afraid you'd suffer. After all, giving birth is so painful, and Yueyue, you're so afraid of pain. How could I bear it?"

He spoke with evident distress, his voice filled with concern and sadness.

Shen Yue was visibly moved. She opened her eyes and, after a moment of silence, asked, "Is that really what you think? You're just afraid I'll be in pain?"

Wei Jingzhou doted on her, rubbing against her neck, his hot breath greedily seeking entry into the collar of her clothes.

In the darkness, neither could see the other's expression. Shen Yue could only guess his feelings from his voice.

"I really am afraid you'll be in pain, but if you really like it, I will certainly support you."

The girl looked thin, but she was soft and fragrant in his arms, making him reluctant to let her go.

Though his voice sounded gentle and caring, only he knew his true thoughts.

A large part of the girl's anger had already dissipated. She reached out and touched the man's face, saying earnestly, "I'm not afraid of pain. This child is also a life, and I don't want to give up."

Wei Jingzhou gazed silently into the girl's eyes, which were filled with a deep warmth, sparkling like a galaxy.

Mesmerized, he leaned in and bit her soft lip.

After teasing her until her eyes were red, he slightly released her.

Faint moonlight streamed in. The man looked at the girl and instinctively uttered the words he truly wanted to say.

"Yueyue, I love you."

I love you so much I want to dig out my heart and give it to you.

The girl smiled, kissed his forehead, and that was her response.

---

After that, Wei Jingzhou never said such things again. In fact, he made time to personally take care of Shen Yue, accompanying her on walks, watching movies together, and sleeping in each other's arms every night. They seemed to have returned to their deepest emotional state.

Wei Jingzhou was eager to cherish her, wanting to feed her himself even when she ate.

Annoyed by his excessive affection, Shen Yue blushed and indignantly snatched the chopsticks from his hand.

"I can eat by myself. I still have hands."

The man seemed regretful, yet found the girl's reaction endearing, making him want to scoop her up and kiss her again and again.

In the evening, Shen Yue sat on the bed reading a book. Wei Jingzhou brought over a cup of milk.

Every night, Wei Jingzhou would prepare a cup of milk for her, and Shen Yue didn't refuse it.

However, she had eaten a bit too much that evening, and looking at the milk made her feel nauseous.

She gazed at the man with hopeful, blinking eyes, trying to use her charm to avoid the milk this time.

"Jingzhou, I'm so full. I don't want to drink it."

The man, who had always doted on her, was unusually firm this time. He stroked her head, his tone leaving no room for argument.

"Be good, you need to nourish yourself. You've lost so much weight these past few days."

Seeing that she couldn't possibly avoid it, Shen Yue took the milk from his hand, her delicate face contorted in a grimace.

She drank it little by little like a kitten, her long, thick eyelashes drooping. A trace of milky white liquid stained her red upper lip.

Wei Jingzhou's heart skipped a beat. After watching the girl finish, he leaned down and licked the milk from the corner of her mouth.

---

As the Lunar New Year approached, Shen Yue's parents were very busy and rarely returned home. Even during the holidays, they would only make brief phone calls. She doubted they would have much of a reaction if they knew their daughter was pregnant.

Shen Yue also had no intention of telling her parents.

The Spring Festival was spent by Shen Yue and Wei Jingzhou alone. The villa was decorated with couplets and red lanterns, all personally hung by Wei Jingzhou while Shen Yue watched from the side.

The New Year's Eve dinner was also personally cooked by Wei Jingzhou, resulting in a lavish spread.

Shen Yue, hugging a cushion, propped her chin on her hands and watched the Spring Festival Gala.

The man, wearing a pink apron, beckoned to the girl.

"Yueyue, come and eat."
