"Where did you go?"
His words were filled with worry and nervousness.
Shen Yue tugged at her wrist, but it remained in his grasp. She had no choice but to let him lead her and get straight to the point.
"What happened?"
Xuan Cheng's face displayed a rare seriousness. He said, "Let's discuss it back in the main hall."
Xuan Cheng's peripheral vision caught sight of the small, lush green potted plant Shen Yue was holding, which seemed out of place with her. He was a little stunned. "What is this?"
Shen Yue flipped her hand, and the potted plant vanished. She withdrew her wrist and walked ahead.
"It's nothing new."
The elders from various peaks had already gathered in the main hall. Xin Xi's eyes lit up when she saw the figure in white. "Senior Brother."
Her exclamation drew everyone's gaze, and they respectfully bowed. "Welcome, Sect Leader."
Shen Yue waved her hand, her white robes fluttering. "No need for formalities."
Taking her seat, Shen Yue tilted her head slightly, her features like ice and jade, exuding aloofness and coldness.
She was asking Xin Xi.
"What happened?"
Xin Xi's expression was not good. She furrowed her brow tightly, her face slightly pale. "Elder Yue Xing observed the celestial phenomena a few nights ago and cast a divination. The result was... extremely ominous."
Shen Yue vaguely sensed something.
Xin Xi continued, "Elder Yue Xing said that Qingyun Sect harbors a person destined for great misfortune, a reincarnation of a demon god. Rumor has it that upon the demon god's descent, there will be widespread destruction and suffering. It is a great calamity for Qingyun Sect, and we must find this person. Before the demon god becomes too powerful, we must eliminate any future trouble."
As soon as the words fell, a long silence ensued.
Xin Xi sensed something was amiss and called out softly to the white-clad, blindfolded figure.
"Senior Brother..."
"Senior Brother!" The two words were spoken with slightly more emphasis.
Shen Yue's expression flickered with momentary confusion before she came back to her senses. She then tightened her grip on the silk ribbon in her hand and asked, "Did Elder Yue Xing divine the person's whereabouts?"
Xin Xi regretfully shook her head. "No, it only stated that the person is within Qingyun Sect."
Shen Yue nodded and said nothing further.
Almost as soon as this prophecy was made, all the elders took it extremely seriously. They were determined to find the demon god and crush it in its infancy.
They bickered and debated where in Qingyun Sect the demon god might be. Shen Yue, however, remained utterly silent. Her complexion was extremely pale, and her serene expression was like the eternal snow on a high peak, her eyes betraying no emotion.
By the time the discussions concluded, a day had passed.
Shen Yue returned to Qingxin Hall and, with a display of spiritual power, the potted plant reappeared in her hand.
She touched it twice and discovered that the small sprout had grown taller and even bore fruit.
Shen Yue asked the system: [Is this fruit the medicine that can bring people back from the dead?]
System: [Indeed.]
Shen Yue pondered for a moment and decided to bring the potted plant to Elder Ye.
Elder Ye was engrossed in studying ancient texts, which contained records of miraculous and absurd medicinal herbs and stories.
Hearing footsteps, he didn't even lift his head. "Didn't I tell you all that no one is allowed to disturb me?"
"It's me."
The clear and cold voice was highly recognizable.
Elder Ye looked up in surprise. "You're back so soon? Have you found your resurrection medicine?"
Shen Yue remained silent and placed the potted plant before Elder Ye.
Elder Ye stared blankly at the ordinary potted plant. Just as he was about to ask Shen Yue what she meant, his expression changed when he saw the fruit on the branches.
The fruit was small and a vibrant red, emanating an eerie glow like blood.
"You, you, you," Elder Ye stammered excitedly, his eyes shining as if he had discovered a great treasure. "You actually found it!"
Shen Yue asked, "Can this fruit bring people back to life?"
Elder Ye twitched his beard, his eyes almost glued to the potted plant. "The one in this pot is not ordinary wild grass or fruit, but the Fruit of Immortality. Those who consume it can achieve eternal life and resurrection. However, very few people have seen it firsthand, and it has become a legend, recorded in ancient texts."
Shen Yue, clad in a long white robe, her eyes clear, her figure slightly swaying, murmured, "Immortality..."
This fruit was also named Immortality.
Elder Ye wanted to examine it more closely, but Shen Yue snatched it away without mercy. Elder Ye could only watch helplessly as Shen Yue left without a word.

The peach blossoms in Qingxin Hall had bloomed. The star-like buds swayed joyfully in the gentle breeze on a few branches. A flurry of red petals descended, the pink buds resembling small red pearls adorning the branches, trembling in the breeze.
Shen Yue stood under the peach tree holding the potted plant, light pink petals clinging to her hair and white robe.
Gradually, she heard footsteps approaching from afar, hurried and rapid, as if someone was running.
A man in white slowed down as he spotted the figure beneath the peach tree.
The white-clad, blindfolded figure turned around. The warm sunlight illuminated her snow-white attire. She remained aloof and noble, her features exquisitely drawn.
Petals fell onto her hair, casting a soft glow on her pale, fair face.
Perhaps it was the pinkness of the peach blossoms, or the warmth of the sun, but Shen Yue's jade-like features appeared exceptionally gentle at this moment.
She knew who the person before her was. The sound of the man's breath, struggling to calm down, reached her ears. A faint curve appeared at the corner of her lips, her dimples shallow. "It's been a long time, have you forgotten to even call me Master?"
Rong Hua was lost in that smile, an indescribable feeling welling up in his heart.
The past coldness and gloom seemed to have dissipated in this gentle warmth, no longer able to stir any feeling.
That faint, soft smile and the tender pink petals seemed to quietly reflect in the man's cold heart lake at this moment, flickering with a faint warmth.
His hoarse voice carried an uncharacteristic nervousness that even he was unaware of.
"Master."
It seemed that a long reunion could truly erase unpleasant memories. Even if only for this moment, it was filled with warmth.
After a long separation, the man's greedy and insatiable gaze was impossible to conceal, a fervent intensity as naked as a hungry wolf staring at its prey.
Shen Yue, with her broad heart, didn't notice anything amiss and handed the potted plant to him.
"Pick the fruit and brew it into a decoction for Miss Yin to drink."
The man's pupils trembled slightly. Upon hearing this, he first reacted with disbelief, his eyes widening as he looked at the seemingly ordinary fruit.
He hadn't expected that Shen Yue had gone out for so long merely to find the resurrection medicine.
She could fulfill all his wishes and desires, and tolerate him unconditionally, just because of the words he had spoken. And because he refused to take medicine, she brought him the most precious resurrection medicine in the world.
