Shen Yue looked intently at the man's face, not missing a single expression, but unfortunately, the man was a master of disguise. Shen Yue could not discern anything amiss, so she suppressed her doubts and asked no further questions.
Xie Jiangsheng appeared to be a restrained and refined person, but for some reason, he always acted completely opposite when in front of Shen Yue.
It was as if he were a patient with skin hunger, wanting to cling to her at all times, like a clingy child.
Although Shen Yue found it helpless, as the time they spent together grew longer, she too found herself unable to extricate herself from being immersed in Xie Jiangsheng's affectionate and gentle gaze.
No woman would reject such an outstanding man, let alone one who was so gentle.
Yet, Shen Yue always felt as if she were treading on clouds, soft and yielding, as if she might stumble and fall at any moment.
That sense of emptiness constantly enveloped her, making her desire to recover her memories even more intensely.
Those lost memories occasionally flashed in her dreams, their reality blurred, making it impossible for her to distinguish.
But she could vaguely sense that in her dreams, she loved someone deeply, to the point of madness, of frenzy, to a distorted degree that was unlike herself, frightening even to her.
She had an intuition that the man in her dreams must be Xie Jiangsheng.
Because only when she saw Xie Jiangsheng did she feel a sense of peace.
Only Xie Jiangsheng could provide that.
As for her family...
The thought brought a pang of sadness and bitterness to her heart. Shen Yue buried her face in Xie Jiangsheng's neck, his scent filling her senses. She hid her reddening eyes from him, her voice muffled and soft, "I want to recover my memories."
Xie Jiangsheng seemed to pause for a moment, then casually said, "It's best to go with the flow. You can't rush these things."
The sound of Xie Jiangsheng's steady, powerful heartbeat was in her ears. Shen Yue weakly hummed in response.
Xie Jiangsheng lifted her chin and kissed her passionately, only pulling away slightly when Shen Yue's eyes began to glisten with tears.
Without his glasses, his eyes stared directly at Shen Yue. The calm, gentle depths of his eyes seemed to hold something about to break free.
For some reason, Shen Yue was always a little unaccustomed to Xie Jiangsheng without his glasses; it made him feel a bit like a stranger.
Xie Jiangsheng's eyes were dark and unreadable, but his thin lips curved into a faint smile. "Don't always overthink things. Aren't we doing well now? What's past is past; there's no need to dwell on it."
Shen Yue opened her mouth, wanting to ask something, but when her gaze met the man's deep, dark eyes, she had to swallow her questions and obediently nodded.
"Such a good girl." He leaned in again to kiss her, as if rewarding her for her obedience.
Shen Yue habitually closed her eyes when kissing, but at this moment, her mind was wandering, filled with unease.
When she inadvertently opened her eyes, she met the man's gaze. It was hot and intense, making her unable to look directly at him, shrouded in a gloom that sent shivers down her spine, not missing a single reaction or expression on her face.
Shen Yue even had a frightening premonition, but soon Xie Jiangsheng returned to his usual demeanor, as if the preceding moment had been a mere illusion.
Soon, Shen Yue was distracted by something else, a hint of helplessness in her voice, "Mr. Xie, I should go make dinner."
Xie Jiangsheng concealed all his emotions and kissed Shen Yue's lips, a smile playing in his dark, moist eyes. "But what can be done? Right now, I only want to eat you."
Shen Yue was easily flustered. Xie Jiangsheng was not angered when she pushed him away; instead, he pulled her into his arms, his deep, resonant voice laced with a coaxing tone. "Alright, anything else is fine, but I really don't want to eat beef noodles anymore."
The matter of the beef noodles stemmed from a few days prior when Shen Yue had returned home very late from her night shift. Upon arriving at the apartment, she was too tired to do anything else and simply made a bowl of beef noodles. Xie Jiangsheng had eaten beef noodles for several consecutive days. Shen Yue's cooking skills were not very good to begin with, and eating the same dish for days had almost made Xie Jiangsheng sick of it, giving him a phobia of beef noodles.
Shen Yue pretended to ponder for a moment. "Mr. Xie, are you tired of them?"
"No," Xie Jiangsheng said, inhaling Shen Yue's hair with a hint of intoxication. "If you like to eat them, then I can too."
Shen Yue looked at him gently and gave him a fleeting kiss. "Okay."
Xie Jiangsheng's eyes sparkled. He returned her kiss, his voice magnetic and soft, his eyes seeming to overflow with deep affection. "I think I'm falling for you more and more."
When he said this, his voice carried a hint of a laugh, as if he were joking.
In the end, Shen Yue still cooked two bowls of noodles. She truly wasn't skilled at cooking, and after fumbling through it, she managed to cook noodles, but the taste was still not great.
Although it was still noodles, it wasn't beef noodles, but egg noodles.
Shen Yue had originally wanted to fry the egg into a heart shape, but unfortunately, she failed, and it turned out strangely. However, Xie Jiangsheng ate it all.

Shen Yue thought that after that incident, Lu Jin would no longer bother her, but she never expected that instead of restraining himself, he would become increasingly presumptuous.
He ordered coffee and specifically requested Shen Yue to serve him. Perhaps the manager knew of Lu Jin's status and dared not neglect him, so he pulled Shen Yue aside and specifically instructed her to serve Lu Jin well.
Shen Yue was reluctant but had no choice, so she walked over.
Lu Jin, with his arms crossed, looked at Shen Yue with a half-smile.
Shen Yue suddenly felt like she was being stared at by a venomous snake.
She suppressed the urge to flee desperately, lowered her head, revealing her snow-white and delicate nape, her voice soft and husky, "Mr. Lu, do you have any instructions?"
Lu Jin immediately chuckled, licked his lips with his tongue, and gestured with his chin to the seat opposite him, inviting Shen Yue to sit down and talk.
Shen Yue stood still, formal and precise. "Please, just tell me."
The use of "you" (您) at every turn immediately created a distance between them.
Lu Jin's smile vanished, and he looked at Shen Yue with a gloomy expression.
Perhaps no one had ever dared to speak to him like that before, causing Lu Jin to fall into a long silence.
After drinking a cup of bitter coffee, Lu Jin's expression returned to normal, and he said indifferently, "Yueyue, are you still going to walk down the same old path?"
Shen Yue paused, somewhat confused by his words.
Lu Jin's deep eyes stared intently at Shen Yue. Her snow-white skin exuded a delicate luster under the golden sunlight. Her neatly arranged white shirt and knee-length, fitted skirt revealed slender legs exposed to the air.
