Chapter 26 Life
Bang! Bang, bang, bang!
Fireworks bloomed in the night sky, illuminating the entire Brooklyn. People stopped in their tracks, looking up at this unprecedented spectacle.

"So beautiful! I've never seen so many fireworks," one passerby exclaimed.

"Who is celebrating what? Such a grand fireworks display isn't something you see every day," another curious pedestrian asked.

At that moment, a man in a suit stepped out from the crowd and waved to everyone.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming here tonight to watch our fireworks display. I am James Wilson, the Borough President of Brooklyn. Today is my 60th birthday. To celebrate this important day, I have specially prepared this grand fireworks show for everyone."

Loud applause and cheers erupted from the crowd. Everyone was genuinely happy for the Borough President's birthday.

James Wilson continued, "Today is not only my birthday, but also the 20th anniversary of my term as Borough President. In the past 20 years, I have been committed to making due contributions to this city, striving to improve the quality of life for residents. I know there is still a lot of work to be done, but I will continue to work hard for the development of Brooklyn."

"Our city is constantly progressing, and this is inseparable from the support and participation of every resident. Let us toast to the bright future of Brooklyn!"

The crowd burst into enthusiastic applause again. James Wilson smiled and waved to everyone, then walked back into the crowd.

At this moment, another gorgeous firework bloomed in the sky, illuminating the entire night. People exclaimed in admiration, appreciating this beautiful sight.

An old woman whispered to her husband beside her, "Look at these fireworks, how beautiful they are. They are like life, so colorful and fleeting. We must cherish everything before us and live well."

The husband nodded, took his wife's hand, and the two quietly appreciated the fireworks before them.

Under the glow of the fireworks, people's faces were filled with joy and contentment. At this moment, everyone forgot the worries of life and only immersed themselves in the beautiful scene before them.

Just then, a young man in sportswear stepped out from the crowd and waved to everyone.

"Hello everyone, I am James Wilson's son, Jack. I am very happy to be able to celebrate my father's birthday with everyone."

Jack paused and continued, "My father is a very outstanding Borough President. He has been making huge contributions to this city. But more importantly, he is a very good father. He has taught me a lot about how to conduct myself in the world, and made me understand that I must cherish everything before me and strive to realize my dreams."

"Today, I would like to represent my whole family to wish my dear father a happy birthday!" Jack said, his eyes shining with relief.

The crowd burst into enthusiastic applause and cheers again. James Wilson stepped forward and hugged his son tightly. Deep father-son affection was revealed in both of their eyes.

"Thank you, son. This is the best birthday gift I have ever received," James said softly.

At this moment, a woman in an elegant dress also stepped out from the crowd.

"Happy birthday, dear!" She walked up to James and gently kissed him on the cheek.

"Mary, my love, thank you," James said, holding his wife's hand. The two looked at each other and smiled.

At this moment, James felt extremely happy and content in his heart. He had a warm family and could contribute to this city. This was the greatest happiness in his life.

Just at this moment, another gorgeous firework bloomed in the sky, illuminating the entire night. People once again exclaimed in admiration, appreciating the beautiful sight.

James looked around at the people gathered together, his heart filled with gratitude and hope. He knew that as long as everyone worked together, Brooklyn would definitely become even better.

"Let us toast to the bright future of Brooklyn!" James said loudly.

The crowd burst into enthusiastic applause and cheers again, everyone raising their glasses to celebrate this beautiful night.

Under the glow of the fireworks, James felt the meaning and value of life. He was determined to continue to work hard for the development of this city, so that more people could find happiness and contentment here.

At this moment, James felt that his life had reached a new height. He looked forward to the challenges and opportunities of the future, believing that as long as he persevered, he would definitely be able to create an even better tomorrow.

Just at the moment when the fireworks bloomed, James suddenly felt a burst of dizziness. He supported his wife beside him and whispered, "Honey, I seem to be feeling a little unwell."

Mary immediately asked with concern, "What's wrong, dear? Are you too tired?"

James shook his head. "No, I think it might be because I was too excited just now. But it's nothing serious. I think I'll be fine after a rest."

As he spoke, James winked at his son Jack, signaling him to come over.

"Son, I want to leave the crowd for a while to rest. Can you help me take care of things here?"

Jack immediately nodded. "No problem, Dad. You go and rest first. I'll take care of everything here."

James gratefully patted his son on the shoulder, then slowly walked to a bench on the side with his wife's support and sat down.

Sitting on the bench, James took a deep breath. This day had indeed been a bit too exciting for him. From the morning, he had been busy preparing for this grand fireworks celebration, and now that it was finally over, he could finally rest for a while.

"How are you feeling, dear?" Mary asked with concern, gently holding her husband's hand.

James smiled and said, "I'm fine, just a little tired. This day was so wonderful. I'm really proud that I was able to contribute to this city."

Mary nodded. "Yes, you did a great job. The children and I are all proud of you."

James sighed softly. "I know there's still a lot of work to do, but I'll keep trying. I hope I can bring more changes and progress to this city."

"I believe you can do it," Mary said gently. "You've always been a brave and upright person. I'm proud of you."

James held his wife's hand, and the two looked at each other and smiled. At this moment, he felt an unprecedented sense of peace and contentment in his heart.

Just at this moment, fireworks bloomed again in the night sky, illuminating the entire Brooklyn. James looked up, his heart filled with hope and anticipation for the future.
