Chapter 1 Leaving the Mountain

The Kunlun Mountains.

A storm raged, with thunder and lightning.

Xia Feng, deep within the Kunlun Mountains, opened his eyes. He had been in seclusion within a barrier for fifty years, and fifty years inside was equivalent to five years outside.

Five years ago, he had saved the planet on which humanity survived by his own power.

Time seemed to rewind to five years ago, when a colossal meteorite from outer space was rapidly hurtling towards the planet.

Countries were deliberating how to resolve this grave crisis. All high-tech weapons had been deployed, yet none could shatter the massive meteorite.

Just as everyone believed humanity might face extinction, Xia Feng stepped forward and intercepted the meteorite, causing the Nascent Soul within him to dissipate from the immense impact.

As Xia Feng thought he was about to perish, the Kunlun Mountains suddenly exerted a pull, drawing him in.

This incident was what made the major powers of the world recognize the mystery of China.

While heads of state expressed their gratitude to Xia Feng, they also began to regard China with awe.

From then on, the Kunlun Mountains became a forbidden zone for China, constantly guarded by military personnel, as the Chinese leadership knew he was there.

Few knew of this heroic feat; only some heads of state were aware. After all, it was too astonishing to be widely disseminated. Consequently, all official government statements declared that the meteorite had been destroyed by a Chinese missile.

On the Kunlun Mountains, a figure shot into the sky. Raindrops and lightning seemed to fear him, parting to avoid him. The figure vanished from the Kunlun Mountains like a bolt of lightning.

"Quickly report to the superiors, he has come out of seclusion!" the Kunlun Mountain garrison said anxiously.

Beijing!

In a magnificent courtyard house, several top leaders of China gathered: Elder Huang, Elder Zhou, Elder Li, and Elder Feng.

Upon receiving the news, they immediately convened an emergency meeting.

"We've just received word that he has emerged from seclusion," Elder Huang said with authority.

As soon as he spoke, everyone knew who "he" was.

"Xia Feng is the savior, and he is the pride of our China. His existence cannot be defined by ordinary standards. Regardless of what he does after emerging from seclusion, we should give him our full support," Elder Li mused.

"What if he violates laws and creates chaos?" Elder Feng asked worriedly.

"Xia Feng has reached a point where the state's machinery cannot apprehend him. If he truly breaks the law and causes chaos, the nation will be helpless."

"Old Fourth, I think you are worrying unnecessarily. If he truly intended to do such things, he would not have sacrificed himself to save all of humanity five years ago," Elder Li chuckled.

"Enough talk. Regardless, he is our China's pride and a person of China. If he has any needs, China will assist him with all its might."

Elder Huang delivered the final verdict, deciding not to disturb Xia Feng for now. If Xia Feng required their assistance, they would offer their utmost support.

Modu.

The largest metropolis in China, it was known as both a paradise on Earth and a devil's city.

Being able to afford a home here meant being among the elite.

Xia Feng leaped from the Kunlun Mountains and arrived above Modu. His own biological sister resided in this city.

Xia Feng's parents were also cultivators. Xia Feng's sister was eight years younger than him and lacked the talent for cultivation. Their parents left her in the city. After Xia Feng's parents failed in their pursuit of immortality and perished, Xia Feng completely lost contact with Xia Lin.

No one knew he had a younger sister.

Xia Feng arrived at the entrance of the police station. It was already nine o'clock in the evening, and there were few officers on duty.

"Sir, who are you looking for?" the gatekeeper, an old police officer, asked Xia Feng.

"Hello, I've come to ask for your help. I lost touch with my sister many years ago, and I'd like to ask for your assistance in finding her exact location," Xia Feng said, his handsome face breaking into a sun-like smile.

The old police officer sighed inwardly, thinking, "A polite young man."

However, his long hair and long robes, such unusual attire, surprised the officer.

"Young man, the administrative departments are already closed. Please come back tomorrow," the old police officer patiently advised, seeing Xia Feng's politeness.

"Then please help me report to the superiors. Tell them I'm from Kunlun Mountain. They'll know and help me," Xia Feng continued with a smile.

For some reason, the old police officer felt a magical pull towards Xia Feng's words and agreed to it under some irresistible impulse.

The old police officer's authority was limited, and he could only contact the deputy director on duty.

The deputy director scolded the old police officer after hearing this and hung up the phone. Just as the deputy director dismissed it, a call came from a superior leader.

"Director Wang, hello, hello."

"There's a directive from above. If there's a young man around 30 years old claiming to be from Kunlun Mountain, all his requests must be fully accommodated."

Director Wang was bewildered by this order late at night. He could only make calls to all police stations in Modu one by one.

Not only him, but similar situations were occurring across the country.

The deputy director was stunned upon hearing this. Coincidentally, he had just received a call from the gatekeeper about this very person.

"Director Wang, I have indeed encountered him. He's outside the police station right now," the deputy director said quickly.

"All requests must be fully accommodated. If there are any difficulties, report them immediately without delay," Director Wang commanded sternly.

After finishing the call, Director Wang immediately reported this news upwards.

The deputy director dared not delay and rushed out to escort Xia Feng in, personally accompanying Xia Feng to search for Xia Lin's residence.

After sifting through thousands of people with the same name, five individuals who met the criteria were identified. The deputy director personally drove Xia Feng to find them.

Finally, Xia Lin was found in a single apartment located beyond Modu's 6th Ring Road.

Seeing the police at her door through the peephole, Xia Lin hesitated before opening it. Her eyes fell upon a man with flowing long hair and dressed in long robes, while the police officer smiled at her.

"What can I help you with?" Xia Lin asked curiously.

"Lin'er." Xia Feng looked at Xia Lin with a tender expression.

She had grown up, grown taller, and her appearance had changed considerably.

Xia Lin looked closely and realized it was her brother, Xia Feng! The siblings hadn't seen each other for seven or eight years. Combined with his long hair and robes, Xia Lin hadn't recognized him at first. Only when Xia Feng called out did she realize.

"Brother." Xia Lin burst into tears and rushed forward to embrace Xia Feng, her tears wetting his long robes.

"I'm back," Xia Feng said, patting Xia Lin's shoulder to comfort her.

Seeing his task completed, the deputy director bid farewell to Xia Feng.

Xia Lin led Xia Feng into her room. She was a streamer who earned a living by broadcasting daily. She had forgotten to close her stream when she went to open the door.

Suddenly, Xia Feng, with his flowing long hair and long robes, appeared in Xia Lin's live stream. Moreover, his incredibly handsome face, combined with his unique aura, made him appear exceptionally ethereal.

Xia Lin's Live Stream:

Netizen 18: Nani? Where did this long-haired immortal come from?

Netizen 62: Holy crap, Lin'er has hidden a handsome man.

Netizen 133: Wow... so handsome, even I, a man, am smitten.

Netizen 64: Don't fight over him, he's mine, so handsome, so manly.

Netizen 5: A man with such long hair, truly a sissy, confirmed.

Netizen 29: The person above is an idiot.

Netizen 11: The person above is an idiot.

Netizen: +1
