Chapter 18 Retreat Three Stations

Mu Yinyin picked up the phone. Before she could speak, a suave voice came through.

"How is it, baby, all done?"

Wan Yu said this while adjusting her own big waves.

However, upon suddenly hearing a sigh from the other side, she frowned. "What's going on? What's with the sigh?"

Wan Yu was currently in the driver's seat. She had already started the engine and was ready to drive, but Mu Yinyin's state made her pause all her actions.

Mu Yinyin couldn't help but sigh again, then said softly, "On my way today, I had to deal with something unexpectedly. I was late, and Fu Siye thought I was playing tricks and didn't wait for me anymore."

"Oh, this...?" Wan Yu was a little surprised, but after a pause, she spoke again, "Did you try to find him again?"

"I did. He was very angry, thinking I was scheming. He thought that even if I went to him, I might not really get divorced, so he lost patience and didn't come to the Civil Affairs Bureau, even though I sent him a video of myself at the bureau."

"It didn't work?" Wan Yu put a hand to her forehead, feeling a headache coming on.

Although Mu Yinyin hadn't used such tactics before, she had always bothered Fu Siye and asked him to come home just to get closer to him. Perhaps Fu Siye was truly fed up with her.

Mu Yinyin tugged at her lips, a desolate smile playing on them. "I've tried every method I could, but he wouldn't come."

"How can this be! If he doesn't come, your engagement will continue, and how can I introduce you to a new husband if it's not settled?" Wan Yu's voice carried a hint of displeasure.

Mu Yinyin: "..."

Her head started to hurt again.

Wan Yu frowned with some irritation. "Dragging this out isn't a solution either. How about you go to his company to find him?"

Mu Yinyin pursed her lips slightly. "I won't go today. Let's talk about it another day."

"How can that be?" Wan Yu frowned, looking a bit worried. "Now, whenever I see him with that white lotus, it annoys me. Can you continue to tolerate it?"

Mu Yinyin rubbed her temples, looking somewhat helpless. "It's my fault for having something come up today. I'll get the divorce done as soon as possible."

Wan Yu smacked her lips, sounding a bit disheartened. "Sigh, do it as soon as possible. Quickly dump him and don't let him hold you back. There are many good men waiting. Don't let him continue to affect your youth."

Wan Yu emphasized the word "youth."

Mu Yinyin found herself almost laughing and crying at the same time. "Alright, alright, I know. I don't want to drag it out either, I'll be quick."

"So, any plans for tonight? Want to go out and meet some guys?"

Mu Yinyin: "..."

Sister Wan's conversations always led back to guys. How badly she wanted to find her another good match.

She said helplessly, "No, I have to welcome two friends tonight. Another day, okay?"

"Two? A boy and a girl?!" Wan Yu only cared about this crucial detail.

Mu Yinyin sighed softly. "One boy and one girl."

"Huh? Who's the boy? Is there hope?" Wan Yu continued to chatter. "You know, you have to fight for it! No, you have to learn not to refuse others, okay? You're getting a divorce anyway, the agreement is signed, so it's no different from being single. You're still young, you can't always be alone, you know?"

Mu Yinyin couldn't help but chuckle. "You're talking about me? What about you?"

"Me? I just haven't met the right one yet. Besides, even if I'm not married, look at me, sister. Do I lack men? Aren't I just filtering through them one by one?"

As Wan Yu spoke, she let out a light laugh. Her casual and unrestrained demeanor was likely something Mu Yinyin would never learn.

After all, Wan Yu had a lot of admirers. She always liked younger guys, the "fresh meat," and there was always a stream of handsome young men around her.

Mu Yinyin rubbed her temples again, feeling a headache. "I'll go to the company first. I'll contact you later."

"Go on then. Since you want to get back on track, take it step by step. I'll call you if anything comes up."

"Don't ask me about matchmaking."

"No problem." Wan Yu had just said it when she realized something was wrong and immediately exclaimed, "What!? How can that be! If there are any guys, I, your sister, will think of you! But, if I have to say, Lu Sinian is quite good."

Mu Yinyin felt her head hurt even more. She quickly spoke again, "Okay, okay, I'm driving now. We'll talk about this topic later."

Wan Yu was amused to the point of being angry, but she also knew that Mu Yinyin couldn't remember many things. She said, "Sigh, hurry up and go. I'm going to the company too."

Mu Yinyin responded with an "Mm," and hung up the phone.

Finally, she had dealt with Sister Wan. It was time for her to go to the company.

After a day like this, apart from not getting divorced, Mu Yinyin felt it had been quite smooth.

And in the evening, it was time for the welcoming dinner.

Back then, the four of them had founded the same company together. They were all very good friends. When she said she was coming back, she had only told Jiang Ling.

Since Li Chuan and Gu Xiaoqi were on a business trip, she hadn't said much, fearing it would affect them. Their relationship was very good, and she didn't want her personal matters to interfere with their progress.

...

Restaurant.

Mu Yinyin was the first to arrive.

Not long after she sat down, the private room door was opened. A slim, tall girl in a white dress with her hair in a ponytail walked in. As soon as she saw Mu Yinyin, she excitedly hugged her. "Ah, baby! You're finally out! I haven't seen you in so long!"

Mu Yinyin felt a pang in her heart. For the past three years, she had given up everything for love, thinking that being a full-time wife and maintaining the household was the priority. But reality had slapped her hard, telling her that love was the least important thing.

She hugged Gu Xiaoqi back, her eyes filled with guilt. "I'm sorry, baby. From now on, I'll prioritize our careers."

They had already heard that Mu Yinyin was back. Even if they didn't say anything, they knew about the gossip among the company staff!

Gu Xiaoqi immediately patted her shoulder with displeasure. "What are you apologizing for! It's great that you're back! It's not too late! You've been gone for so long, as long as you take half of my work from now on, it'll be fine!"

Mu Yinyin smiled faintly. "Okay."

The two separated and took their seats.

Gu Xiaoqi was beautiful. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that her suitors stretched down the street, but she only wanted to remain single.

She was a straightforward, righteous, and kind-hearted girl. She was lively and active, often the mood-maker in their group.

The door was opened again, and two handsome men walked in, one after the other.

Jiang Ling, as always, wore a white shirt and dress pants, with his suit jacket draped over his wrist. His chiseled handsome face was extremely alluring. He had a small scar at the corner of his right eye, but it didn't detract from his handsomeness; instead, it added a touch of charm, making him seem like a man with a story.

He was twenty-eight this year, with a steady personality, and everyone called him Boss Jiang.

He took his seat without saying much, as he had already been interacting with Mu Yinyin for a few days.

Li Chuan, who followed behind him, also took his seat. His sapphire blue suit matched his blue eyes perfectly. He was a very cold person, his words sharp, making strangers keep their distance.

Li Chuan glanced at Mu Yinyin and said in a flat tone, "This time, are you really sure?"
