Chapter 331: Chapter 130: Perfect Answer_4
Thus, one or two examinations were in a complete mess.
However, this examination paper in front of him, albeit with sloppy handwriting, had all the questions answered correctly. At first, Chang Jin thought the student had written down medical theories at random to fill the space, but upon closer inspection, he found the answers surprisingly accurate.
Especially for the question "The state of corpse decomposition seven days after death," the student had written nearly half a page, describing from the external appearance to the internal organs, the limbs, and even the brain....it was as if he had been studying a corpse for seven days straight, observing its decomposition meticulously!
It was chilling, to say the least!
Suddenly, Chang Jin shivered and hurriedly called to his colleagues, "You all, come and look at this examination paper!"
Perhaps his expression was too distorted; seeing this, those around him put down their own examination papers and gathered around, taking a look at the paper in his hand. First, they were startled by the unruly handwriting, but upon seeing the densely packed answers, they smiled in understanding, "Well, it’s all completed, quite a good attitude."
"Look closer," Chang Jin said, trembling with the examination paper in hand, "there’s not a single mistake!"
"Let me see, ’The corpse is shielded from sunlight with a red oil umbrella and wetted with water, revealing any wounds immediately...’"
The surroundings gradually quieted down.
This last question was set by Ji Xun, asking how to deal with a corpse that has no obvious wounds. The Medical Officers at the Medical Officer Institute had long debated without reaching a conclusion until Ji Xun provided the answer.
They thought no one would be able to answer this last question, considering Ji Xun’s question superfluous. Unexpectedly, someone had clearly written down the answer on the examination paper, without missing a single word.
Looking at the other questions on the examination paper, the respondent had earnestly answered each one, and the previously careless handwriting now seemed pleasing to the eye, almost like a display of carefree elegance owing to proficiency.
This was a perfect examination paper!
"When did the Imperial Medical Bureau produce such talent? Wasn’t it said that not a single person from the Verification Department was presentable?" Chang Jin muttered to himself.
The seniors at the Imperial Medical Bureau would complain to their Medical Officers every now and then, saying that the establishment of this department was a thankless task. But now it seemed, the respondent was clearly a genius!
"Quick, look," urged another Medical Officer, "tear off the name strip, and see which student it is from the Imperial Medical Bureau. The one who has studied Verification so well, it couldn’t be the young Miss from the Lin Family, could it? But isn’t she most proficient in gynecology?"
Coming back to his senses, Chang Jin quickly picked up the examination paper in front of him, and hurriedly tore off the name strip—
Anyway, now that this examination paper was fully marked, it wouldn’t hurt to take a look.
Everyone stretched their necks to stare at the name under the name strip.
The black strip was torn off, revealing the character "Lu."
Followed by the complete name emerging.
Lu Tong.
"Lu Tong?" Chang Jin was puzzled and turned to look at his colleagues, "Why does this name seem so unfamiliar? Is he a relative of someone from the Imperial Medical Bureau?"
Since the Medical Officers at the Medical Officer Institute sometimes taught students from the Imperial Medical Bureau, they were quite familiar with every student’s name. However, the name Lu Tong made Chang Jin feel extremely unfamiliar; he could not recall this person’s appearance.
Someone asked, "I haven’t heard of this name either, do we have such a person in the Imperial Medical Bureau?"
"Nonsense, if he’s not from the Imperial Medical Bureau, could he be a commoner student from the medical field?"
"The only commoner medical worker participating in the examination this year is one person; you must be dreaming!"
Around him, everyone started discussing heatedly, when amidst the chaos, a Medical Officer in the crowd suddenly thought of something and exclaimed loudly.
Everyone turned to look at him simultaneously.
"That, I suddenly remembered something..."
"What is it?"
The Medical Officer who had called out glanced at everyone and said weakly, "The commoner medical worker recommended by the medical field this year..."
"Yes?"
"Seems to have the surname Lu... Lu, right?"
