Chapter 2 The black silk swayed a little too much

The exhaust fumes that rushed at him made Chen Fan cough a few times. He cursed inwardly, "Just because you drive a fancy car, are you all that?"

Then, a middle-aged man in a suit and tie, wearing sunglasses and exuding an air of importance, stepped out from the driver's seat. He looked somewhat like a bodyguard from a Hong Kong film.

Striding purposefully towards Chen Fan, he said in a deep voice, "Young man, are you from Niutou Town?"

Chen Fan sized up the middle-aged man, then slurped down more noodles. "Yeah! What's up?"

The middle-aged man continued, "Don't worry, I'm not a bad person. I've come here specifically because I heard there's a divine doctor on Niutou Mountain behind Niutou Town. Is that true?"

For years, only two people had lived on Niutou Mountain: him and the old charlatan.

In other words, this wealthy man in front of him was here to find his master?

Huh? Had this old man's reputation reached the city?

He had actually surpassed him, and Chen Fan felt quite displeased, extremely displeased… He was the renowned veterinarian in town and in the surrounding villages!

Chen Fan thought for a moment and said, "Niutou Mountain! That place is desperately poor. There isn't even a ghost around. How could anyone possibly be there? Uncle, you've been tricked! Oh, right, although no one lives on top of that mountain, the bottom is already full!"

He was still cautious.

"Young man, you..." Just as the middle-aged man was about to inquire further, he suddenly understood Chen Fan's meaning.

At that moment, a cold voice rang out.

The car window rolled down halfway, and a faint scent of roses drifted out.

"Why do you know so much about the situation on Niutou Mountain?"

Chen Fan's expression also froze upon hearing the voice. A young lass?

Because he had stayed on the mountain for too long, he referred to all young ladies, fairies, and beautiful sisters as "young lasses"!

"Young..." Chen Fan was about to speak but quickly swallowed the vulgar words. He said, "Because I often go up the mountain to hunt, that's why I know!"

The pleasant yet icy voice offered no reply.

The middle-aged man then asked, "Young man, are you telling the truth?"

Chen Fan nodded. "A monk does not lie!"

"You are a monk?"

"My heart yearns for Buddha!"

This answer nearly broke the middle-aged man's back.

This kid's mouth was too sharp!

"Uncle Gong, let's go back..." The aloof voice spoke again.

The middle-aged man addressed as Uncle Gong nodded.

He turned and opened the car door to get in.

Preparing to leave…

Chen Fan wolfed down the noodles, drained the soup, and then wiped his mouth before getting up. "Uncle, are you heading back to the city? Could you give me a ride?"

Speaking too quickly, he coughed, and two strands of noodles shot out of his nostrils.

Fortunately, Chen Fan was quick and handled it, avoiding too much embarrassment.

Uncle Gong turned to the back seat. "Miss, should we give him a ride?"

"Whatever…" The indifferent voice replied, clearly indicating she didn't want to waste time on such matters.

Uncle Gong glanced at Chen Fan and directly said, "Miss agrees. Get in the car!"

Chen Fan was delighted. He had run out of money, and a pillow had arrived just as he was dozing off.

Since the front seats were occupied by messy gift boxes, he could only sit in the back.

The moment he opened the door, Chen Fan was stunned. Two long legs clad in black silk instantly captured all his attention.

"What are you staring at? We're in a hurry…" Uncle Gong reminded him coolly.

"Oh!"

Chen Fan snapped back to reality and agilely sat on the soft, plush sofa. He closed the door with fluid movements, afraid they might not let him in.

Soon, the car started moving!

However, Chen Fan's eyes were like hooks, never leaving the silk-stockinged legs of the cool beauty beside him…
