Chapter 2 Black silk swayed a little too much

The exhaust fumes that rushed towards him choked Chen Fan, making him cough a few times. He cursed inwardly, *Is driving a fancy car such a big deal?*

Then, a middle-aged man in a suit and tie, wearing sunglasses and exuding an air of importance, stepped out of the driver's seat, looking like a bodyguard from a Hong Kong film.

He strode towards Chen Fan and said in a deep voice, "Little brother, are you from Niutou Town?"

Chen Fan sized up the middle-aged man and slurped his noodles, "Yeah! What's up?"

The middle-aged man continued, "Don't worry, I'm not a bad person. I've come here by reputation. I heard there's a divine doctor on Niutou Mountain behind Niutou Town. Is that true?"

For years, only two people had lived on Niutou Mountain: him and the old charlatan.

This meant that this wealthy patron was here to find his master?

*Huh? Has this old man's reputation reached the city?*

*He's actually surpassed me. I'm very unhappy about that... I'm the renowned veterinarian in town and for miles around!*

Chen Fan pondered for a moment before saying, "Niutou Mountain! That place is dirt poor. Not even a ghost can be found there. How could anyone possibly be there? Uncle, you've been tricked! By the way, while no one lives on top of that place, it's already full below!"

He was still cautious.

"Little brother, you..." The middle-aged man wanted to ask more when he suddenly understood Chen Fan's meaning.

Just then, a cold voice rang out.

The car window lowered halfway, and a faint rose fragrance drifted out.

"Why do you know so much about the situation on Niutou Mountain?"

Chen Fan heard the voice and his expression froze. *Little lass?*

Having stayed on the mountain for so long, he referred to all women as "little lasses," whether they were called "big sisters," "little fairies," or "beautiful sisters."

"Lit..." Chen Fan stopped himself just as he was about to speak, swallowing the vulgarity. He said, "Because I often hunt on the mountain, so I know!"

The pleasant yet cold voice did not reply.

The middle-aged man asked again, "Little brother, are you telling the truth?"

Chen Fan nodded, "A devout person does not lie!"

"You are a devout person?"

"My heart yearns for Buddha!"

This answer almost caused the middle-aged man to break his back.

*This kid's too glib!*

"Uncle Gong, we should go back..." the aloof voice sounded again.

The middle-aged man, addressed as Uncle Gong, nodded.

He turned and got back into the car.

Ready to leave...

Chen Fan devoured the rest of his noodles, finished the broth, wiped his mouth, and stood up. "Uncle, are you heading back to the city? Can you give me a ride?"

Speaking too quickly, he coughed, and two strands of noodles shot out of his nostrils.

Fortunately, Chen Fan was quick and dealt with it, avoiding too much embarrassment.

Uncle Gong turned to the back seat and asked, "Young Lady, should we give him a ride?"

"Whatever..." came the indifferent reply, clearly indicating she didn't want to waste time on such matters.

Uncle Gong glanced at Chen Fan and said directly, "The Young Lady agrees. Get in!"

Chen Fan was delighted. He had run out of money, and it was like a pillow arriving just when he felt sleepy.

Because the front seats were cluttered with gift boxes, he had to sit in the back.

The moment he opened the car door, Chen Fan was stunned. Two long legs clad in black silk instantly captured all his attention.

"What are you waiting for? We're in a hurry..." Uncle Gong reminded him coolly.

"Oh!"

Chen Fan snapped back to reality and agilely sat on the soft, plush sofa. He closed the door with practiced ease, afraid they might not let him in.

Soon, the car started moving!

However, Chen Fan's eyes were like hooks, never leaving the silk-clad legs of the cold woman beside him...
