Chapter 487: Chapter 426: Kunlun Divine System, Immortal and Mortal Celestial Laws (Extra Chapter by Alliance Hierarch Riding a Pig)

Out of the Eight Gods of Qi Land, only the Five Masters, Heaven and Earth Soldiers, and Yin-Yang remain.

These five gods possess the strongest cultivation. Although they are Innate Divine Beings whose era is waning, their foundation still exists, and conquering them will prove even more difficult.

The Five Masters each have cultivation levels around the Primordial Spirit Peak. While they may not possess the overwhelming power to harmonize with the Dao and freely manipulate the rules of Heaven and Earth,

for Song Lin, they nevertheless present a significant challenge, especially since their Great Dao is formidable, unlike the minor paths of places like Tianhe.

Of course, if he succeeds in defeating the Eight Gods, the benefits will be beyond imagination.

Not only would the Kunlun Authority be perfected, but Song Lin could also begin preparing to merge step by step with the Dao.

"The Xuanhuang Sect, located on Eastern Penglai Island, venerates the Yin-Yang Two Masters. Their temples are mostly established in the East, likely in an effort to quickly return to the Dao."

When it comes to the Dao of Sword, Good and Evil, Curse, Array, or the acquired paths like Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth, there’s no question that their power is naturally much weaker than Innate paths such as Yin-Yang, Heaven and Earth, or Chaos.

Yet, there are certain Acquired Daos developed by extraordinary geniuses that are unfathomably strong, such as Chiyou’s Military Dao.

As for the Innate Daos like Heaven, Earth, and Yin-Yang, they are undeniably even more powerful and should not be underestimated.

"That aside, when reviving the citizens of the Undying Country, will they revive all at once or one by one?"

"One by one. If my Taoist Realm were higher, perhaps I could revive them all together."

The Queen Mother of the West didn’t want to rush things; after all, this recent incident nearly cost her her life. Luckily, Song Lin arrived in time.

"Alright then, let’s discuss the reforms moving forward. First, we must establish a system where everyone has their defined roles, with each individual assigned certain powers and responsibilities."

As someone who was building a Taoist School from scratch, Song Lin felt that Kunlun was utterly haphazard, even more disorganized than the weakest of sects.

It resembled more of a primitive tribal utopia.

The only true leader here was the Queen Mother of the West, followed by the citizens of the Undying Country, who lived in this land but lacked a structured system.

For instance, Song Lin’s position as the Moon Cultivation Great Witch was originally that of a priest among the Moon Cultivation Tribe, responsible for handling affairs related to Moon Cultivation.

Beyond the Moon Cultivation Tribe, there was little to distinguish him from other members of the Undying Clan. There were no clear hierarchies or cooperating departments, which was a key reason for Kunlun’s failure.

"What do you mean?" The Queen Mother of the West was puzzled.

"There’s no structure, no paths for upward mobility, no infusion of new blood. Over time, decline is inevitable."

Innate Divine Beings are born of Heaven and Earth, but Heaven and Earth do not exist eternally; they weaken as the world ages.

Without Acquired Immortals perpetually joining to sustain it, Kunlun would merely become an obsolete ancient myth doomed to extinction.

That’s why the Queen Mother once remarked that this is the era of Acquired Immortals.

"Now that you wield the Longevity Dao, it’s a tremendous allure for Acquired Immortals. However, without channels for advancement, these individuals will not stick around for long. Instead of pledging allegiance, they might plot to seize the undying medicine for themselves."

When one’s strength is immense, such concerns may be unnecessary. But what about times like now, when one is weak?

Song Lin hoped to transform this ancient and desolate immortal kingdom into a Divine System brimming with vitality.

Inevitably, he would leave someday, and perhaps he wouldn’t return for another ten thousand years. When he did, he didn’t want to find an empty shell of a nation.

"This Heavenly Court shall be renamed Kunlun Heavenly Court. Its primary deities will be you, the Queen Mother of the West, and me, the Eastern King."

"The two deities will oversee the Kunlun Jade City. Below them will be the Four Directions and Four Spirits: Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise. The Divine Court will be guarded by Emperor Kai Ming (Kai Ming Beast, a tiger-bodied entity with nine heads), who will lead the beasts; the Sanqing Saints (Sanqing Birds) and Emperor Tianpeng (the Kunlun Bird) will lead the flying creatures; and Emperor Green Snake (the Kunlun Snake) will govern the water elements."

"The Jade Palace shall serve as the Central Office, with its officials selected by the two deities. Ideally, these officials should encompass Heaven, Earth, Human, and Divine categories and serve under the three emperors. The citizens of the Undying Country will be divided into respective departments based on their nature."

Heaven, Earth, and Human refer to Heaven Gods (such as various Star Lords, Heavenly Gods, and Four Seasons Officials); Earth Deities (like those governing mountains, rivers, vegetation, beasts, City Gods, and the Yin Bureau); and Humans (including Heavenly Masters, Sect Leaders, societal customs, culture, marriage deities, Earth Immortals, Independent Immortals, and True Persons).

"How should the citizens of the Undying Country be categorized?"

"For example, Feathered People and others associated with wind will fall under the Wind Department. Fire-eating Country folk and Earth Core People will belong to the Fire Department. Three-eyed beings, Houyan creatures, Lords, and Little People will be assigned positions such as guardians or inspectors. Kobolds, Three-headed Men, Half-Snake People, Crocodile People, and Alligator Men with earth-based abilities can temporarily assume roles as deities overseeing mountains and rivers."

In general, everything will be meticulously subdivided. From this point onward, there will be no more countries or tribes.

Instead, the divisions will strictly follow the three categories: Heaven, Earth, and Human.

"While there may not be enough people now, we can gradually fill out the framework in the future. Step by step, we’ll reclaim the authority over the sun, moon, stars, and heavens. Someday, this could become a complete Heavenly Court in its own right."

Song Lin concluded.

"I understand."

The Queen Mother of the West committed everything to memory.

"Also, discipline must not be overly lax. There must be regulations."

Song Lin mentioned the Donghua Rules, adapting some aspects to better suit Kunlun’s unique circumstances while preserving their core principles.

On an individual level, freedom may take precedence, but for the Three Realms as a whole, the best outcome lies in maintaining order, allowing everyone their space to coexist harmoniously.

Suddenly, Song Lin thought of another point and added, "By the way, any deity holding an official position must refrain from marrying mortals. If they wish to do so, they must relinquish all titles, and their descendants shall not receive any benefits from Kunlun."

Some may consider this law overly harsh, but in truth, it’s for the greater good of the Three Realms. Besides, it doesn’t completely close off the possibility.

Citizens of the Undying Country are Abnormal Soldiers, as are Immortals.

One characteristic of Abnormal Soldiers is reproductive difficulty—they have low chances of conception and long gestation periods, spanning decades or even centuries.

Furthermore, the higher one’s Taoist Realm, the harder it is to conceive.

Childbirth inherently involves the transfer of maternal Primordial Energy to give life to the fetus. For those with high cultivation, a perfect and seamless spiritual body makes it exceedingly difficult for a fetus to absorb their energy.

Hence, in mythology, the offspring of immortals are often extremely gifted. After all, only those with extraordinary aptitudes can be successfully born.

Since the fetus absorbs maternal energy, the mother inherently suffers some depletion, as a portion of her Primordial Energy is transferred to the child.

Therefore, relying on childbirth to dominate the world is impractical. Even if a Primordial Spirit sacrificed their life to produce a thousand Qi Refinement fetuses, what are the odds of all of them advancing to the Primordial Spirit level?

Ultimately, at higher levels of cultivation, innate talent ceases to be decisive—comprehension and opportunity become the keys.

Thus, immortals are unwilling, and indeed struggle, to reproduce.

This difficulty is even more pronounced for Innate Divine Beings; the more they procreate, the weaker they become, eventually compromising themselves.

If these beings marry mortals, the difficulty of childbirth is reduced significantly.

Of course, the offspring may not possess particularly high talents, but their starting point would be higher than that of ordinary cultivators.

This poses a significant risk: in the future, the mid to lower tiers of the Heavenly Court may become inundated with second-generation, twentieth-generation, or even hundred-generation immortals.

The Heavenly Court risks becoming stagnant, bogged down by familial ties.

Without opportunities for Acquired Immortals outside the system to enter even the lowest tiers, much less ascend further, a backlog of talent outside the Heavenly Court would naturally follow, leading to predictable consequences over time.

Even if it meant enduring accusations of being heartless, Song Lin was adamant about enacting this divine law.

That said, there’s no need for excessive punishment for those who violate this decree.

If they desire domestic happiness, so be it—let them retire to their homes, passing on their roles to others.

After all, some immortal progeny do have the potential to bring trouble, like Yangg Jian or Liu Chenxiang.

Hearing this, the Queen Mother of the West seemed to understand partially, but seeing Song Lin’s resolve, she ultimately agreed.

"By the way, what powers does your title of Eastern King entail?"

"Ah, uh, I have little interest in authority. You handle it. I’m off to meditate."

With a swoosh, Song Lin disappeared.

He left the work to the Queen Mother of the West.

One year is a long time. While in meditation and cultivation, Song Lin occasionally returned to the real world to take care of various matters.

One day, news arrived from the Taiyin Refining Shape Temple.

"Heavenly Master, Yuanbo’s body is about to be restored."
