Chapter 185 The Lone Wolf's Pursuit

The two martial artists, despite possessing six levels of strength, were no match for Qin Hui.

Lone Wolf couldn't fathom that he had personally led his two martial artists to their deaths. Whether they would be discovered next was no longer important, for Qin Hui's slaughter awaited Lone Wolf and his companions.

After tidying his appearance, Qin Hui put on his previous mask.

Although the mask was rather optional, as Lone Wolf had always believed Qin Hui was orchestrating everything, Qin Hui still decided to wear it. The members of the Dragon Patrol had no major grievance with him, and this way, they would have a reason not to expose him.

With the mask on, Qin Hui reverted to his old ways and quickly vanished from the villa.

The search that day was long and arduous. As night fell, Lone Wolf and his men still hadn't found any clues.

Ever since Qin Hui left, the trail seemed to have gone cold.

"Contact Ah Wu and the others. See if Qin Hui has shown any abnormalities."

Lone Wolf commanded, his intuition telling him that Qin Hui was definitely up to something.

"Yes."

The subordinate nodded.

However, at that very moment, a piercing scream erupted from a nearby tent.

As Lone Wolf and the others rushed out, they saw a dark figure disappear into the night.

The two martial artists inside the tent had their throats slit, ending their lives instantly!

The sudden turn of events sent a wave of panic through the group.

It seemed the serial killer was indeed real.

Looking at his remaining six martial artists, Lone Wolf flew into a rage and charged directly towards the dark figure, refusing to believe that the assailant could escape from under his nose.

Seeing Lone Wolf give chase, Leng Mu and the others quickly followed, eager to see how strong this serial killer truly was!

In the vast forest, a pursuit drama soon unfolded.

Lone Wolf led the charge, followed by his six martial artists, and alongside them were the members of the Dragon Patrol.

With so many people chasing Qin Hui, it should have been an easy task, but after chasing for a long time, none of them managed to catch up to Qin Hui.

In the previous two days, Qin Hui had scouted the area thoroughly and set up numerous traps.

During the chase, two more martial artists were severely injured.

In such a desolate and uninhabited place, severe injury meant a certain death.

This pursuit continued until well past midnight before it finally stopped, not because Lone Wolf and his men didn't want to continue, but because they had lost their direction.

Moreover, during the pursuit, his remaining three martial artists had sustained injuries to varying degrees.

Compared to them, none of the Dragon Patrol members were harmed.

"Damn you, just you wait until I catch you!"

Lone Wolf slammed his fist onto the ground. Due to the injured martial artists, he wouldn't be getting any rest that night.

In contrast, Qin Hui, having shaken off his pursuers, was resting quite leisurely.

Qin Hui wasn't worried about Lone Wolf catching up to him at this time, as he had no idea where he was. Furthermore, if Lone Wolf did catch up, the safety of his team members would be compromised.

In comparison, Qin Hui had already planned his actions for the next day.

After all, the wounded were a burden to Lone Wolf, a greater torment than killing him.

However, for Qin Hui, he would not spare these Qin family martial artists.

Since they intended to kill him here, Qin Hui would not give them a chance to leave alive.

After all, Jiangnan Province was his territory, and no one could run rampant here!

At five in the morning, a series of screams woke the resting Lone Wolf.

When he rushed out of the tent, he discovered that the five martial artists from the previous night had all fallen in a pool of blood.

Seeing their corpses, Lone Wolf became enraged.

Why were all the deceased his men?

Not a single member of the Dragon Patrol was harmed; this was clearly retaliation directed at the Qin family.

Most importantly, after eliminating these individuals, Lone Wolf found himself without any subordinates.

Connecting all the dots, the ultimate target pointed to Qin Hui.

Ever since Qin Hui left, his forces had suffered severe blows.

The two martial artists who had been monitoring Qin Hui were now unreachable.

If it were Lone Wolf himself, he would likely do the same: first eliminate those weaker than him, then recover his strength before dealing with the stronger ones.

It was only now that Lone Wolf realized that this was all a trap set for the Qin family. If Qin Hui wasn't caught soon, more Qin family martial artists would fall.

This time, after striking, Qin Hui did not flee immediately but stood outside the camp, watching Lone Wolf.

Everyone's gaze was fixed on Qin Hui. Although this person did not resemble Qin Hui, his overall demeanor was very much like his.

"You've finally shown yourself. This time, I won't let you escape."

Lone Wolf gritted his teeth and charged at Qin Hui without any hesitation.

Qin Hui smiled slightly and turned to flee.

After all, Lone Wolf possessed the strength of an eighth-level martial artist. If they were to clash head-on, Qin Hui would undoubtedly be at a disadvantage, so he intended to use cunning.

Qin Hui was full of confidence in this plan of cunning. After all, Lone Wolf's teammates had already been dealt with by Qin Hui; he was next.

Seeing Lone Wolf charge out, Leng Mu and the others also wanted to go out and help, but they were stopped by Huang Qing.

"Captain, I don't think that person harbors any hostility towards us, and Lone Wolf is so certain it's Qin Hui."

"I think it's best we don't get involved. If we do and casualties occur, it will be difficult to explain."

Huang Qing said thoughtfully.

Leng Mu hesitated for a moment after hearing this, then finally nodded.

In the previous few sneak attacks, the assailant had not targeted the Dragon Patrol. If he were to get involved this time, it would truly mean a falling out.

This outcome was not what Leng Mu desired.

Since Lone Wolf was already blinded by rage, it was best to let them settle the score themselves.

"Alright, everyone, let's pack up and head home!"

Leng Mu ordered directly.

Everyone felt a sense of relief, for if they had indeed pursued, their lives would have been precarious.

In the vast forest, Qin Hui fled madly, feeling a surge of excitement.

Behind him, Lone Wolf chased Qin Hui with reckless abandon.

Qin Hui's goal was to wear down Lone Wolf's patience, thereby gaining the upper hand.

Most importantly, Lone Wolf was a key figure of the Qin family, and Qin Hui might be able to extract some information from him.

After chasing for a long time, Lone Wolf realized that only he was left pursuing. However, this was not important; as long as he could capture Qin Hui.

At a fallen log, Qin Hui stopped his footsteps, his eyes fixed on the approaching Lone Wolf with a hint of excitement.

A sense of danger made Lone Wolf halt his advance, staring angrily at Qin Hui.

This was the guy who had caused him to lose so many team members.
