In a luxurious villa by the sea, Qin Long was enjoying a massage from several young models, with his trusted generals standing by.
"Any news on Qin Hui yet?"
Qin Long opened his eyes, a hint of weariness in his voice. He had originally intended to seek revenge against Qin Hui, but Qin Hui had encountered a maritime disaster, and his fate was uncertain.
"Nothing yet. A month has passed, and even if he were cunning, he couldn't have survived at sea for this long," a servant said with a sigh. He doubted he could last three days in such a situation.
"No, you underestimate Qin Hui. If he were that easy to deal with, he wouldn't have survived this long. Let's wait a bit longer," Qin Long said patiently, believing that a hunter needed sufficient patience, lest the roles be reversed.
"Yes, Young Master."
The servant nodded and withdrew. Once everyone had left, the young models settled onto Qin Long's lap, their seductive figures enticing.
"Young Master Qin, this is a bit boring. How about we do something more exciting?" one of the models, with long, slender legs, said with anticipation. Even if she couldn't become Qin Long's woman, the money she could earn from a few encounters was considerable.
*Slap.*
Qin Long slapped the model's thigh. A closer look would reveal that she was a popular internet celebrity recently featured on Douyin.
Just as Qin Long was about to relax, his phone rang. He frowned slightly at the caller ID but answered anyway.
A few minutes later, Qin Long hung up, his expression grim.
"Young Master Qin, what's wrong?" the model asked, reclining on him and reaching to unbutton his shirt.
However, Qin Long pushed the model aside and strode out. The call had been from a senior figure in his family, urging him to marry. This time, his intended bride was an entertainment celebrity. For a martial artist like Qin Long, ordinary people were beneath his notice; only those with formidable power were worthy of him.
Three days later, two large bamboo rafts were completed. The group had also found an opportunity to set sail. Honestly, after a month on the deserted island, leaving felt a little bittersweet. Qin Hui felt the same; he wouldn't have left if there weren't any cultivation resources left. Having broken through to the Half-step Grandmaster realm, Qin Hui felt a good deal of confidence about his trip to Yanjing, believing he could at least retreat unscathed from the Qin family.
During these few days, Qin Hui had planned everything: he and Wang Xiaoyan would travel to Yanjing, while Li Dazhuang would return to Jiangnan Province to continue protecting Jiang Yanxi. As for Su Shijun and Su Xue'er, they would return to their normal lives; they shouldn't have been involved with martial artists in the first place.
"Brother Hui, everything is ready. Shall we set off?" Li Dazhuang approached and asked.
"Alright, let's proceed according to the plan," Qin Hui nodded and then led everyone onto the bamboo rafts to set sail. Relying solely on bamboo rafts wouldn't get them to land. Qin Hui's idea was to return to the site of their previous shipwreck, where he was certain rescue personnel would still be present, and they could take him back. For this voyage, everyone had prepared several days' worth of provisions.
Compared to their previous misfortune, the group's voyage route this time was lucky. In just two days, they returned to the location of the shipwreck. A large yacht had been anchored there for a month. Seeing the yacht, the group wept with joy; after surviving on the deserted island for a month, they finally saw a glimmer of hope.
Soon, the rescue yacht took everyone aboard, providing them with food and daily necessities. In less than three days, they would be able to return home and reunite with their families. However, some would bid their families farewell forever.
In a small cabin on the ship, Qin Hui and the others sat on the floor.
"Sister Shijun, after we return, you should say you have no connection with me. I suspect my enemies are already waiting for us on shore," Qin Hui mused, stroking his chin.
"Ah? Aren't you going ashore?" Su Shijun asked anxiously. Having followed Qin Hui for some time, she had learned some of the inside story; Qin Hui had fled to the sea to become a sailor after offending a powerful figure.
"Don't worry. We'll leave the yacht early tomorrow morning so people won't notice our departure," Qin Hui said.
"Qin Hui, this is the vast ocean. Are you planning to swim to land? Aren't you afraid of sharks?" Su Xue'er asked with curiosity.
"Of course. Remember, just say you were in a cooperative relationship with us. They won't make things difficult for you," Wang Xiaoyan cautioned earnestly. If they misspoke even once, Su Shijun and Su Xue'er would be in danger. After all, the Qin family's approach was to err on the side of caution, eliminating a thousand wrongdoers rather than letting one escape.
"Okay, we'll remember. You two be careful too," Su Shijun said, relieved. Although her experiences with Qin Hui were deeply etched in her memory, all good things must come to an end, and those who must leave will eventually depart. For a woman of her age, she had already come to terms with everything. Su Xue'er, however, was a bit reluctant. After all, Qin Hui was her first man, and she had once fantasized about spending her life with him. But reality, as always, was harsh.
With their previous experience in mind, Qin Hui went to the yacht's storeroom and took half of the supplies and resources. Who knew how long it would take to reach the coast this time? Therefore, food and resources had to be prepared thoroughly. After bidding farewell to everyone, at dawn the next day, three dark figures slipped into the sea and swam towards the western coast. The yacht, meanwhile, was sailing towards the eastern coast and would reach Jiangnan Province in another day.
Late at night, Qin Long eagerly piloted a large yacht, waiting by the nearby coast. He had waited for nearly a month and finally Qin Hui had arrived. The moment Qin Hui and the others boarded the yacht, Qin Long's men had reported it to him. Therefore, Qin Long intended to capture him alive; capturing him dead would be too uninteresting.
At noon the next day, the yacht returned to the coast of Jiangnan Province on schedule. Qin Long immediately had the yacht thoroughly searched. To his rage, Qin Hui had escaped, and he didn't even know when he had left!
*Bang!*
Qin Long slammed his fist on the table. "Damn it, he got away again." Qin Long felt utterly humiliated. Waiting for a month only to find nothing was like waiting for air. He could only imagine how many people in Yanjing would mock him.
"Young Master, Qin Hui's family and friends are all in Jiangnan Province. I don't believe he can avoid returning forever. As soon as he goes back, we'll be able to catch him."
"The most important thing now is to return to Yanjing. The elders and the family head are all waiting for you, as this arranged marriage is of great significance!" an elder black servant calmly analyzed.
"Huuuh." Qin Long breathed a long sigh. He had almost been overcome by anger moments before, but he had firmly etched Qin Hui in his mind. This debt would be repaid sooner or later!
