Chapter 122: Ditto Family’s Situation

Chapter 122: Ditto Family’s Situation

In Ditto Family;

"Bang!"

A body flew out towards the wall and got impaled on the wall. Several cracks and dust appeared on the wall, and the sound of several broken bones rang.

In front of that body was a woman wearing a silver gown. Her eyes had turned red with anger as she spoke.

"My son is dead, and you still haven’t found that culprit. What are you wastes doing?"

"Calm down, Jessie! It’s not that we don’t have any suspicion, but there is no confirmation." A middle-aged man standing next to her tried to calm her down.

"Of course, you can remain calm. You have plenty of sons, but I have only one. That was my flesh and blood. You want me to stay silent after that."

The woman roared angrily. The sheer Spiritual Energy coming out of her body shattered the walls and destroyed the ground.

The man couldn’t help but feel guilty. It wasn’t that he couldn’t feel attached to his son.

It’s just that he never tried to. He knew his objective.

Make the Ditto Family the greatest in history!

It had only been fifty years since the changes in the world.

When everyone was trying to figure out the situation, he led the Ditto Family towards greatness.

Becoming one of the Three Greatest Families in the Sunfry Region. He wanted to go beyond that.

Becoming the sole pillar for the world so that they could bathe in the greatness of the Ditto Family.

That was his dream, and for fifty years, he seized every opportunity he could find to help his family become stronger.

Just within the Mulan Continent, his family wasn’t the strongest one. There were four more continents around the world.

If he wanted the Ditto family to be the best, he had to put all of his attention on its growth.

So, most of the time, he would use his connection to get a wife, impregnate her, give birth to a new child, and continue focusing on his work.

That’s how it had been for years. So, he didn’t have a good connection with his son.

Even when his son died, his only regret was that his family lost a talented youth.

That kind of person was Ben Ditto, the Leader of the Ditto Family.

"I know you are angry. I am angry."

"No, you are not. You are just disappointed, Ben. And, I don’t care. When I married you, I knew my fate. But I won’t forget this hatred."

Jessie gave him a blank look with red eyes. Even the tears hadn’t stopped flowing down her cheeks as she walked out of his room.

"Father, are you just going to watch?" Ben spoke.

Soon, a figure appeared next to him.

This figure was covered with wind until it slowly vanished, revealing a man wearing a blue flora shirt and black pants.

He had white hair and a beard reaching his stomach.

Seeing this, Ben rolled his eyes and asked.

"What’s up with the Beard?"

"Hehehe! I was trying to look like Lin Shou. How do I look?"

"You are not Lin Shou. You are Max Ditto. Act like one!" Ben angrily snorted.

"Hehehe! Just because you are stronger than me doesn’t give you the right to scold me. Don’t forget I am your father."

Max proudly stated.

"Dad, I just lost a son. Can’t you at least act sad?" Ben speechlessly asked.

Max waved his hand and said.

"If it were fifty years ago, I would’ve been sad, crying for my grandson’s death."

"I lost your mother when we promised to become immortals together. I lost my best friend in Dimensional Invasion. I lost almost all of my friends."

"I lost Tony. I have lost too many people to count, and I can’t do anything about it."

"That’s how the world is going to work now. People have been addicted to power. A slight loss of control and you will be offending quite a powerful person."

"Maybe your son became too arrogant and provoked someone he shouldn’t have. After all, his status as the son of the Ditto Family doesn’t curb his arrogance."

Hearing his father’s words, Ben clenched his fist and said.

"Even so, I can’t just act like nothing happened. That’s my son. Jessie is right. That’s my flesh and blood. I have to find the culprit or I won’t be able to rest."

Looking at his son’s anger, Max sighed heavily and said.

"I was just as angry as you when I lost Tony. I wanted revenge. But I wasn’t strong enough. So, I told you about Artificial Constitution to improve the family’s strength."

"My original motivation wasn’t for war but for my own revenge. But years have passed, and I couldn’t get my revenge. These years made me realize one thing."

"There are people beyond us, beyond our strength. In this vast cosmos, we are nothing but mere dust, son. No matter how hard I try, I can’t defeat those dimensional invaders."

"And, you are about to face something even worse."

Hearing his long lecture, Ben angrily asked.

"What are you trying to say, Dad?"

Max looked absolutely serious as he spoke.

"We can’t survive on our own. We can’t save Earth, even with the Artificial Constitution project. That project has given us a lot of negative remarks."

"People of our region are afraid of us. People from other regions are preparing to fight us. People of other continents might hate us."

"What we did crossed the moral boundaries, son. Unless we are absolutely the strongest, don’t make the same mistake as I did."

Saying so, his body released wind as it began spiraling around him. His body slowly disappeared, leaving Ben to his thoughts in his room.

’Dad is right. We can’t make enemies with our people. Almost five thousand children were sacrificed in this experiment.’

’Unless we are willing to fight other people while facing external threats, I can’t make a severe mistake.’

’No, I have to remind Jessie.’
