Yun Ya woke up again on a spaceship. He opened his eyes to see white clouds flashing past the window. He knew he was in a flying vessel. The room he lay in was simple, devoid of any ornaments, likely a guest room.
His memory was a bit hazy. Wasn't he just fighting a pack of wolves? How did he end up on a ship? Who rescued him? He only remembered that during his struggle with the wolf king, Yun Yi's scream had startled him. Before he knew it, the wolf king's massive fangs were right in front of him. He only managed to block the wolf's mouth with his hand, protecting his neck, before everything went black and he lost consciousness.
Had he been saved? What about Yun Yi? Panicked, he stumbled out of bed. However, due to severe blood loss, his legs were weak, and he fell near the bedside. Just then, the door was pushed open, and a man in green entered. Seeing him fall, the man quickly walked over and helped him up.
"Young master, you are severely injured and need to rest in bed!" the man in green said gently.
"Fellow Daoist, please, is the man in purple with me here? How is he?" Yun Ya was anxious to know Yun Yi's condition, his voice urgent.
"Young master, the person who was with you is more seriously injured, with damage to his heart meridian. My uncle is currently treating him." The man in green, who had come to deliver medicine, handed a bottle to Yun Ya, instructing him to take one pill a day.
Yun Ya thanked the man in green, opened the bottle, poured out a pill, and recognized it as a potent medicine for external wounds. Without hesitation, he swallowed it.
"Fellow Daoist, did you save us? Words cannot express my gratitude. I, Yun Ya, will surely repay this life-saving favor in the future. Please tell me, where is my junior brother Yun Yi? I wish to see him."
Yun Ya was filled with an overwhelming sense of urgency. He recalled Yun Yi's pained cries when he had been pushed to the ground by the snow wolves. His own distraction had given the wolf king an opening...
"Young master, you and your companion were saved by my uncle. How are you feeling now? If you can manage, I will help you over. That young master is in the adjacent guest room." The man in green, seeing Yun Ya's anxious expression, sighed at their brotherhood, and agreed to take him.
Tian Ji's brow was furrowed. Of the two people rescued, he discovered that their cultivation had been deliberately sealed. The technique used to seal their cultivation felt somewhat familiar. He suspected he had just rescued two troublemakers! While treating them, he had noticed their high cultivation levels. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to hold out against the second-tier wolf pack and be saved by him while their spiritual energy was sealed. These two were not ordinary.
He had set out for the Chaotian Immortal Sect upon receiving a letter from the Divine Venerable. Yesterday, he wasn't supposed to be on this route, but a premonition had caused him to change direction, and he stumbled upon these two battling the wolf pack. A moment later, they would have been dead. Well, it was destiny, proving that these two were meant to survive.
When Yun Ya arrived in the adjacent room, Tian Ji had just finished treating Yun Yi. He turned and saw Yun Ya's pale face, surprised to find Yun Ya so handsome after being cleaned up.
"Young master, this is my uncle." The man in green supported Yun Ya, introducing him.
As soon as Yun Ya entered the room, he saw Yun Yi lying on the bed. Although severely injured, seeing his chest rise and fall, he knew Yun Yi was out of mortal danger, which eased his heart considerably. He turned and cupped his fists, bowing deeply to Tian Ji.
"May I ask your esteemed name, benefactor? Thank you for your rescue. I will surely repay this favor with my life in the future."
"I am Tian Ji. I was merely passing by and acted on impulse. Young master, you are too kind!" Tian Ji waved his hand. He had a premonition that these two might bring trouble.
"Fellow Daoist Tian Ji, I am Yun Ya. The person on the bed is my junior brother. May I ask how my junior brother is doing?" Yun Ya observed that this Daoist who called himself Tian Ji possessed an extraordinary aura, appearing like an immortal. He wondered what sect's master or elder he might be.
"He is out of danger now, with only superficial wounds remaining. However, your spiritual powers are sealed. Otherwise, you could recover faster by meditating and cultivating! May I ask who sealed your cultivation? Given your Nascent Soul stage cultivation, there are not many people on the Celestial Continent who could seal your spiritual energy," Tian Ji asked directly, his gaze sharp and probing his inner doubts.
"Fellow Daoist Tian Ji, if I were to say that I don't know who did it, would you believe me?" Yun Ya gritted his teeth unconsciously at this question.
"Oh? Is that so? Have you offended someone without knowing who?" Tian Ji asked in confusion.
"It's true. I only remember descending from the sect, and then all my memories are gone. I woke up in a daze to encounter the snow wolf pack." Yun Ya subconsciously concealed the fact that he was on a sect mission.
"Where do you two hail from? Your accent suggests you are not natives of the Central Plains on the Celestial Continent."
Tian Ji was half-believing Yun Ya's words. A Nascent Soul stage expert was dumped in a frozen wasteland. It wasn't his enemy who did it, then it must be his rival! That opponent's cultivation must be truly terrifying to easily seal their Nascent Soul stage cultivation and erase their memories, leaving them unable to even find their enemy. Tian Ji almost admired their opponent. This was precisely the sort of attack that struck at the heart, worse than death. For someone at that level, humiliation was far greater than death.
"This, Fellow Daoist Tian Ji, my sect's affairs are inconvenient to disclose, please forgive me. I can only tell you that I am not from this continent." Yun Ya felt conflicted facing his benefactor, but he still revealed his origin.
Tian Ji was surprised! Not from the Celestial Continent, then they must be from the Heavenly Star Continent? Although his clothes were tattered and bloodstained when he rescued them, it was evident they were of fine make. Now, observing his polite demeanor and noble bearing, could they be from a sect there that possessed a realm token?
"So you are esteemed guests from the Heavenly Star Continent! What brings you here? You must have come using a realm token!" Tian Ji's eyes fixed on Yun Ya, his words a firm conclusion. Only top-tier sects possessed the right to freely traverse dimensional barriers with a realm token. Realm tokens were held by only a few select top-tier sects. His Cang Lan Sect possessed one such token.
"Fellow Daoist Tian Ji, your insight is truly extraordinary. I am impressed. Yes, Yun Ya indeed hails from the Heavenly Star Continent." Yun Ya admired his benefactor's ability to deduce things so quickly, guessing his background with just a few words. He feared that if they continued talking, his benefactor would likely know all about his sect's secrets.
Tian Ji had indeed guessed where Yun Ya and his companion came from. Wearing purple, possessing profound cultivation, and having a realm token… they were likely disciples of the Eastern Supreme True Man sect on the Heavenly Star Continent. Their sect proclaimed "Purple Qi Arriving from the East" and were descendants of the Sacred Ox Sage. Most inner disciples of their sect wore purple and valued it as a noble color.
"Young Master Yun, you flatter me. I merely know of a few major sects that possess realm tokens. I have no interest in your sect's secrets, so you need not worry. My spaceship's destination is the Chaotian Immortal Sect on the Celestial Continent. Do you have a destination?"
Tian Ji suppressed his urge to probe further. Whether the amnesia of the two was true or not, a fox would eventually reveal its tail. He would wait and see.
Yun Ya pondered for a moment. He couldn't contact his sect now, and Yun He's whereabouts were unknown. It would take time to unseal his own acupoints. It might be better to accompany Fellow Daoist Tian Ji to the Chaotian Immortal Sect to have a look. He still didn't know the nature of his sect's mission.
"Fellow Daoist Tian Ji, your kindness is immense. I have no way to repay you at the moment. I beg that you kindly allow my brother and me to stay with you for a few more days. We will surely repay your great kindness then." Yun Ya shamelessly followed Tian Ji to the Chaotian Immortal Sect.
