281: Chapter 276: Having a Baby, I’m Serious 281: Chapter 276: Having a Baby, I’m Serious Ye Tian held the USB drive with a faint smile, thinking to himself that his wife really was ruthless; the Splendor Company must have pushed her to the edge for her to resort to this method.
Oh, Splendor Company, Splendor Company, you could have provoked anyone, but you just had to mess with my wife.
You’re going to get what’s coming to you.
Ye Tian patted the shoulder of the starving wolf, “Let’s go, you did good.”
“Yes, master!” the starving wolf respectfully left.
Having secured the USB drive, Ye Tian went upstairs again, quickly arriving at the group headquarters, and went straight to the president’s office, laying the USB drive in front of Yun Xinyan.
Yun Xinyan’s eyes lit up, thinking to herself that the starving wolf was indeed efficient in handling tasks.
Without any superfluous words, Yun Xinyan turned on her computer, plugged in the USB drive, and immediately, various numbers appeared on the screen, all unsavory accounts.
Looking at his wife’s smile, Ye Tian touched his nose, “This time, the Splendor Company is really in for it.”
Yun Xinyan did not speak.
Instead, she focused intently on the various figures on the screen, starting to analyze them.
Soon, she spotted a major problem.
Bang!
Yun Xinyan abruptly smacked the desk and stood up agitated.
Her face flushed with anger, her ample chest heaving in an unstably manner, quite tumultuous.
Ye Tian thought to himself, my gosh, her breasts seem to have gotten even bigger, all thanks to my painstaking massages, a rewarding outcome indeed.
Yun Xinyan said indignantly, “Splendor Company has gone too far!
It was bad enough that they stole my project, but to subcontract it to a shell company!
Is Wang Qingshan not afraid of divine retribution?”
Ye Tian took the opportunity to get fresh, massaging Yun Xinyan’s shoulders while she was angry, kneading away.
“Don’t be angry, my dear.
Wang Qingshan is nothing but a ruffian, the only reason he has his current position is all thanks to his old man.”
Yun Xinyan remained angry, her chest heaving tempestuously.
Standing in his position, Ye Tian had a perfect view of two mounds of snowy white.
Tsk tsk tsk, the view was simply too splendid to describe.
“He dares to subcontract a project that affects half the citizens of Jiangcheng, and not only does he subcontract it, but he gives it to a shell company, which in turn subcontracts it to another party.
These unscrupulous merchants pass it back and forth and the project will be ruined.
In the end, it’s the common people who suffer!”
Yun Xinyan was so angry she clenched her teeth.
“Isn’t she afraid of being cursed with no offspring?” Yun Xinyan, in her anger, even let out a curse.
Ye Tian shrugged and said, “That’s nothing, Wang Qingshan has done even more despicable deeds.”
Since his wife was the closest person to him, Ye Tian didn’t hide anything and directly revealed Wang Qingshan’s involvement in human trafficking, his collusion with African forces, and smuggling of diamonds and jewelry.
Upon hearing this, Yun Xinyan was almost angry enough to take a knife to someone.
“Scum!
Wang Qingshan is scum!” Yun Xinyan exclaimed angrily, “None of the Wang Family from the provincial capital are good for anything!”
Ye Tian smiled faintly, thinking to himself that it wasn’t just the Wang Family from the provincial capital that was rotten; all four of the major families there were bad news.
None were virtuous, all were like leeches feeding on the blood of the people.
Capitalism, from the inside out, is filled with the blood and sweat of the working masses.
Every penny they have comes from the exploitation of the poor, both at home and abroad.
“No, we can’t let these wicked people get away with it.
We have to do something about it.”
Yun Xinyan stood up, deep in thought.
Then she sat back at her desk, gently tapping the keyboard, logging into a government website and sending all the business information she had that involved illegal activities of the Splendor Group.
These materials were all genuine and definitely not to be seen by the public.
Yun Xinyan’s direct report would surely bring shock and possibly even retaliation from the Splendor Group.
Ye Tian patted her shoulder, “Well done, my dear.
With this evidence of their crimes, Wang Qingshan should be in for a treat.”
Yun Xinyan sighed.
These days, she had spent no small amount of time making connections in the provincial capital.
The more she interacted with the elite of the capital, the more she understood just how deeply entrenched the Wang Family was.
Toppling Wang Qingshan was already difficult.
To bring down the Wang Family, a towering tree like that, was even harder.
She knew better than anyone that with the Wang Family’s powerful influence, her evidence of crimes could at best stop Wang Qingshan’s arrogance, but it was far from enough to punish the wicked.
“What’s wrong, worried about taking down the Splendor Company?” Ye Tian asked in a relaxed tone.
Yun Xinyan nodded, “My abilities are limited, that’s all I can do.”
Ye Tian said nothing more but smiled mysteriously.
Wang Qingshan, that old street tough, he had wanted to deal with him long ago, but unfortunately, Wang Qingshan was like a slippery rabbit, always evading capture, so he had been able to escape justice.
He had thought that after the warning from the fire incident, Wang Qingshan would learn his lesson, but Ye Tian didn’t expect that the guy would escalate things even further, hiring a Thai boxing expert to assassinate him and meddling in business to ruin his wife’s company.
Ye Tian could no longer stand it.
This time, Ye Tian decided to strike hard, to utterly crush Wang Qingshan and the Splendor Group he had woven himself into, and then, the entire Wang Family.
“My dear, how about we make a deal?” Ye Tian said.
“What kind of deal?” Yun Xinyan asked.
“I help you take down Wang Qingshan, and you give me a son, how about that?” Ye Tian said, as nonchalant as the breeze.
“Gross!” Yun Xinyan glared at him, “This is the office; don’t talk nonsense.
Luckily no one’s here, or what would people think if they heard you?”
“I’m serious about having a child,” Ye Tian said.
Yun Xinyan didn’t respond, her head down, tapping away at the keyboard, clearly dodging the subject.
“Silence means consent,” Ye Tian smirked devilishly, “I’ll take it as a yes then.
Once Wang Qingshan is down, you have to bear me a son.
No backing out this time.”
With that, Ye Tian didn’t waste any more words, he simply walked out of Yun Xinyan’s office and returned to his own security room, plopping down on the chair and dialing a certain number.
“Hello, Peaceful Blossom Police Beauty, it’s me, Ye Tian, your Prince Charming,” Ye Tian said with a cheeky grin.
“Stop talking nonsense, you’re not, show-off,” Wang Ke’er chided from the other end of the line.
Ye Tian chuckled and started to tease mischievously, “Not to mention it, Peaceful Blossom Police Beauty, but your chest is too small.
Let’s have a meal together someday, then hit a hotel; I’ll give you a massage, free of charge.”
“Go away, you’re not serious.
I’m hanging up,” Wang Ke’er said, both embarrassed and angry, cursing inwardly that this guy was never serious and always had those naughty thoughts.
“Hey, don’t hang up on me, I have something serious,” Ye Tian said.
“Then spit it out,” Wang Ke’er urged.
“What happened with that Muay Thai expert, did you get who’s behind it all from the interrogation?” Ye Tian asked.
In fact, he could have guessed even if he hadn’t asked; the mastermind behind it all was Wang Qingshan, surely seeking revenge for Wang Qian by hiring a Muay Thai expert to kill him.
It made perfect logical sense.
When the matter of Chai Cai was mentioned, Wang Ke’er’s spirits immediately deflated with a sigh, utterly disappointed.
“What’s wrong, didn’t get anything out of him?” Ye Tian perked up with all sorts of suggestions, “Tiger bench, chili water, and if that didn’t work, jab his fingernails with a knife.
If he still won’t talk, brand him with a hot iron right on his little jiji, bet he’ll spill everything then.”
It was a joke; interrogating a criminal was right up his alley; hand that Chai Cai over to him, and he’d make the guy confess even the bed-wetting incidents from his childhood.
Unexpectedly, Wang Ke’er said, “He’s dead.”
Ye Tian was immediately shaken.
“What, he’s dead?
How did he die?
To die in police custody must be Wang Qingshan silencing him, utterly lawless.
To lay hands on him right in the police station, this is really lawless.”
Wang Ke’er let out a sigh, “He died on the way back to the station, bit into a poison capsule in his mouth.
There wasn’t even time to save him, he died on the spot.”
“Damn it!” Ye Tian said.
Ye Tian had been counting on that lead with Chai Cai to solidify the evidence against Wang Qingshan, but now that seemed impossible.
Without saying another word, Ye Tian hung up on Wang Bingbing.
“Damn it, Wang Qingshan, you crafty old fox, playing games with me, are you?
Well, let’s see how you die now!
You’ve forced my hand.”
For the next few hours, Ye Tian stayed in his office, smoking, doing nothing else.
At the end of the workday, he escorted Yun Xinyan home as usual.
After dinner, Ye Tian sprung into action,
He went to the entrance of Jin Guan City, took a cab to the bustling night market, slipped into a certain alleyway, and when he emerged, he had transformed into the guise of a construction worker, dressed in tattered shoes and pants, his head covered with a dirty and disheveled wig, an entirely different person.
Even Yun Xinyan wouldn’t have recognized him.
Ye Tian walked directly to the distant seaport, finding a corner to squat in.
After a long wait, a freighter docked at the port, and he checked his watch, it was precisely midnight.
Midnight was exactly the time when Wang Qingshan trafficked women to Africa and smuggled diamonds and jewelry.
Not far away at the dock, several burly men were loading containers onto the ship and exchanging metal briefcases with some Africans.
From his experience rescuing Wang Bingbing, Ye Tian knew that the containers didn’t carry ordinary cargo; they were filled with trafficked women.
The metal briefcases, too, did not contain cash, but diamonds.
“Now’s the time,” Ye Tian dashed forward all of a sudden.
Without a word, he swung a fist, and the crane moving the containers immediately broke down, leaving the container on the ground, from which came the sound of banging for help and the cries of women.
The dock enforcers were no pushovers; seeing a beggar-like figure in Ye Tian, two men drew their guns and fired: bang, bang, bang, bullets flying.
Ye Tian caught the bullets barehanded and flicked them back with finger power.
Thud, thud, thud!
The bullets hit the enforcers, and they fell to the ground in droves.
Seeing Ye Tian’s incredible feat of catching bullets barehanded, the enforcers fell to their knees.
It was too terrifying; who would dare to fight someone who could catch bullets, a real-life superhero?
Without exerting much effort, Ye Tian subdued the enforcers and the African men, saved the girls trapped in the containers, and grabbed several large cases of diamonds.
“Wang Qingshan, let’s see if you don’t die this time!” Ye Tian smiled in satisfaction and dialed a certain number: “Hello, Wang Ke’er, bring your colleagues over to the docks, I’ve got a gift for you.
You’re going to have to repay me with your body this time, hahaha.”
