Tyche easily dealt with Talona and claimed her divine portfolio.
Perhaps due to the existence of magic and divine arts, herbalism was not highly valued in the world of Faerûn. Divine spells and magical spells could resolve most ailments; as long as you were wealthy enough, even death could be reversed with resurrection spells. Open wounds could be healed by healing spells and divine arts of positive energy. Upon closer inspection, only Talona, the goddess of poison and disease, was involved in the field of herbalism among the gods.
Although Talona only researched poison-making techniques that aligned with her divine portfolio of poison, she was still a leader in the field of herbalism.
Talona, of the chaotic evil alignment, possessed the divine portfolios of poison and disease. Tyche spent a considerable amount of time purifying these two portfolios. The emergence of the divine portfolios of health and herbalism compensated for the deficiencies in healing, forming a synergy with the portfolio of protection for women and children.
Heimdall, the god of guarding, held the divine portfolios of defense, guarding, and vigilance. With the assistance of her allies, Tyche carved out the divine portfolio of protection from his domain. With the emergence of the new divine portfolio, Tyche naturally ascended a level to become a lesser deity.
Having become a lesser deity, Tyche's power was such that even the greater deities could not ignore her. Oghma, the god of knowledge, invited Tyche to join the pantheon of knowledge multiple times. Gond, who was devoted to forging, also showed goodwill and reached a series of mutual assistance agreements with Tyche.
Tyche declined whenever possible, and when it was difficult to decline, she could only manage to cope.
Having lost her divine portfolio of death and had almost all of her avatars destroyed, Cyric was forced to tread carefully. His followers originated from the Dead Three, and their hastily converted faith was not very devout. Many even bishops experienced fluctuations in their faith!
Cyric himself was no easy adversary. The incident involving the transfer of his divine portfolio of Cyric and death exposed his bluster. Furthermore, having made enemies everywhere and lacking allies, the good deities, now free, united to strike at the church of Cyric.
This greater deity, who had ascended to power overnight, was almost toppled from his throne. If it weren't for the fall of Max, the god of thieves, which led thieves to turn their faith to Cyric, replenishing his followers, his fate would have been to become a lesser or even a minor deity.
Tyche accepted the invitation of Selûne, the moon goddess, to the Realm of Brightwater. Eilistraee, the chaotic good goddess of love, welcomed Tyche along with Selûne.
From Tyche's perspective, the principles of the chaotic good deities were entirely capricious. Although they acknowledged all virtues and justice, they were unwilling to be bound by laws and regulations. It was impossible to arbitrarily command these individuals or make them obey orders; they had their own set of moral standards, which, while not inherently evil, were not entirely the same as common moral standards.
Take Eilistraee, for example, a greater deity who commanded the divine portfolios of love, beauty, charm, and passion. She showed Tyche the lower limits of the chaotic good alignment. The clerics of the Lady of Fire would acquire wealth donations from believers through illicit transactions. What Tyche found even more incomprehensible was that during the intimate moments between clerics and believers, this goddess would occasionally descend upon the clerics to enjoy physical pleasure! In a sense, this was equivalent to Eilistraee participating in.....!
Although there were temple prostitutes in both India and Babylon, Tyche found it somewhat unacceptable that a goddess would personally participate.
"Welcome to the Realm of Brightwater."
Eilistraee's avatar wore a complex red veil. However, the layers of thin gauze failed to serve their intended purpose, using very little material in areas that accentuated feminine charm, creating an indescribable allure.
Tyche raised a perfectly curved smile, and the three goddesses exchanged pleasantries as they walked towards the banquet.
The Realm of Brightwater was inhabited entirely by female deities. Led by Selûne, Tyche met Lliira, the goddess of joy, Tymora, the goddess of luck, Sharrr, the goddess of cats and dance, and Shen-Tsu, the goddess of nobility. Driven by joy and passion, the goddesses danced ecstatically, complementing the resplendent divine palace, a fitting scene.
The attending attendants were all handsome men. To Tyche's somewhat astonished gaze, the Lady of Fire, Eilistraee, reached out and caressed an attendant's chest, almost stripping him bare in an instant!
Tyche even saw a group of tieflings. These half-humans, half-fiends naturally knew how to please women, and they danced around Lliira, accompanying the goddess of joy.
An ambiguous atmosphere permeated the divine palace, leaving Tyche greatly shocked! All she could see were handsome men with their clothes half-off, and Tyche could only cover her face and retreat.
Aphrodite, I'm sorry! I misjudged you!
The goddesses entangled with men became even bolder. Eilistraee leaned against a man of elven descent, playfully laughing, her fair arms entwined around the half-elf's neck like vines, enjoying his service.
'Big sister! I was wrong! You are pursuing freedom according to your true heart. I am willing to honor you as a spokesperson for women's rights. Please stop!'
Tyche's silent cry clearly did not reach Eilistraee's heart. The unrestrained Lady of Fire lowered the curtain and pushed the half-elf down. The sound of tearing fabric almost made Tyche jump.
Turning to look at Selûne, the moon goddess, Tyche discovered that Selûne's behavior was even more unrestrained!
Putting down her wine glass, Tyche calmly waved away the man who had approached her and walked out of this "Spider's Den" to admire the beautiful scenery of the Realm of Brightwater.
Besides Tyche, the Red Knight, a subordinate deity of Tempus, the god of war, was also among the invited guests. This minor deity was recently promoted by Tempus and was in charge of the divine portfolios of tactics, planning, and victory, responsible for strategizing on the battlefield.
This lady of strategy clearly did not seem accustomed to such occasions and stood in a corner, saying nothing.
Tyche went up to greet the Red Knight and defended the goddesses, saying, "Don't think they are unreasonable. Eternal deities must find some amusement to pass the boring time. Human morality cannot restrain deities; you will eventually get used to it."
Although she could not accept it, Tyche knew that their actions were consensual and that there was nothing to criticize.
"In the Sleeper's Rest, all time is spent honing martial skills! There are also female warriors among my father's followers; they fight no less fiercely than men."
Perhaps because the god of war and the goddess of love were naturally at odds, Tempus held Eilistraee in contempt. The Lord of War believed that the followers of the Lady of Fire only caused warriors to lose their ambition, and even had his clerics drive away Eilistraee's followers. The Red Knight, who regarded Tempus as her father, naturally did not have much affection for Eilistraee.
Tempus, of the chaotic neutral alignment, maintained a certain degree of respect for the peaceful ideals of the goddess of fountains. He had repeatedly ordered his followers not to invade Ada's altars and sacred sites, even though Ada had protested his rudeness and acts of war multiple times, he had dismissed them with a smile.
"Then why did you accept the invitation?"
Tyche was somewhat confused. Eilistraee's flamboyant lifestyle was no secret. Her clerics considered masked gatherings a form of devotion to the goddess, and many clerics were rewarded by Eilistraee with promotions. The Red Knight had no need to force herself; with Tempus backing her, everyone would give her some face.
After hesitating for a moment, the Red Knight looked towards the divine realm of Waukeen, the goddess of commerce, in the distance. "My father suspects that the church of Waukeen has been involved in several demon summoning incidents. I believe we might find clues in the Realm of Brightwater."
