Chapter 19 The Transaction

"Deal!" Tyche agreed readily, reaching into her chest and forcefully tearing out the divine origin of weather, the pain of splitting divinity so profound she almost cried out.

Suppressing the urge to wail, Tyche, her expression unchanged, extended the torn divine origin of weather to Theia.

Helios handed the divine office of heat to his mother, unable to help but glance again at the composed Tyche. The pain of splitting the divine origin was a thousand times greater than that of dividing divinity, and Tyche's composure surpassed that of most deities he had witnessed. Helios became even more curious about this goddess, and a sense of admiration arose. Not everyone could stand against a powerful deity without falling into disadvantage.

Theia extended her hands to receive both the divine origin and the divine office, and she was even more appreciative of Tyche's decisiveness. She couldn't help but suggest again, "Are you really not considering becoming Helios's wife? Even if my little brother harbors some wariness, the line of Radiance has the power to protect itself. If you are willing to become Helios's wife, the line of Radiance will fully support you in becoming a powerful deity!"

Tyche struggled to remain seated, enduring the intense pain as she replied, "I will never place my hopes in the hands of others. What I want, I will strive for myself! Whether it is love or power, it is my own choice! No one is allowed to interfere!"

The divine fire, dimmed by the severance of divinity, suddenly blazed fiercely. The wandering divinity of fate actively merged into the divine fire, compensating for the lost origin.

The chosen divine office subtly shifted towards Tyche, and its completion accelerated significantly. The domain of fate opened its doors to this resolute goddess. A weak yet powerful force infused her divine fire, and the newly formed divine power of fate dispelled the causal threads inadvertently attached.

The red threads, unwillingly, entwined around Tyche again, only to be repelled by the divine power of fate. This cycle repeated several times, the causal threads writhing in defiance before finally vanishing before Tyche.

Freed from the constraints of causality, Tyche calmly surveyed everything before her, her transcendent gaze looking down upon Theia and Helios.

Theia sensed this and her radiant divine power shielded the gaze cast from the River of Fate. The divine office of heat was handed to Tyche by Theia. Tyche accepted the orange-red divine spark, and the divine sparks of temperature and cold within her divine fire trembled in unison, their origins instantly merging. The three divine sparks, which could only support the rank of a lesser deity, complemented each other. The divine spark of temperature was instantly perfected, immediately breaking through to the rank of a middle deity.

The gate of primal force opened for Tyche for the third time. Abundant divine power continuously converged into Tyche's body, doubling the connection between her soul and her origin.

Stimulated by the primal force, the divine sparks of weather and water cycle erupted, strengthening Tyche's body. The three middle-tier divine sparks, with temperature at the center, formed a triangle, occupying the core of her divine fire.

The primal force favored Tyche exceptionally, protectively shielding her, and the transformation proceeded with such speed. By the time Theia understood, it was already over. Tyche opened her eyes, a mist clouding her azure gaze, making her intentions inscrutable.

"Congratulations, Tyche! Favored by the world's primal force, you may be the first among the second generation of Titans to ascend to powerful deity status," Theia said with a smile, placing a jeweled crown upon Tyche's head. This radiant goddess of light also possessed the divine office of gems.

Tyche withdrew her divine power and bowed humbly, "Please forgive my rudeness!"

Theia shook her head, "There is nothing to blame you for. You are always welcome to visit the Temple of Radiance in the future."

The goddess of radiance called for her attendants. A group of mountain nymphs entered the temple in formation, bowing in unison to the three deities.

Theia instructed the attendants to hold a banquet. Various delicacies and wines were continuously brought to the feast. At the head of the table, Theia gestured for Tyche to help herself. Tyche, no longer as reserved as she was during her first feast on the divine mountain, enjoyed the food with contentment.

Helios sat to Theia's left, directly opposite Tyche, with hibiscus flowers placed in golden vases separating the two deities. The sun god observed Tyche through the fiery hibiscus, treating the fine wine before him as if it were nothing. Theia, at the head of the table, smiled silently.

The grand feast concluded only when Selene returned. The goddess of dawn informed her brother that it was time for the sun to rise, and Helios departed in haste.

Theia had her two daughters present various gems to Tyche as见面礼 (meeting gifts). Tyche accepted them with a smile and reciprocated with perfume and pearl necklaces.

The moon goddess and the goddess of dawn accompanied Tyche as she left the temple. Tyche said with a smile, "You are always welcome to visit my territory. I am eager to exchange weaving techniques with the goddess Eos."

The goddess of dawn nodded shyly in agreement. Before leaving, she gifted Tyche a flock of golden-fleeced sheep. "The fabric woven from their wool is incredibly strong, impervious even to the flames of the sun chariot. Princess Tyche, your exquisite skills deserve to be displayed with it."

Tyche joyfully accepted this precious gift and promised Eos that she would create a gift in return when they next met. Eos, flustered and unsure of what to say, continuously offered more knots and tapestries.

It was only when Selene, standing beside her, couldn't help but pull her sister away that Tyche managed to extricate herself and depart.
