Chapter 649: Take Them To The Training Centre
Chu Xia, however, still underestimated the ruthlessness of this man. She never thought that for the sake of getting accepted and forgiven by Bai Meiyue, he would be willing to kill her. She scrambled to her feet and ran out of the apartment. She might as well stay somewhere else for the time being instead of staying next to Bai Qingshi. That man had lost his mind. He was now blaming her and her daughter for what happened to him. If she stayed with him, then he would certainly kill her when she was asleep. She couldn’t afford to wait for that to happen!

Chu Xia’s head snapped up. She turned to look at the woman who was speaking and walked over in a hurry. "What did you say? Old Master Bai is living with Bai Meiyue?" How could that old man, who was the head of the Bai family of the capital, end up living in the mansion where Bai Meiyue was living?
The two women who were talking turned and looked at Chu Xia. The two of them didn’t want to talk with Chu Xia, for the woman was an enemy of Bai Meiyue and her family, but when they thought about her status as Bai Feng’s stepmother, they could only relay what they knew to Chu Xia.
"It’s nothing. I heard from my brother that he saw Old Master Bai and his pregnant granddaughter-in-law at the mansion. It seems like the two of them are staying with Bai Meiyue because Old Master Bai’s granddaughter-in-law is pregnant and Bai Meiyue is the only one who has a properly running hospital at the moment."
When Chu Xia heard that Bai Meiyue had actually run into Old Master Bai already, she became scared. She didn’t know a lot about the entire child exchange matter, but what she did know was that Yan Wanning looked a lot like Old Madam Bai; it was for this reason that the girl was sent so far from the capital. It was to make sure that no one would realise that the daughter growing up in the Bai mansion was not the real one.
The Bai couple also kept Yan Wanning as downtrodden as possible because they wanted to make sure that she would not be able to regain the beauty that she originally had. If not for Bai Qingshi falling in love with her, maybe that couple would have scratched that heaven-defying face.
If Old Master Bai was staying with Bai Meiyue, then it meant that he also met with Yan Wanning. Then didn’t it mean that it was a matter of time for the truth to come out? Chu Xia felt fearful. Bai Meiyue looked at her brother, who kept glancing at Meng Qibao. It seemed like her brother really did hold back and do nothing to Meng Qibao last night; compared to all the men in the mansion, he did look like a saint.
"It seems like you two are now in control of your powers," said Bai Meiyue as she could no longer feel the urge to buckle anymore.
"Yeah, we are so sorry about that," Meng Suisui bowed in front of Bai Meiyue. "Last night, I heard we caused a lot of trouble. We didn’t mean that to happen, but there is no excuse for what happened."
When Meng Qibao didn’t say anything, Meng Suisui straightened up and kicked the man in the bottom. Meng Qibao rolled his eyes and said, "Yeah, we are sorry about what happened last night; it won’t happen again."
Meng Suisui glared at her younger brother and turned to look at Bai Meiyue. "I heard that we caused a lot of trouble for you during the last few months. Thank you for looking out for us and not abandoning the two of us when we were like that... I don’t know what to say or how to thank you."
Bai Meiyue waved her hand. "There is no need for you to thank me. I just did what I should have done." She turned to look at Bai Zhan and said to him, "Brother, take the two of them to the training centre. The one we built last week."
