Chapter 62: Chapter 62: You’re Trying to Tempt Someone’s Body [Please favor and recommend]_1

Sha Chen transmitted a message to Tianpeng secretly, scolding, "Is that your way of repaying kindness? You’re just lusting after her body, you despicable pig!"

With a look of grievance, Tianpeng replied, "Old Sha, you have seven Immortal Maidens from The Cave of the Silken Web, a different one for every day of the week, whereas I’m still a lonely man. How can you be so heartless?"

Sha Chen was furious. "What nonsense are you spouting? Have you forgotten the promise you made me, to keep a firm mind and not give Buddhism any leverage against us? You’re supposed to persevere for at least five hundred years!"

It was as if Tianpeng might as well have had the word "Lust" engraved on his forehead.

With a mournful tone, he said, "I’ve truly kept a firm resolve! I haven’t flirted with other young girls, nor have I eaten humans or done evil deeds. I’m just repaying kindness; how would that give Buddhism any leverage!?"

Sha Chen was nearly driven mad by this pig.

He glanced at the lady in white, then back at Tianpeng, and transmitted, "Do you realize she’s a demon? A White Bone Demon!"

Tianpeng said matter-of-factly, "Of course, I know. Miss Bai Jingjing comes from Three Corpse Cave and is a demon who has cultivated for several hundred thousand years."

Sha Chen’s cheeks twitched. "And you still get involved with her!?"

Tianpeng replied, "I’m really just repaying kindness. And what’s wrong with demons? They can be good or bad, just like the Seven Immortal Maidens from The Cave of the Silken Web."

Sha Chen found himself at a loss for words. This guy’s lust had clouded his judgment.

He felt he needed to wake this idiot up and reinforce his dedication to his spiritual cultivation, to just get by carefully with him.

Women are all just rosy-cheeked skeletons. And this one is a white-powdered skeleton.

Taking a deep breath, Sha Chen said, "Anyway, I can’t let her in. Tianpeng, you can come in; I have some important matters to discuss with you."

Tianpeng asked, "Then what about Miss Bai?"

Sha Chen replied, "To the west of the Flowing Sand River, there is a Taoist temple called Huanghua Temple. Its master has died, and the temple stands empty. She can go there to stay for now, and you can find her later when you leave."

Tianpeng looked towards the White Bone Demon and said, "Miss Bai, why don’t you wait there for me first?"

The White Bone Demon glanced at Sha Chen and then, with a sweet smile, said, "General for Folding the Curtain, why are you so afraid of a little girl like me?"

Sha Chen replied, "I’m afraid you’ll eat me."

The White Bone Demon said, "As a White Bone Demon, I lack a stomach and intestines; I cannot eat you, General for Folding the Curtain."

With profound meaning, Sha Chen said, "But you also lack a heart."

The White Bone Demon’s expression changed. She turned and left the water, seemingly heading for Huanghua Temple.

Tianpeng called out to her several times without a response and could only sigh, "Old Sha, that’s not very kind of you. She saved my life, came all this way, and you just shut the door on her. Where does that leave my dignity?"

Sha Chen asked, "Are you coming in or not?"

Eagerly, Tianpeng said, "Yes, yes, yes."

「Inside the formation.」

Tianpeng looked around and noticed several new additions, particularly a sweet osmanthus tree, which he found very agreeable.

"Since ancient times, deep affection has only brought endless regret, a sorrow that stretches on without end. Back then, I just took one more glance at Fairy Chang E. I saw her stumble while dancing and went to help her, but ended up being treated like a hoodlum, banished from Heaven, and turned into a pig."

Sha Chen asked, "Where did you touch her when you helped her?"

Tianpeng replied, "I ended up touching her Jade Rabbit."

Sha Chen questioned, "Does the Jade Rabbit have the qualifications to attend the Peach Banquet?"

Tianpeng’s gaze turned distant. He then shook his head and said, "Of course, it has no right to attend."

Sha Chen fell silent. This guy deserved his fate!

Tianpeng sighed. "Every night when I see the moon, I feel ashamed and know I’m not worthy of Fairy Chang E."

Sha Chen said, "It’s good that you’re self-aware."

Tianpeng rolled his eyes. "Old Sha, at times like these, you should be comforting me, not dousing me with cold water."

Sha Chen replied, "Your lust has already clouded your judgment. If I were to comfort you any further, you’d probably think you could ascend to Heaven itself!"

Tianpeng said, "I know you think Miss Bai’s background is dubious and her behavior suspicious, but she truly meant well. You’re overthinking it."

"If you want to stay here, she, a mere girl, can’t force you to leave."

Sha Chen looked calmly at Tianpeng. His next words stunned Tianpeng into silence.

"She’s afraid that I truly *won’t* submit."

Tianpeng was deeply hurt. "Brother, give it to me straight—if I were taken hostage, would you break your principles to save me?"

Sha Chen replied, "It depends on the situation."

Tianpeng asked, "What situation?"

Sha Chen explained, "If it doesn’t threaten my safety, and it’s convenient, I’ll save you."

Tianpeng queried, "Don’t you have even a shred of willingness to sacrifice yourself for me?"

Sha Chen looked at him strangely, about to speak, when Tianpeng suddenly put a hand up to stop him.

With a look of deep sorrow, Tianpeng said, "Enough. Don’t say those three words; I don’t want to hear them."

Sha Chen nodded. This pig was somewhat self-aware.

After a moment, Tianpeng asked, "Why haven’t you prepared a feast like before?"

Sha Chen replied, "Even the cleverest housewife can’t cook without rice. Today, let’s face northwest as we eat and talk."

Tianpeng laughed. "I knew it! You must have something delicious. What are we eating?"

Sha Chen answered, "We’ll have a bit of the northwest wind."

Tianpeng was silent for a long time. If he hadn’t seen Sha Chen’s peach tree, sweet osmanthus tree, and ten God Source Stone mines, he truly would have thought Sha Chen was destitute. In that case, he would have been too embarrassed to ask for food.

But this guy is so rich, yet so miserly! It’s too much!

He pondered for a while, trying to find a reason within himself, then suddenly had a realization and slapped his thigh.

He took out a Qiankun Bag from his belt and said, "Old Sha, brother, I’ve been out adventuring for so long. The reason I was being hunted overseas was that I’d ransacked the lairs of a few major demons. This is their loot; consider it a token of my respect for you."

Sha Chen’s demeanor brightened instantly. Chuckling, he took the bag and looked inside, his surprise mixed with delight; it was far more substantial than what the Black Bear Demon had brought back.

Feigning reluctance, Sha Chen said, "Tianpeng, we’re brothers. Why stand on ceremony? Take it back, or I’ll get angry."

Seeing Sha Chen grip the bag tightly with no intention of returning it, Tianpeng said, "It’s fine! You saved me before and taught me spells and Divine Powers. Without you, where would I be today!?"

Sha Chen said seriously, "Good brother, you look truly handsome when you’re repaying kindness."

He grinned. "Now, it’s as if the word ’Handsome’ is engraved right on your forehead! Sit tight for a moment; I’ll go check if we have any leftovers."

Then he cheerfully went down and soon returned with a table full of sumptuous dishes and wine.

Laughing, he said, "What do you know, there really was some!"

Tianpeng smacked his lips. This meal is truly lavish, he thought, though a bit on the expensive side. Thankfully, I was shrewd enough to hold back most of the tribute I offered earlier!
