Chapter 32 Heaven's Fury Roars

Xin Lei's hair and beard flew wildly, fierce lightning surging around his body, sparking with dangerous arcs.

"Thorn of Heavenly Thunder!"

Blue and white lightning enveloped Xin Lei, repelling the Great Tengu's Divine Wind: Razor, allowing only a faint breeze to caress Xin Lei's muscles.

Meanwhile, Yimu clasped his hands together, and numerous thick wooden branches grew from the sacred tree, blocking the tornado's assault.

"Axe of Startling Thunder!" "Divine Wood Whip."

Xin Lei casually gripped a double-bladed battle axe formed from purple lightning. His muscles were then activated by the electricity, and he transformed into a bolt of lightning, piercing towards the Great Tengu.

Yimu, with a wave of his hands, extended the divine wood's branches, which whipped out like fierce green dragons, smashing towards the Great Tengu.

Seeing Xin Lei's attack, the Great Tengu's gaze sharpened. He quickly waved his fan, releasing dozens of wind blades to intercept the divine wood's branches, then flapped his wings, creating two streams of airflow that encased him in a shield.

"You think you can defend against this?! You underestimate me too much!!"

Xin Lei's axe cleaved down upon the Great Tengu's shield. Wind and lightning elements clashed violently, scattering silver sparks and emitting sharp, piercing sounds that echoed through the sky.

"Mortal! Your strength is nothing more than this! Hmph, hmph, hmph—" The Great Tengu mocked with a cold laugh, seeing Xin Lei's attack miss.

"Divine Punishment Strike—"

As Xin Lei spoke, a terrifying current of electricity generated from the dark clouds beneath his feet surged into his body and struck his battle axe, which was instantly infused with the silver-white lightning.

*Crack—*

Xin Lei's battle axe, the clouds beneath his feet, and the clouds above all vibrated. A lightning pillar as thick as a water bucket smashed down upon the Great Tengu's shield.

*Boom—*

The immensely powerful attack instantly shattered the Great Tengu's defenses. Twisting lightning surged through the Great Tengu's body, vibrating his meridians and muscles. His body stiffened, his wings unable to move, and he plummeted from the sky, crashing into the magic circle on the rooftop, kicking up clouds of dust.

As the dust settled, the Great Tengu lay on the ground, disheveled. His stiffened limbs continued to flicker with dancing arcs of electricity, and his golden feathered robes had turned a deep black, losing their luster.

"A disgrace…" Shutendoji said displeasedly.

The Great Tengu glared at Shutendoji but said nothing. He merely climbed to his feet, then airflow surged, restoring him to his previous appearance.

"You have successfully angered me… Mortal, you can be proud of this." The Great Tengu tossed his fan into the air and gathered green demonic energy in his hands, churning the surrounding airflow.

In an instant, a vast typhoon tornado coalesced, with the Great Tengu controlling it at its center.

A terrifying wind pressure instantly bore down on Xin Lei and Yimu.

"Did you hear it? The chant of the Divine Wind! It's a hymn of destruction!"

The Great Tengu clasped his hands, and his demonic energy instantly agitated the already unstable typhoon. Raging air currents laden with wind blades surged towards Xin Lei and Yimu like a torrential rain.

"Divine Wind: Chopping Block Hell!"

Facing this violent power, Xin Lei bent his knees slightly and unleashed his immense spiritual energy.

"Heavenly Thunder—"

*Boom—*

A deafening roar echoed through the sky as furious lightning tore through the thick dark clouds.

Silver-white arcs of electricity surged around Xin Lei. As his ability was unleashed, a blue-white phantom rose from behind him.

This sky-piercing figure was as robust as Xin Lei himself, with bulging muscles and prominent veins. His upper body was bare, his solid arms adorned with prayer beads and bracers. His left hand held a golden cone, and his right wielded a double-bladed battle axe.

The massive drum behind this Dharma Body and its leopard-eyed, sharp-beaked appearance unmistakably identified its identity—the Thunder God.

"Lightning—"

*Crack—*

With Xin Lei's shout, the scale of the thunderous storm grew larger, even seeming to suppress the Great Tengu's techniques.

"They call to me—Thunder God, Thunder Master, True Lord of Thunder… and the thunderstorm is the response!"

Empowered by the Dharma Body, Xin Lei's figure swelled. A battle axe forged from lightning appeared in his hand, along with a golden cone and a war drum. He leaped down from the dark clouds, carrying the immense force of thunder from the heavens, descending directly to face the brunt of the Divine Wind.

As Xin Lei attacked, the Thunder God's phantom raised its right hand, bringing the battle axe down forcefully upon the golden cone in its left hand.

*Boom—Crackling—*

The rumbling thunder seemed to tell the name of this strike:

"Heaven's Wrathful Roar!!—"

The Yamata no Orochi let out a painful howl, then its enraged yellow eyes gradually turned red as it began to search for the source of its injury.

It quickly locked its gaze onto a woman in green.

The woman in green, paying no mind to her exposed position, instead casually waved her hand.

The same green light flashed again, and a female ghost, also dressed in green, stopped behind the woman.

"Human…"

All three heads of the Yamata no Orochi turned, subtly encircling the woman in green.

"I will kill you!"

All three heads smashed down towards the woman in green simultaneously, shattering the already unstable ground.

Principal Liu and Teacher Hu had just pulled out the stunned school doctor when they experienced such a shocking scene. Even though they were far from the battlefield, they were still affected.

The Yamata no Orochi's three heads emerged from the dust, shook a few times, and began to search for the woman in green.

"Stop looking, I'm right here."

A voice like a lark's sounded from behind the Yamata no Orochi. The serpent's vertical pupils contracted, and it immediately turned its head in anger, seeing the woman in green dangling her legs on the pile of rubble.

"Ah!!—"

The Yamata no Orochi began to rage impotently. Its three heads incessantly pursued the woman in green, while the latter, like a nimble butterfly, easily dodged the serpent's attacks.

A laughable scene unfolded—the three heads became tied into a knot, and the three heads stared at each other, looking bewildered.

Seeing her handiwork, the woman in green nodded with satisfaction and clapped her hands, saying, "Little Sadness, Little Grief, come out and deal with this brute."

As she spoke, the previously mentioned green female ghost and a dwarf ghost with a Peking Opera clown face appeared. The two ghosts stepped forward, intending to engage the three heads.

"Bastard! Die for me!" The Yamata no Orochi opened its gaping maw and spat out a mouthful of purple poisonous mist.

The woman in green's pupils constricted. She pushed off the ground with her toes and immediately retreated.

From Principal Liu's perspective, the purple poisonous mist swallowed the woman and her helpers, their fate unknown.

"Principal Liu…" Teacher Hu looked at Principal Liu, waiting for him to decide what to do.

"…" Principal Liu remained silent for a moment, then gritted his teeth and said, "Let's go take a look!"
